Rising from Small Cloud Rain Technique

The two walked side by side, quickly passing through the hall to reach Feiyun Zhenren’s room.

”Please sit, fellow Daoist.”

Ji An sat down and went straight to the point:

”I wonder what the association’s acquisition model is, is it a direct buyout of the pill formula or is there deeper collaboration?”

A direct buyout is a one-time deal, he directly receives a resource, whereas deeper collaboration is a way to benefit in the long term.

In the long term, the ability to benefit can bring greater interests, but currently, he needs to obtain the Purple Cloud Jade Ganoderma Pill formula as soon as possible. If there is no choice, he can only painfully opt for a one-time deal.

”Of course, it’s deeper collaboration; buying out the pill formula would harm your interests and not aid the association’s development.”

Feiyun Zhenren’s eyes curved like the crescent moon at night:

”You should trust the courage of Nascent Soul Daoist Monarchs. Even if you don’t trust their courage, you should believe the simple truth: ’The more prosperous the base, the more comfortable the top can be.’

One of the purposes of establishing the association is to prosper the Cultivation Realm. The more people below doing things, the more time the Daoist Monarchs can spare for cultivation.

Submitting pill formulas can gain greater returns and inspire alchemists to create pill formulas.

Ji An nodded slightly, a pyramid without a base has no peak. The principle is simple, but there are always shortsighted people who don’t see it.

”You may tell me the association’s terms, fellow Daoist.”

”According to regulations, after the association acquires the pill formula, the Cloud Sea Immortal City branch holds the exclusive rights for ten years.

During this period, only our branch can operate it; the pill formula is not handed over to other branches, only a copy is sent to headquarters for filing.

For each Fire Element Pill successfully sold, you can get half of the profit and ten Contribution Points.

After ten years, all branches can refine this pill, and you can get one percent of the profit, plus one Contribution Point per pill sold.”

Her voice became excited, even slightly enticing:

”Think about it, there are dozens of large branches and hundreds of small branches throughout Central Continent; by then, the yearly income you get might even make Late-stage Golden Core Daoist Masters envious.

In the future, your Daoist name will also be marked in the pill formula of the Fire Element Pill, ensuring that the name Xuanqing Daoist Master leaves a vivid mark in the history of alchemy in the Cultivation Realm.”

If a suitable pill formula can be created, alchemists will no longer worry about cultivation resources.

In her view, the spirit plants required for the pill formula do not need special growth environments, allowing the spirit medicine to be widely planted.

The number of Tier Three Red Cloud Pines is limited due to low profit after planting, but now that situation has improved, and the planting quantity of Red Cloud Pines will rapidly increase.

The most ordinary Tier Three Spiritual Vein, or even Tier Two top-quality spiritual veins, can cultivate Tier Three Red Cloud Pines; vast Cultivation Realms can cultivate large quantities of Spirit Pines in just a short century.

By then, the lives of Early-stage Golden Core cultivators will be much better.

Feiyun Zhenren sighed inwardly; creating pill formulas is not surprising as countless pill formulas have existed in the Cultivation Realm throughout history. The challenge lies in creating formulas that can be widely promoted.

A practical issue faces cultivators: if a pill’s efficacy is excellent but the materials are hard to find or cultivate, it greatly dampens alchemists’ enthusiasm.

Decades of seldomly opening the furnace may leave alchemists scraping by!

Her goal is to create such pill formulas, unexpectedly overtaken by a Westerner cultivator.

Ji An showed a polite smile, ”Sounds wonderful.”

But it’s just a beautiful sound; within ten years, despite seemingly considerable benefits, how many Fire Element Pills can the association truly refine?

He didn’t haggle over this issue but asked about what he cared most:

”If I use future pill formula profits as collateral, can I obtain the Purple Cloud Jade Ganoderma Pill formula now?”

The approaching great tribulation urges him to seize all possible resources to elevate himself, providing more security through cultivation improvement.

If he can’t get the pill formula now, he would prefer selling the Fire Element Pill formula now for Contribution Points to exchange for the formula.

Although such an approach is as foolish as killing the goose that lays golden eggs for eggs, it saves time.

Feiyun Zhenren thought deeply:

”There’s no regulation explicitly allowing this, but none explicitly disallowing it either.

In Cloud Sea Immortal City, I can make half of the decisions, and I will discuss with the other two Daoist Masters to fight for this opportunity for you.

However, one point needs to be clear: early withdrawal is akin to a loan and requires more Contribution Points to be paid in the future.

Only with this assurance can I convince the other two.”

While she serves as steward, the association is not her personal rule.

This is merely a formality; she’s friendly enough with the other two Daoist Masters that the decision will be passed, something not necessary to disclose to the counterpart.

Ji An cupped his hands, saying:

”Thank you, fellow Daoist. Consider me indebted to you.”

”May I ask, when will we know the results?”

”You seem quite preoccupied with the pill formula,” said Feiyun Zhenren, contemplating before continuing:

”Let’s do this. Today, I will discuss with the other Daoist Masters, and you can come back late this afternoon at 5:00 PM for the results.”

She’s puzzled by his obsession with the pill formula, as obtaining it isn’t near opening the furnace for refining.

Every four or five years, she can only get the chance to refine two batches of Purple Cloud Ganoderma Pills, with support from family and association.

The growth cycle of High-tier Spiritual Medicine is exceedingly lengthy, needing to be planted in Tier Three or above Spirit Field, and tended by High-tier Spirit Farmers. Accumulating enough age requires three to four hundred years.

Central Continent is home to many stable, longstanding forces, built upon generations of accumulation to maintain the status quo.

If dismissing the Earth Vein’s impact, True Demon Tribulation may not be a bad thing, leading to countless cultivators perishing, creating broader living space for survivors.

In the absence of special circumstances, the East Sea Cultivation Realm should be the most prosperous area, with periodic minor clashes and millennial major clashes between Sea Beast Race and Human Race.

This reshuffling of Cultivation Realm forces allows stagnant powers to be swept out, granting thriving ones wider space.

”Alright, here’s a jar of Tier Three Lower Grade Cloud Peak Silver Tea for you to try, fellow Daoist,”

Ji An said, taking out a fist-sized green porcelain jar and placing it on the table, gifting Tier Three Middle Grade Spirit Tea is too precious, inappropriate gifting, risking the recipient’s greed and being disadvantageous.

Feiyun Zhenren laughed lightly behind her hand, ”Accepting without merit makes me have to work hard.”

...

Late afternoon, Ji An returns to the Certification Association as agreed.

Guided by a maid into Feiyun Zhenren’s room, he saw her full smile and knew the outcome was assured.

The two seated as host and guest, and Feiyun Zhenren jested:

”I should’ve shown signs of difficulty earlier, haha.

Gladly I did not fail you, the other Daoist Masters also agreed to open the door for you.”

Her speech became more casual, like longtime acquaintances.

Ji An smiled, ”Thank you, fellow Daoist. How about we have a few drinks at the Tripod Fragrance Pavilion later?”

Feiyun Zhenren waved her hand, ”Don’t rush thanks yet; the matter comes at a cost, requiring 20% of the exchange price in Contribution Points.

Meaning, you need to pay 360,000 Contribution Points over ten years.

Moreover, exchanging the pill formula requires two hundred Top-grade Spirit Stones, payable upfront to take the formula.”

”No problem!”

Ji An said, producing enough spirit stones onto the table and handing over his Alchemist Jade Token:

”I’ve accumulated 120,000 Contribution Points over the years, able to settle this year’s Contribution Points.”

It’s akin to installment purchases, needing merchants to earn extra.

Feiyun Zhenren checked the spirit stones, deducted 36,000 Contribution Points from the jade token via the Spirit Disc, finally handing over a jade slip emitting red spirit light along with the jade token.

”The pill formula is ready.”
