Rising from Small Cloud Rain Technique

Ji An looked outside the door, the sky had already darkened, leaving only the last bit of twilight lingering.

Zhang Cuihua slightly bowed and softly said:

“Junior Martial Uncle, I saw you were deep in thought, so I didn’t disturb you.”

Her tone was full of caution. Joking aside, it’s most taboo to disturb a cultivator at such times.

If by chance Junior Martial Uncle’s thoughts are interrupted and inspiration lost, her “work” might just come to an end.

Ji An responded with a soft “Mm,” his thoughts slowly returning to reality, “Let’s have dinner.”

Zhang Cuihua took the cover off the luminous bead and scurried out the door.

Dinner featured a clear stewed golden bass, fresh and delicious, which Ji An enjoyed greatly.

After drinking a cup of verdant mulberry wine, he stepped out of the stone house, took out a handful of communication golden swords, and began inscribing messages.

He had not publicly announced his breakthrough to the Chao Origin Stage; having been busy enhancing his magic techniques in recent days, he neglected it. Now, he must report the good news to his master and fellow disciples.

As for other friends he often contacts, he’d inform them a few days before the celebration.

Ji An sent off the communication golden swords, and the paths of golden light briefly flickered before disappearing into the vast night.

He stopped a maid who came out of the room after tidying up the dishes and asked:

“The other day I mentioned hosting a banquet, is the menu confirmed?”

“It’s been confirmed, fully in accordance with Junior Martial Uncle’s requirements. It’s the highest level of hospitality from Red Flame Peak.

Though, such a scale will use up a significant portion of the Tier Two Middle-grade Spiritual Fruit in the Secret Vault.”

Zhang Cuihua put down the dishes and took out a sheet of paper:

“This is the prepared menu, please review it, Junior Martial Uncle.

Also, I would need to know approximately how many guests and the date of the banquet, please let me know.”

Ji An took the menu, quickly skimming it under the light from the lobby, nodding slightly.

The few Tier Two Middle-grade Spiritual Objects gathered over the past years were all arranged, elevating the specs to the max.

“The banquet is tentatively set for a month from now, exact timing still undecided.

As for guests, around forty Chao Origin Stage cultivators, each to be given one Tier Two Middle-grade Spiritual Peach.

For the thirty expected Foundation Establishment cultivators, they’ll be served Tier Two Lower Grade Spirit Fruit.

But the number of Foundation Establishment cultivators is uncertain, and some may come uninvited, so prepare for fifty servings.”

Providing each person with a Tier Two Middle-grade Spiritual Fruit seemed grand. First step, establish a reputation.

He planned to hold the celebration after being summoned by the ancestor. After a pause, he smiled and said:

“This is my Chao Origin Stage celebration, you can invite Yu Han and Yu Lian to help since you can’t manage it alone.”

Saying this, he strode toward the orchard, leaving the maid stupefied.

’Has Junior Martial Uncle already broken through to the Chao Origin Stage? Did he go out a few days back just for the breakthrough?’

Zhang Cuihua felt a little overwhelmed, thinking back, Junior Martial Uncle must have known he’d succeed in breaking through when he left, otherwise, he wouldn’t have ordered them to prepare a banquet.

Her breathing quickened immediately, and she shouted:

“Don’t worry, Junior Martial Uncle, the banquet will surely be grand and splendid.”

After speaking, she quickly covered her mouth with her hand.

This, she should have called him Master now!

She picked up the dishes from the ground and ran swiftly to the kitchen, from now she counted as a spirit chef under a Chao Origin Stage cultivator!

Wei Songtao, just out of the kitchen, stepped aside and said:

“Cuihua, slow down, what’s the hurry?”

He bit into a pickled bamboo shoot, crispy and fresh.

“Junior Martial Uncle Ji has broken through to the Chao Origin Stage.”

Zhang Cuihua said this as she slipped into the kitchen sideways.

“Huh?”

Half the bamboo shoot in Wei Songtao’s hand fell to the ground. When did this happen?

…

Moonlight poured down, the Celestial Essence Pear tree adorned in starry blue flares, leaves glowing with inch-long micro-light.

Ji An launched the Azure Dragon Shocking Skill, a Cyan Dragon over three feet long emerged.

The cyan scales the size of a child’s palm were dense and firm, gleaming with a deep, jade-like dark green luster.

The dark golden dragon horns were as thick as an arm, curving and branching, with two whiskers a few feet long swaying in the wind.

The Cyan Dragon elegantly spiraled above the orchard, seemingly real, nothing like a mere illusion.

A majestic dragon’s roar, akin to the onset of spring thunder, echoed; a dense rain-like fall of emerald green light descended from the void like crystalline jade beads.

Within each jade bead, a small Cyan Dragon shadow churned.

Green grass ’grew’ on the ground, blooming in a myriad of colors, the breath of all things budding and sprouting filled the air,

’Jade beads’ landed on the pear tree, disappearing instantly, as if illusory.

The phenomenon lasted less than a moment, as the Cyan Dragon vanished, the lights and shadows faded like ephemeral dreams.

But, those bright blue spots akin to stars on the bark and the half-foot long glow on the leaves confirmed that everything had indeed happened.

Ji An grinned slightly, the “special effects” of the technique were maxed out.

It combined the divine intent manifestation of the Evergreen Wood Skill and the effects of the Jade Wood Transformation Skill, along with the musical aid of the Cyan Dragon.

Next, time would reveal the true effect of this technique.

…

When the dragon roar resounded, Wei Songtao rushed to the orchard, witnessing the Cyan Dragon, that spiraled under the moonlight as if solid.

This technique was one he had never seen before; he had been somewhat skeptical of Zhang Cuihua’s words, but now he was fully convinced.

Tian Tiezhu had hurried over at some point, softly asking:

“Hey, what was that sound just now?”

He had heard something akin to thunder, and also like the roar of some creature, hence he rushed over.

“The sound of a technique.”

Wei Songtao turned his head, his voice somber:

“Junior Martial Uncle Ji has broken through to the Chao Origin Stage, from now on we should address him as Master!”

Tian Tiezhu was slightly stunned: “Huh?”

…

About a quarter hour later, the magic intent of the Wood Element lushly growing gradually waned, and the Celestial Essence Pear tree returned to its original appearance.
