Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Chapter 155: Chapter 155: Take a Wave of the Son of Luck’s Fortune!

”This one?”

Seeing how terrified the rich man was of Fenric, Jackson Curtis finally spoke.

Jackson—this was no ordinary man.

He was the Son of Luck!

The protagonist of 2012!

Anyone who has watched the movie knows that this man is practically blessed by the gods of fortune, surviving disaster after disaster with invincible luck.

In the end, he even saves the entire Ark.

With luck like that, Fenric naturally intended to stick close to him—at least until they reached the Ark safely.

”Hello, I’m Ronan Anderson,” Fenric said with a calm smile, extending his hand toward Jackson.

Jackson immediately shook it, still polite even under pressure.

”Hello, Mr. Anderson. I’m Jackson Curtis—but just call me Jackson. It’s good to meet you.”

Fenric nodded and turned his gaze to the rich man.

”The disaster will hit in about five minutes. Why are you still standing there in a daze?”

The rich man jolted like someone waking from a nightmare. ”Quick! Get the plane ready for takeoff!” he barked at his pilot.

One pilot wasn’t enough for such a massive aircraft.

Jackson’s friend, Gordon, was reluctantly forced to help.

Rumble—

The old cargo plane creaked as its engines struggled to start. Two of the engines even failed at first.

But in the end, just like the original plot, the plane still managed to take off.

After all, the Son of Luck was on board!

Almost at the exact moment the plane left the ground, disaster struck Los Angeles.

The earth split open. Skyscrapers toppled like dominoes. The ground itself seemed to crumble and sink.

The sky roared. The mountains shook.

Words were not enough to describe this cataclysmic disaster.

Everyone on the plane watched in horror through the windows.

People were screaming. Cities were crumbling. Lives were being snuffed out in seconds.

Their faces turned pale.

Even Fenric frowned.

Though his will was strong, he was still human—no one could remain entirely unmoved when watching the end of the world unfold before their eyes.

The pilot, skilled and steady, managed to weave the aircraft past collapsing skyscrapers, gradually climbing higher into the sky.

But even as they gained altitude, no one on board felt joy.

The heavy atmosphere lingered.

Jackson’s young daughter, Lily, sobbed uncontrollably, unable to be comforted.

The poor girl was terrified.

”Lily, it’s okay. Daddy’s here. I’ll never leave you,” Jackson murmured, trying his best to soothe her.

The constant crying was giving Fenric a headache.

He couldn’t exactly scold a child, but he couldn’t ignore it either.

Then his eyes landed on a deck of poker cards lying on a table.

He picked them up, walked over, and knelt in front of Lily.

”Jackson, let me try,” Fenric said casually.

Jackson looked up in surprise.

From the way the rich man treated Fenric with such fear and respect, Jackson already knew this mysterious man wasn’t someone to mess with. But he hadn’t expected Fenric to bother with something as simple as comforting a little girl.

”Mr. Anderson, I... I appreciate it,” Jackson said, stepping aside.

Fenric gave a warm smile, turning to the girl.

”Hello, Lily. I have a special friend who wants to meet you.”

”Friend?” Lily sniffled, her tearful eyes blinking with curiosity.

She assumed it was some kind of animal and immediately looked at Fenric expectantly.

Everyone’s attention shifted to Fenric.

They wanted to see what kind of trick this strange man would pull to coax a child.

Fenric knelt on the ground, spread the deck of cards out, and with a calm tone, said,

”Change!”

His voice wasn’t quiet. Everyone heard him clearly.

Om—

The cards trembled.

Then, as if commanded, they moved.

”Oh my God...” Jackson’s ex-wife whispered in shock.

The cards—lifeless objects a second ago—slid across the floor like living creatures.

Even Belle, who knew of Fenric’s powers, couldn’t help but stare.

As a Samsara player, she’d seen Fenric’s strength, but she hadn’t yet witnessed the more ”playful” side of his abilities.

Piece by piece, the cards assembled.

Ten seconds later, a figure appeared on the floor—a human shape, with arms, legs, and a head—all made from the poker deck.

It wasn’t as if someone had painstakingly built it by hand.

No.

Fenric had merely commanded, and the cards had obeyed.

”...”

”...”

The cabin fell silent.

All eyes were on Fenric.

”Stand up,” Fenric ordered.

Like a divine command, his words came true.

The card figure wobbled, then stood upright—its body made entirely of poker cards, yet it remained perfectly balanced.

”Oh! God, what am I seeing?”

”Is this... magic?”

”This is unbelievable!”

The adults whispered in shock, their fear momentarily forgotten.

As for Lily, she had stopped crying.

Her big, watery eyes stared at the dancing card figure, utterly mesmerized.

”Dance,” Fenric said with a smirk.

The card figure began to sway and twist awkwardly. It was clumsy, yes, but that only made it funnier.

”It’s so cool!”

The rich man’s two sons wriggled out of their father’s arms, running over to watch up close.

Lily’s tears were replaced by laughter as she clapped happily, completely forgetting her fear.

With one last wave of his hand, Fenric released his mental control.

The poker cards collapsed to the floor with a soft flop, flop!

The children broke into applause, cheering for Fenric’s ”magic performance.”

”WOOW!!”

”It’s amazing, Mr. Ronan. How did you do that?” Jackson asked in astonishment, still staring at the scattered poker cards.

Fenric smiled faintly. ”A magician’s secrets can’t be revealed so casually.”

He turned to the little girl. ”Lily, did you like it?”

”Very much! Thank you, Uncle!” Lily beamed, her earlier fear completely gone.

Fenric nodded, gently patting the little girl’s head before returning to his seat.

”Belle, take a rest. We still have a long way to go,” he said calmly.

With that, Fenric stood and approached a nearby Rolls-Royce.

Crack!

The sudden noise startled everyone.

The car door, which had been locked, was yanked off its hinges with a single pull of Fenric’s hands—violence and raw power in their purest form.

”...”

The passengers were dumbfounded.

Just moments ago, this man had gently coaxed a little girl, and now he tore a car door apart like paper.

Was he even human?

Belle’s cheeks flushed slightly, but she obediently slipped into the car and sat down.

Fenric remained outside, leaning back against the car. He found a comfortable position, closed his eyes, and rested with an air of unshakable confidence.

Belle, however, couldn’t sleep.

Though she closed her eyes, her mind wandered back to everything she had witnessed—Fenric’s calm, strategic presence in the dungeon and his effortless display of strength.

She couldn’t help but steal glances at him.

The man beside her was shrouded in mystery, and every moment she spent with him only deepened that feeling.

Ten hours later.

Dawn had broken, and everyone on the plane looked groggy and exhausted.

Boom!

A sudden explosion jolted everyone awake.

”What happened?” someone shouted.

The old engine had short-circuited, and flames burst out with a deafening roar.

”...Ladies and gentlemen,” the pilot’s voice crackled through the intercom, laced with urgency, ”we’re going to have to make an emergency landing. Please brace yourselves!”

The color drained from everyone’s faces.

Emergency landing?

In the middle of this apocalyptic chaos? That was as good as a death sentence!

Even Belle’s expression tightened with nervousness.

Fenric, however, remained unfazed.

”Don’t be afraid,” he said, his tone steady and reassuring. ”We have the Son of Luck with us—it’ll be fine.”

Belle tilted her head. She didn’t quite understand what ”Son of Luck” meant, but seeing Fenric so calm eased her fears.

His presence exuded a quiet strength. That aura alone gave people a sense of safety, as if nothing could go wrong as long as he was there.

In Belle’s eyes, Fenric was utterly reliable.

Just as in the original plot, the pilot, guided by sheer luck—or perhaps fate—managed to spot a frozen river below.

”We’re going to land on the ice!” the pilot shouted.

But the plane’s speed was too high. It wouldn’t stop in time. Everyone had to jump before the impact.

”Belle, hold onto me!” Fenric ordered.

Belle didn’t hesitate. She grabbed him tightly.

In one smooth motion, Fenric leapt from the plane, carrying her in his arms.

Boom!

As they hurtled toward the icy ground, Fenric’s eyes sharpened. His mind power surged outward, smashing into the surface of the ice with incredible force.

A crater burst open on the frozen river from the sheer impact of his mental energy.

The force of the recoil counteracted both gravity and the inertia from their high-speed fall.

Fenric landed steadily, still holding Belle in his arms—calm, composed, and utterly unscathed.

It was as if he had simply stepped off a ledge rather than jumped from a crashing plane.

Everyone still on board stared in shock.

Did he just... jump off a moving plane and land like that?!
