Rising from Small Cloud Rain Technique

Ji An decided to take on the task after careful consideration.

When he would venture out in the future, it would be best to refine the raw materials in the Little World into finished products for sale; his public identities would be Alchemist and Talisman Maker.

Using the Sect’s materials to increase his Alchemy Proficiency was quite beneficial.

Moreover, he would eventually take a Heaven and Earth Spirit Fire Seed, so he needed to make corresponding contributions.

The issue to be resolved was to train an Alchemist to succeed him before leaving.

Lin Jiuxiao frowned slightly and asked:

”When did you learn Alchemy?”

Among the many Golden Core Cultivators in the Sect, only two had real skills. Master Yuxiao could draw Talismans, and Ji An possessed skills as a Spirit Farmer and in Talisman Making, but he never knew that Ji An could also perform Alchemy.

Ji An explained with a smile:

”I’ve been involved in Alchemy for over a hundred years, but I never really took on the Sect’s Alchemy tasks.

Previously, the highest-tier pill I refined was the Vermilion Bird Flame Grass Pill, with over a seventy percent success rate.”

Daoist Master Zhengyang nodded:

”If you, junior brother, are willing to share the Sect’s burdens, I support it.

When the Central Continent Merchant Flying Ship arrives, the Sect will purchase several furnaces of pills.

However, merchants pursue profit and are shrewd. To purchase materials from them will certainly come with a high premium, so junior brother, you need to quickly adjust your state.”

Initially, he intended to train Han Yan, but refining Tier Three Pills demanded more Spiritual Strength due to many intricate operations involved.

Han Yan was only a Chao Origin Stage Cultivator, and there were concerns about his ability to cope since a high rate of failure could place immense pressure on an Alchemist, and the Sect could not afford such losses.

He had been hesitant, recognizing it was imperative for the Sect to cultivate an Alchemist capable of refining Tier Three Pills as there were only two Chao Origin Stage Alchemists in the Sect with limited options.

Now that Ji An had willingly volunteered, he felt quite assured, as Ji An’s past record naturally inspired trust.

Master Yuxiao remarked:

”Having an Alchemist capable of refining Tier Three Pills will gradually alleviate the current dilemma.

However, purchasing Spirit Medicine from other forces is ultimately unreliable; as we cultivate our own, we also need to establish channels for acquiring Spirit Medicine.

We need strongholds both in the Southern Continent and the Northern Land.”

”How do we ensure the safety of these strongholds?”

”Rotational guarding is a good option and can be treated as a task since the Sect hasn’t explicitly defined the duties of Golden Core Cultivators.”

Receiving rewards without contributions isn’t permissible with the Sect’s current situation because there’s no foundation to support doing so.

Lin Jiuxiao nodded lightly, always having a responsibility within the Sect.

Lin Qiubai and his disciples also nodded in agreement. The Sect was in a growth phase with limited resources, and they were pioneers without a ”lying down and winning” mindset.

Master Yuxiao was very satisfied with everyone’s response; high-level members not shirking responsibilities was beneficial for the Sect.

”If we establish strongholds in other continents, the Sect’s refined Magical Artifacts, Puppets, and low-tier Elixirs will have stable sales channels.

In that case, being on someone else’s turf, it’s best to avoid making enemies.”

The Sect’s influence didn’t extend to other continents and wasn’t like a dragon crossing a river, so discreet and harmonious conduct was needed for prosperity.

Daoist Master Zhengyang discreetly scanned the group and said:

”Establishing strongholds in other regions needs a reasonable plan and a well-discussed charter.”

The Sect needs management for growth; now is a critical time for deciding the path. It’s best to clarify everything and define everyone’s responsibilities clearly.

Clearly defined authority and responsibility can reduce internal friction.

Master Yuxiao had thought about contingency plans long ago and began to elaborate:

”We need to establish one stronghold each in the Western Continent and the Far North, so later we can expand outward relying on these bases.

In the initial phase of establishing these strongholds, to deter potential opponents, I suggest dispatching two Golden Core Cultivators to oversee them.

After a few years, when everything is on track, it’ll only require one person to stay on guard.

Regarding the term of guardianship, we need to discuss and determine a reasonable number of years, and also the extra stipend for external missions must be discussed.”

Since external missions involve juggling numerous affairs, appropriate compensation is needed.

After discussion, it was decided that the term for each external mission would be three years, with a portion of the shop’s profit being allocated as a reward.

Daoist Master Zhengyang personally recorded the resolution in a Jade Slip and asked:

”How do we select the personnel for the missions?”

Master Yuxiao pondered for a moment and said:

”The Artifact Refining Hall, Puppet Hall, and Dan Ding Institute must each dispatch disciples, and as the scale expands, staff can be increased accordingly.

As for choosing the cultivators to oversee, the Sect Leader can’t be easily moved, and Ji An needs to cultivate High-tier Spirit Plants for the Sect, so the remaining individuals will be divided into two groups; how does that sound?”

A Sect couldn’t allow the Sect Leader to personally handle operations in other continents, while Ji An shouldered the crucial task of enhancing the Sect’s foundation.

If the Sect currently had ten sustainable Tier Three Spirit Plants, its situation wouldn’t be so dire.

Everyone discussed the general direction and agreed on the plan.

Daoist Master Zhengyang nodded, ”Next, I will communicate with the Diligence Hall and Miscellaneous Affairs Hall; they understand the specifics of operations better.

Once the plan is finalized, we’ll commence implementation, announce recruitment tasks, and select suitable disciples to go out.”

Master Yuxiao remarked, ”There’s no need to make a special trip for site selection. In half a year, when the Sect dispatches a Spirit Ship to sell accumulated goods, we’ll choose suitable locations then.”
