Rising from Small Cloud Rain Technique

Master Yuxiao detailed how to break through, what situations one might encounter during the breakthrough, and how to deal with them.

After confirming the disciple fully understood what to do, he said in a deep voice:

”Although a cultivator comprehends the Five Elements Mutual Birth Divine Intent, their understanding of different elements can vary. The transformation of Five Elements Spiritual Power incurs different losses.

Forming a Golden Core can temporarily enhance our control over the Five Elements Power, reduce transformation losses, continuously supply pure spiritual energy, and purify the impurities in our magical power that even we ourselves cannot detect.

Additionally, the sect will provide you with a three-thousand-year-old portion of Stone Milk free of charge, so you need not worry about spiritual power consumption.

Your only task is to forge ahead and refine the magical power impurities into a Golden Core as swiftly as possible.

Once the Golden Core initially forms, it will emit a dragon and tiger roar. No matter the quality of the Golden Core, do not let it affect your mindset, for the Golden Core Thunder Tribulation will follow soon after.”

”At that moment, you can only rely on your spiritual artifacts and various defense methods. Do not take out Talisman Treasures, Tier Three Talismans, or any external items, as the intensity of the Thunder Tribulation will increase accordingly.

In such a case, the final Chaos Thunder Tribulation becomes impossible to overcome.”

”When the Thunder Tribulation strikes, any living being must stay far away, or the Qi Mechanism will draw them in, subjecting them to the trial as well.

This trial exceeds the cultivation level of living beings, meaning seeking help from other cultivators to become a Golden Core Cultivator is impossible...”

Master Yuxiao spoke at length, finally concluding:

”Once you draw the bow, there’s no turning back. As soon as you start the breakthrough, you must have the determination to overcome any difficulties. Interrupting midway is almost an admission of being forever separated from the Golden Core.”

Ji An was taken aback. Listening to the ancestor’s tone, the Thunder Tribulation seemed like an extremely intelligent Celestial Dao program that gives ’special attention’ to cultivators capable of employing means beyond their realm.

It was reasonable after all; if one could use a high-level account to carry a low-level one through the Golden Core Thunder Tribulation, major sects could remain unrivaled, and the survival environments of small sects and families would have long been squeezed out.

He spoke calmly:

”As cultivators, we are destined to go against the heavens. I, the disciple, do not lack the courage to forge ahead; this is a price that must be borne.”

In a previous life, people lived a hundred years, and Golden Core Cultivators lived a thousand. Immortality is the greatest temptation.

To achieve immortality, one must go through difficult trials, or else if everyone were immortal, wouldn’t the world face destruction?

Master Yuxiao nodded in satisfaction, taking out a Jade Slip and copying it onto a Blank Jade Slip:

”Go back and adjust your state thoroughly. I will retrieve the appropriate resources from the Secret Vault.

Make your breakthrough at Sunrise Peak, where the spiritual energy is more concentrated and beneficial for breakthroughs.

The Jade Slip contains the steps and various precautions for cultivating during the breakthrough. Study it carefully and ensure there are no mistakes.”

Ji An placed the Jade Slip on his forehead and discovered that there were no protective methods inside, and it recorded the cultivation routes very thoroughly.

”Remember to destroy the Jade Slip when you break through.”

Ji An solemnly cupped his hands, ”Understood, disciple takes leave.”

...

Under the eaves, iron bells chimed softly; within the hall, Star Banners fluttered fiercely.

Master Yuxiao walked out of Wuji Hall with a calm expression, hands behind his back, gazing skyward.

A great wind arose, clouds danced; the cotton-like seeds from the trees rode the wind straight into the azure sky.

His heart was far from as calm as he appeared; the sect had never seen such a young Daoist of Perfect Chao Origin Stage.

’Is this a sign of the sect’s impending prosperity?!’

There were several disciples in the sect with the potential to break through to the Golden Core Stage, but he hadn’t expected the seemingly most lagging disciple to surpass the others.

Master Yuxiao unconsciously clenched his fist, riding a cloud to the mountainside, stepping into the Treasure Pavilion.

At this moment, Jia Yu was happily sipping a little wine, shaking his head, immensely relaxed.

Noticing someone entering, he squinted his drowsy eyes and then choked a few times on the wine.

What’s happening? Normally, the ancestor would notify of matters ahead!

He stood up hurriedly, a bit embarrassed, and said: ”Ancestor, why have you come?”

Drinking wasn’t an issue, but getting caught by the ancestor wasn’t a good look.

Master Yuxiao sat on a chair and said: ”Sober up quickly, I have something to tell you.”

Jia Yu blushed, immediately sat cross-legged, activated his cultivation technique, and began to refine the spirit wine in his belly.

Moments later, he opened his eyes and stood up: ”Ancestor, please speak!”

”Withdraw a bottle of three-thousand-year-old Stone Milk from the Secret Vault and label it for use in a disciple’s breakthrough to the Golden Core Stage.”

Jia Yu was shocked, ”Who is breaking through, could it be?”

He already had an answer in mind but still found it hard to believe.

Master Yuxiao could guess his thoughts, ”Currently, only Ji An meets the criteria within the sect. If the senior returns to the sect and learns that a new generation Daoist has been born, imagine how pleased he’ll be.”

The breakthrough of any Great Realm entails risks, yet he inexplicably had much more confidence in the disciple’s breakthrough.

”I’ll handle it right away,” Jia Yu finally translated his myriad thoughts into a long sigh of shared honor.

He gestured the magic seal to open the Mimic Array, entering the Secret Vault to take out an ink-colored Jade Bottle and handing it over.

Master Yuxiao accepted the Jade Bottle, ”Inform everyone that in a few days the Mountain Protection Array will be fully activated, barring all cultivator entries and exits during that time.

Notify the Law Enforcement Hall to clear the area; no one can linger within fifty miles of Sunrise Peak. Inform the Rock Ancestor about the disciple’s breakthrough.”

During the breakthrough, he and the two Mountain Guardian Spirit Beasts must temporarily leave, or they might accidentally attract the Qi Mechanism.
