Rising from Small Cloud Rain Technique

Jia Yu couldn’t help but be shocked; fifty top-grade spirit fruits are not easy to come by.

”How could it be so quick? We’re still a few short, but the third top-grade Earth Spirit Fruit Tree on Red Flame Peak has already borne fruit. We can gather enough in two years or so.

I’ve discussed with Rock Ancestor to see if we can get the reward in advance.”

Ji An explained that it takes three years for the top-grade Earth Spirit Fruit Tree to mature.

The Golden Spot Spider Silk needs to be soaked in the blood of the Earth Dragon Beast, which takes about a year to reach the required standard.

In a year, he could gather enough spirit silk, and with all the materials in place, he could directly ask Senior Brother Zhuu to help refine the Wuji Xinghuang Banner.

”Rock Ancestor is relatively easygoing. Junior Brother, please wait a moment while I go and consult.”

Jia Yu cast a spell, opened the mimic array, and entered the secret vault as the corridor to the storage room opened and then closed.

Of the two Golden Core Stage mountain guardian spirit beasts in the sect, the Li Fire Turtle was notoriously irritable and inflexible, rarely making concessions.

The Earth Dragon Beast was much more amiable and easy to deal with.

Ji An took the pendant off his neck and put it into a storage bag. This curiosity obtained from Mingfeng Mountain Immortal City still allowed the Stone Turtle to draw Kun Spirit from it.

Each year, it provided over thirty points, much less than before. Perhaps at some point, this curiosity would be completely useless.

Moments later, the corridor to the secret vault opened again, revealing the bull-sized Earth Dragon Beast lazily emerging first.

Its steps were light, and the ground felt no tremor at all.

But as it approached, Ji An felt an overwhelming pressure like a towering mountain, something he would not have perceived before, thinking:

’Only after opening the Earth Element Divine Mansion could I sense the true power of this mountain guardian spirit beast.’

The Earth Dragon Beast approached the scales, its golden vertical pupils exuding authority, and its deep voice rumbled:

”Little one, how many top-grade Earth Spirit Fruits have you brought? If the number is too short, there’s no way I’ll give you my blood in advance!”

Jia Yu had already explained the situation to it; if it could enjoy the spirit fruits sooner, it was quite willing.

”Just eight fruits short. I’ll make up the deficit within three years, and besides, I’ll give Rock Ancestor an extra one.”

As Ji An spoke, he took out several yellow jade boxes sealed with a sealing spirit talisman and opened them one by one in front of the Earth Dragon Beast.

The Earth Dragon Beast extended its tongue to curl up a spirit fruit and chewed it carefully, its large head nodding in satisfaction:

”Not bad, this taste truly brings back memories. I agree.”

The Golden Spirit Sect couldn’t provide many Earth Element Spirit Fruits for it, and it mostly slept in the earth veins.

”However, as a cultivator, you should understand that I can’t give you blood directly. Take out the spirit silk that needs to be soaked.

Once the spirit silk is processed, I’ll have Jia Yu inform you.”

In the cultivation realm, there was a sinister curse technique that could be cast through blood or other personal items, and it had witnessed a Golden Core Stage demon beast being cursed to death.

Since then, it had become extremely cautious.

”Of course.”

Ji An took out a dozen bundles of spider silk flickering with faint yellow spirit light, placed them into a specially made white jade box, and continued:

”The blood needs to completely submerge the spirit silk. When these spirit silks develop a glossy jade-like luster, the task will be complete.”

The Earth Dragon Beast lifted its forelimb, curved its sharp claw to pierce the unarmored flesh, and crystal-red blood, like molten mercury, soon flowed, quickly submerging the spirit silk in the box.

The blood had no fishy smell, instead exuding a faint fragrance.

”I’m going back to sleep.”

The Earth Dragon Beast said, turning to leave as a yellow cloud mist supported the jade box in Ji An’s hand, floating above its head.

”Farewell, Rock Ancestor.”

The Earth Dragon Beast entered the secret vault, the corridor closed, and the mimic array reappeared.

With another matter handled, Ji An felt much more relaxed.

”Haha, Junior Brother, you’ll soon have your second top-grade spiritual artifact, let those fellow sect members who insist on crafting custom artifacts be envious!”

Jia Yu laughed, as most of their fellow sect members didn’t even own a single top-grade spiritual artifact.

Ji An grinned, saying:

”It’s a heavy burden too. Just for the Earth-Departing Flame Banner, it costs over a hundred spirit stones daily to buy the fire element essence it devours.

If I add the Wuji Xinghuang Banner, opening my eyes each day will cost at least two hundred spirit stones, and annually, that amounts to eighty to ninety thousand lower-grade spirit stones.”

This lifestyle must be sustained for many years until the spiritual artifact births an artifact spirit, and the timing for that is not fixed.

”Haha, don’t pretend to be poor here; simply the Jade Leaf Mulberry planted on Red Flame Peak can easily cover your consumption.”

Ji An lightly shook his head; the amount of Five Elements Essence devoured by a spiritual artifact is not constant but increases over time.

The others didn’t know the ambition in his heart; someday, when he crafted five top-grade spiritual artifacts, that burden would be the heaviest, consuming around three hundred thousand lower-grade spirit stones a year.

The current spirit stone income from Red Flame Peak couldn’t cover this consumption, and by then, he’d need to exchange small merits for spirit stones.

The two were chatting idly when a commotion came from outside the grand hall, and a group of excited disciples walked in.

They were dressed in the black Daoist robes of the Law Enforcement Hall, with two golden threads embroidered on their cuffs and a flying sword embroidered on their chests.

Leading them was a rough-hewn, fist-sized gray stone, which triggered his full beard, flushed face with excitement as he said:

”Junior Martial Uncle Jia, we saw a meteor land while we were out and obtained this treasure. Quick, evaluate its worth in small merits!”

’What treasure? Let me see,’ Jia Yu smiled. He was pleased that the disciples brought their finds to the Treasure Pavilion at the first opportunity.
