Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

But!

In Agoni’s eyes, Fenric’s confidence was nothing more than blind arrogance and foolishness!

Originally, Agoni had held high expectations for this young man.

Now...

Heh!

”Mr. Mundo, are you saying that you possess the strength to become the number one S-class hero?”

A trace of impatience had already crept into Agoni’s tone.

He even sighed inwardly, thinking, ”Young people these days truly don’t know their limits!”

Fenric noticed the shift in Agoni’s attitude, yet he still replied calmly, ”Yes.”

Agoni completely lost his patience and spoke bluntly, ”Mr. Mundo, although I would like to believe you, others will not. I must be responsible to all the heroes within the Hero Association. Therefore... if you truly possess great power, then show it and prove yourself.”

”Here?” Fenric glanced around the spacious office. ”I’m afraid this isn’t the right place.”

Agoni could not help but find Fenric’s expression somewhat unusual.

Could it be that the other party truly possessed immense strength?

However, according to his grandson’s description, that did not seem to be the case!

”Of course not here...”

After a brief moment of thought, Agoni said, ”Mr. Mundo, have you heard about the culprit who destroyed H City?”

Fenric shook his head honestly. ”No.”

Agoni was not surprised. The matter had been classified, and the general public was indeed unaware of it.

”It’s a massive centipede—extremely powerful. With a single movement of its body, it can easily flatten large areas... Among all the monsters that have appeared so far, this centipede is the strongest. The government’s top officials are deeply concerned. If it is not stopped, it may destroy the entire world!”

Hearing this, Fenric immediately understood which monster Agoni was referring to.

Elder Centipede.

In this world, its disaster level was at least Dragon-tier or higher.

Agoni continued, ”When I founded the Hero Association, I made a decision: whoever can stop that terrifying centipede will become the number one S-class hero!!”

Fenric was slightly startled.

He suddenly recalled that in the original timeline three years later, it had been mentioned that Blast—the number one S-class hero—had once severely injured Elder Centipede...

Could it be?

Because Blast had gravely wounded Elder Centipede, even though he rarely appeared and did not follow the association’s orders, he still retained the title of number one S-class hero.

The more Fenric considered it, the more plausible it seemed.

”Mr. Mundo, I have some confidential footage of that terrifying centipede. You may watch it, but you must keep it strictly confidential afterward.”

As he spoke, Agoni activated the holographic projection screen in the office.

Moments later, the footage began to play.

The screen displayed a gigantic centipede rampaging through a city...

Countless civilians screamed as they fled in panic.

The artillery fire from the human military had no effect whatsoever. Even the massive shells humanity once took pride in could do nothing more than irritate the monstrous creature.

The footage lasted only a few minutes.

Yet it clearly documented a devastating human catastrophe...

After watching the video.

Agoni’s expression grew heavy.

”H City was reduced to ruins by that terrifying centipede. It once had a population of six million. Now... not a single person remains.”

At this point, Agoni asked, ”Mr. Mundo, do you still wish to prove yourself as the number one S-class hero?”

Agoni had assumed that after witnessing the centipede’s overwhelming might, the young man before him would retreat.

Elder Centipede’s power was truly despair-inducing.

Unexpectedly...

Fenric said calmly, ”Do you have any information about its current whereabouts? I’d like to know where it is now.”

”You...”

Agoni looked at Fenric in astonishment. ”Mr. Mundo, are you truly planning to confront that terrifying centipede?”

”Of course.” Fenric nodded. ”Since it was Mr. Agoni who set the rules, I will not break them. Besides... that centipede is merely average.”

Seeing Fenric’s composed expression, Agoni found it hard to believe.

Now he was certain.

The young man before him was either a fool—or someone truly extraordinary.

Would it be the latter?

...

When Fenric exited Agoni’s office, he shot straight into the sky and headed directly toward H City.

After occupying H City, Elder Centipede had remained there, treating the ruined city as its own territory.

Agoni immediately convened an emergency meeting and invited high-ranking government officials to attend.

Soon.

The large conference room was filled to capacity.

Seated at the head of the table, Agoni waited until everyone had arrived before saying, ”Since everyone is present, let us begin.”

A senior government official could not help but ask, ”Mr. Agoni, may I ask what the purpose of this meeting is?”

Agoni smiled faintly and slowly declared:

”To witness firsthand the elimination of humanity’s greatest threat by a hero!!”

At this moment, Agoni sighed inwardly, realizing how shortsighted he had been earlier for failing to recognize true talent.

In the office, he had seen the man who called himself Mundo detonate a high-explosive grenade in his bare hand...

And yet, Mundo’s hand had remained completely unharmed!

That alone was enough to prove he was no ordinary person!

Agoni did not know whether Mundo could truly defeat that terrifying centipede.

However, he chose to believe in him—and to believe that he could create a miracle!

Meanwhile, the people in the conference room were confused by Agoni’s statement.

Witness the elimination of humanity’s threat?

What threat?

Which hero had defeated it?

”Mr. Agoni, I don’t understand. Please clarify,” someone said.

Agoni smiled faintly. ”Time is limited. Let us watch the footage first.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he instructed his assistant to activate the large display screen in the conference room.

Before Fenric departed, Agoni had obtained his permission and dispatched numerous miniature surveillance drones to record the battle.

At that moment, the display screen lit up, revealing the desolate sky above a ruined city.

Someone recognized the location and exclaimed in shock:

”This is... H City!?”
