Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 194: Victims

Adam stands behind a tree, watching Lana and her friends being forced out of the cars at gunpoint.

Lana’s hands are tied up, and so are her friends. The two guys of the friend group seem to have been beaten up, with head injuries very visible on their foreheads, and it looks like they didn’t get any help to stop the bleeding.

Their faces are covered with blood. One guy looks very terrified but still trying to put on a struggle, while the other seems to have given up, even finding his friends’ screams of help frustrating, because screaming in such a scenario won’t help. In fact, it would just piss off their kidnappers even more, and they would hurt them again.

The girls are also not being quiet. The blue-haired girl, Miley, is screaming with all her lungs, calling for help. While her friend is ugly crying, scared for her life.

Lana, on the other hand, has a sheer look of anger on her face as she locks eyes with her very recent ex-boyfriend.

”Drake! Let go of me and my friends right now. You don’t know who you are messing with! My mother has deep connections. If she finds out about this, you can kiss your sorry life goodbye,” Lana threatens.

Adam notices that Lana is very composed even under such a situation, finally getting a glimpse of her mother in her.

Lana tries to do everything differently from her mother, talk differently, act differently, look different, but from the inside, the two are the same. A prideful woman with an unbreakable will.

”Shut your mouth!” Drake suddenly slaps Lana, telling her to quiet down, while the other men laugh at his actions.

”You thought you could humiliate me and get away with it? I am going to make sure to take my time with you. I will make sure this night will be one that you will regret for the rest of your life!” Drake says, gritting his teeth in anger.

Lana also feels very angry after being slapped, but the reality of the situation slowly starts seeping in.

She and her friends have been brought deep inside a forest where no one can hear their cry for help. Drake and the men he brought along are clearly planning to do heinous things to them, and no matter how much Lana threatens them, she knows she is not going to escape this night.

Tears start pooling in her eyes while her hands and legs shiver. She wants to continue putting on a brave front, but in such a hopeless situation, her act of defiance might just make the matter worse.

”Hahaha, Drake boy, I must say, you really have some good taste. How about this, after you are done with this pink firecracker, how about handing her over to our boss? He has a thing for feisty young ones,” One of the men who has a gun in his hand says, laughing.

As Drake hears the man speak, his eyes widen. He locks eyes with the man, stunned. ”Tha..that was not part of the deal...” Drake says.

”Huh? Who the fuck do you think you are? Do you think you are our boss?” The man suddenly raises his voice, getting aggressive with Drake. Drake immediately backs up, cowering in fear.

”Bu..but... sh.. she’s- Her mother is a very powerful advocate...” Drake says.

”Are you fucked in the head? You fucking idiot? You asked us to kidnap the girl so that you could have your way with her, and now you are worried about her mother. Listen to me, boy. You will fuck her, and once you are done. We are taking her and her friends back with us.

The guys have so use, but I am sure their organs will sell for a good amount. After all, they are young and healthy,” The man says, grinning with ecstasy while eying the girls with lustful eyes.

Lana and her friends also hear him, and now they are truly terrified. They thought Drake brought them here to just have his way with them, but now they are learning that they are about to be victims of human and organ trafficking as well.

They immediately start shouting, begging the men who have them at gunpoint to let them go. Even Lana’s brave front cracks, and she drops to her knees, crying. Her guy friend, who has kept his mouth shut all this time, also starts begging for his life, groveling before the gunmen’s feet.

Seeing such a display, the gunmen start laughing hysterically, deriving joy from watching these young kids lose their shit as soon as they realize what is going to happen to them.

Living in the city, they have already heard about victims who just disappeared, later to be found dead or caught up in a human trafficking case. They would have never expected such a thing to happen to them, but now here they are. Their fates at the hands of very bad men.

Even Drake is overwhelmed. He approached the men because he had made some connections with them through one of his friends, whose uncle is part of the gang.

He thought he could rope them in by providing them with Lana’s two friends to use. Since he hated them, he didn’t care what these gang members did to them.

But never did he expect that these men would go rogue and take over like this.

Drake realized he fucked up real bad; he knows he cannot get out of this. Overcome by anger, he did something really stupid that he cannot erase.

He knows that his life now belongs to the gang because he is associated with them through this crime. If they go down, so does he by association.

Sure, his intentions were one of the worst things he could think of, but the gang members he brought together with him are escalating it even further.

’FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! WHAT THE FUCK WAS I THINKING? I am so fucking going to die, aren’t I?’ Drake thinks as his face becomes extremely pale.

”What’s with that look, boy? Don’t tell me you are having second thoughts right now?” The gunman asks, placing his hand on Drake’s shoulder and leaning in closer, staring into Drake’s eyes with ruthless intentions.

Drake, being a young guy with no life experience, immediately folds. He shakes his head left and right aggressively. ”No! I am not! I will do as you say!” Drake says.

”Hahahaha, good. Boys, let’s get them in and have ourselves a party! Grab some beer from the back,” The gunman, who clearly seems to be the shot caller, says, earning cheers from the rest.

They grab Lana and her friends and a few beer cartons from the back of their cars and drag them into the cabin. Lana and her friends struggle, but it’s of no use. Drake, on the other hand, keeps his head down as the shot caller has his hand around his shoulders as they walk in.

”You two, keep an eye out!” The shot caller points to the rookies of the gang and orders them to keep watch.

Though not happy as they don’t get to taste the young, beautiful girls, they do as they are told to. This is a legit gang. Not some schoolboy club where they can do as they please.

So they stand outside while the rest head in.

Adam, who has been keeping an eye on everything that’s happening, doesn’t like how this thing has escalated. He clearly heard everything with his enhanced ears.

One of his options is to call the police, but by the time the police get here. Things would have already exceeded beyond repair.

Adam might be a guy who some twisted morals, but he is not a scum like these men. If the laws for murder were not so strict. Adam wouldn’t hesitate to kill them all.

He knows he needs to restrain himself. He can hurt them but can’t kill them, and given the circumstances. He is going to make sure he hurts them very badly.

Adam made a promise to Clara that he would look after her daughter, and he is going to keep that promise.

First, Adam takes out his phone and calls the police, and informs them about the kidnapping. Even though he doesn’t believe they are going to be here on time, it’s still better to call them for legal reasons.

Adam puts his phone away and then crouches down and grabs two stones. A forest is a perfect place for someone like him, as there is ammo everywhere.

With his powerful hands, anything can be lethal, especially stones.

He locks his gaze on the two men standing outside. They are talking to each other, expressing their frustration about how they can’t be part of the fun that’s about to happen inside.

Little do they know that their bad luck is about to get much worse.

Adam’s locked in. All the muscles in his body tense up. He stands up. His eyes were fixed on the back of one of the gunmen. He winds his hand back while holding on to the stone between his thumb, index, and middle fingers.

He lifts his left leg up, and he drives his right leg into the ground. His hand is wound all the way up.

And then.

His left foot stomps down, his right foot generates a shit ton of energy which travels up his hips as he rotates, his wound-up right hand bends and cracks like a whip as it is extended all the way to the front as he releases the stone that’s between his fingers.
