Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Vol 2 Chapter 47. Don’t Be Mistaken (3)

First, ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍they moved locations.

The sight of the son of the Namgung Clan, which could be called the best of the Five Great Clans, crying and imploring his father was not good to see even as empty words.

Patrick and the leaders of each sect moved to the inner room of Shaolin.

After telling others to wait outside, Patrick faced the leaders and briefly explained the situation.

”I caught a runaway kid. And fixed his mindset while I was at it.”

Too brief.

The Namgung Clan Head, Namgung Un, pressed his brow with his hand to calm the surging emotions.

And spoke calmly again.

”Could you explain in a bit more detail?”

”It’s annoying...”

”......”

”Well, can’t be helped. So, you see...”

Patrick explained the situation in detail from the beginning.

From meeting the runaway Namgung Min on the way to the friction with the Black Scorpion Stronghold.

And in that process, he conveyed the fact that Namgung Min asked for teachings himself and he inevitably taught him a move or two, mixing in appropriate fabrication.

”This is really...”

Namgung Un was dumbfounded.

What his youngest son experienced could be a miraculous encounter if one calls it so. Because...

’He is a master. Definitely not below me.’

The man in front of him subdued the Clan Head of the Hebei Peng Clan before he could even draw his blade.

Just looking at that, one could know what kind of master he was.

Receiving teachings from such a master is clearly a miraculous encounter hard to obtain in the Jianghu. However...

”How on earth did you teach him. The kid...”

”What about the kid?”

”Isn’t his appearance terrible?”

”Really?”

Patrick thought deeply and said.

”Ey, no way? Limbs are all attached and eyes, nose, and mouth are all fine. Your words are too harsh.”

”No, that...”

”From the start!”

Patrick slammed the floor hard and said.

”Does the Namgung Clan train gently and softly? So that not even a single piece of clothing wears out, not a single scratch occurs, treating them like flowers in a greenhouse?”

”No, it is not so. But...”

”But what?”

”......”

”What?”

There is nothing to say.

Actually, to speak the truth, where would they train gently and softly?

Namgung is also a place famous for strict training.

Is there any way the Clan Head of the Great Namgung Clan wouldn’t know that?

Eventually, Namgung Un sighed deeply and said.

”My lacking son caused trouble.”

”That’s right. He caused a huge nuisance.”

Is there no concept of modesty in the Outer Regions?

Namgung Un just sighed. Living as the Clan Head of the Namgung Clan, he had met all sorts of human types, but he swore this was the first time meeting such a human.

At that time, unable to watch this scene any longer, one person stepped forward.

”Too rude and frivolous.”

”Huh?”

Although it is true, the thug, no, Patrick, who had that fact pointed out, frowned.

In Patrick’s eyes, a Daoist wearing a uniform with cloud patterns on a white background was visible.

The Daoist, who looked stiff-necked just by looking, said.

”I do not know where you came from, but if you came to the Central Plains, shouldn’t you observe the laws of the Central Plains?”

”Laws of the Central Plains...”

”That is correct. Even with the leaders of the Nine Sects and Five Great Clans leading the Orthodox Murim before your eyes, do you not think your words and actions are too frivolous?”

Hahaha... So right now...

You are going to act like a fuddy-duddy to me?

To this me?

Patrick raised the corner of his mouth crookedly and said.

”First, according to those laws of the Central Plains... Let me ask one thing.”

”What...”

”Who are you?”

At this one phrase from Patrick, the opponent’s face turned red.

”This...”

”No, seeing your clothes, you belong to the Zhongnan Sect, and judging by the atmosphere, you seem to be the Sect Leader...”

”......”

”According to those laws of the Central Plains, isn’t it etiquette to introduce oneself first before talking to each other?”

”......”

Instantly, the opponent bit his lower lip tightly.

”Ah, is it perhaps that? Something like ’Since I am the Zhongnan Sect Leader, people will know even if I don’t introduce myself’?”

”......”

”What do they call that in the Central Plains? Arrogance? Conceit? Rudeness?”

Wow, that must hurt to the bone.

When would he, the Zhongnan Sect Leader called by the alias Zhongnan First Gentleman, have ever received such treatment? Even more so...

”Oh my, since I am an uneducated person from the Outer Regions, I don’t know the laws of the Central Plains well. Can’t someone teach me? Yes. You there wearing the Wudang Sect clothes.”

”M... Me?”

Sparks began to fly elsewhere.

Patrick pointed at himself with his finger and spoke to Hyeon-seong of the Wudang Sect, who had a face saying ’Me?’.

”Yes. Instead of just nodding your head back there with an expression saying ’Certainly, this was not etiquette. The Zhongnan Sect Leader made a mistake.’, please teach me directly with words.”

”N... No. I did no such thing.”

Taoist Hyeon-seong shook his head hurriedly.

The Sect Leader of the Great Wudang Sect.

It is rare for him, called the Supreme Ultimate Sword Emperor and receiving the respect and envy of the Jianghu in one body, to be flustered like this.

Whether or not...

”Tsk tsk tsk, unable to speak even if you want to, just reading the room like that.”

Hyeon-seong’s jaw drops.

Whether or not.

”Oh my, the spirit of the Wudang Sect has declined. It has declined.”

”No, what does that...”

Patrick practically started wailing looking at the sky.

”Taoist Zhang Sanfeng, are you watching? If you are, do something. Here the spirit of the Great Wudang Sect is...”

’It hasn’t declined!’

They had to know.

A rare nuisance with no solution if turned into an enemy.

A Great Demon of Hell that must absolutely not be associated with if one wants to maintain peace of mind.

That was the definition their ancestors made regarding Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon 200 years ago.

While the others, facing a rare nuisance they saw for the first time in their lives, were just opening and closing their mouths.

”Hahaha...”

There was someone who stepped forward quietly with a hollow laugh...

”Who are you.”

”Nice to meet you. This person is called Myeong-hyeon, holding the position of Abbot of Shaolin. Although lacking, the Jianghu calls this monk by the undeserved alias of Divine Monk.”

”Ho-oh, really. The Shaolin Abbot knows etiquette at least. Unlike someone.”

”Eeek...”

The face of the Zhongnan Sect Leader turned red like a ripe jujube.

”Wow, someone might think you are Guan Yu.”

Is that guy really from the Outer Regions?

Is it certain he doesn’t know the Central Plains well?

Just as the Zhongnan Sect Leader was about to explode.

Patrick corrected his posture, clasped his hands, bowed politely, and said.

”I am Patrick Sky Schneider, the master of the Twin Dragon Sect.”

Uh? What is this?

Just a moment ago, there was definitely a hopeless Unorthodox thug certain to be beyond rehabilitation...

But where did he go, and now a polite Orthodox person is in front of their eyes.

Patrick, who bowed with perfect etiquette with no place to fault, continued speaking towards others as is.

”Coming from the distant Outer Regions, I may still be lacking in many aspects, but I ask for much understanding from the fellow Daoists of the Jianghu.”

Who are you?

It was a spectacle that naturally evoked such a thought.

Among them, only the Divine Monk maintained his sanity and said.

”You say you came from the distant Outer Regions... Could you tell us your place of origin in detail?”

”It is called the Schneider Duchy.”

”Schneider Duchy... Schneider Duchy...”

The Divine Monk rolled his prayer beads and thought in his head.

Being in the position of Shaolin Abbot, he had to deal with all sorts of people, and among them were merchants traveling to the distant Western Regions. However...

”I apologize, but due to my lack of knowledge, it is a country I have never heard of. Is it perhaps a country in the land called the Great Qin (Roman Empire) in the past?”

”It is further than that.”

”Mmm... You have come a truly long way.”

The Divine Monk stroked his beard and organized his thoughts for a moment. And continued speaking...

”For what reason did you come to the Central Plains from such a distant place?”

”I inherited the martial arts of the Twin Dragon Sect in the past. It is martial arts from roughly 200 years ago.”

”200 years?”

At that time, there was someone who reacted sensitively to Patrick’s words. Glancing sideways...

’It’s the Jaegal Clan.’

Scholar attire and pretty appearance.

Even the fan held in his hand...

Anyone could see it was the Jaegal Clan.

’Well, let’s see later.’

Patrick spoke nonchalantly towards the Divine Monk in front of him.

”Listening to rumors from afar, I heard that the sect’s position was in danger.”

”......”

”So I came to help the sect.”

At Patrick’s words, surprise appeared on the Divine Monk’s expression.

”Then do you mean you came all the way to this Central Plains from the distant Outer Regions to help the sect?”

”Something like that.”

Then the Divine Monk stroked his beard with an admiring expression. And the gaze of other Sect Leaders and Clan Heads looking at Patrick also changed.

’To think he came chasing a connection from a whopping 200 years ago?’

’And from a foreign land ten thousand li away that we don’t even know where...’

’Haha, even the secular disciples of our Mount Hua are often uncooperative with the main sect’s words after a few generations pass...’

Loyalty, Righteousness.

Virtues that people of the Central Plains consider most important.

Saying it is easy, but practicing it with actions is absolutely not easy.

But the person in front of their eyes traveled ten thousand li to repay the grace of the sect received a whopping 200 years ago.

How could they not admire this?

Even the Zhongnan Sect Leader, who was sharpening his edge against Patrick, was looking at Patrick in a new light.

”Ahem... Then you are...”

”Ah, before that.”

Patrick cut off the Divine Monk’s words.

And he gently folded etiquette, pushed it aside, returned to thug mode, and said.

”I also have something to ask.”

”...Speak.”

”I saw while coming, why on earth are bandit bastards settled properly and doing business in this land of Henan?”

”Ah...”

”Wasn’t Henan the territory of Shaolin? But bandit riffraff are doing business here?”

”That is... That...”

”In Henan? Bandits?”

”......”

The Divine Monk closed his eyes tightly.

As if he couldn’t bear to reply.

Certainly, if it were the past, it would have been impossible for bandits to do business within Shaolin’s territory.

If a stronghold was made, within three days, warrior monks with bulging muscles would have visited and smashed those unique suicide aspirants.

But that is an old story.

The Divine Monk sighed and said.

”Since the appearance of the Heaven Breaking Martial Emperor, the power of our Orthodox Faction has greatly weakened.”

”So? Are you saying the Great Shaolin left the bandits settled in the front yard alone?”

”......”

”You avoided them because you were scared, not caring that civilians were suffering from bandits?”

”...Amitabha.”

The Divine Monk closed his eyes with a sorrowful expression and only chanted. He couldn’t bear the gaze of Patrick glaring at him.

Patrick turned his gaze to the side.

”Saying the Great Shaolin is in this shape...”

What Patrick’s gaze reached were the leaders of other Nine Sects and the heads of the Five Great Clans.

”Is it the same for you guys? Are you just condoning it even though the Unorthodox are settled within your territory?”

”......”

”......”

There was no one answering.

But in the current situation, there would be no one who doesn’t know what this uncomfortable silence means.

”This is absurd.”

The one who retorted in anger at Patrick’s remark was Peng Jin-ho, the Clan Head of the Hebei Peng Clan.

”Then are you saying you are different? Is there not even a shadow of the Unorthodox to be found in the territory of the Twin Dragon Sect where you are?”

”Isn’t that obvious?”

”With mouth...”

”It is not a lie.”

It was not Patrick but Jeong Seon, the Sect Leader of the Kongtong Sect, who answered the retorting Peng Jin-ho.

He made a bitter face and said.

”Originally, our Kongtong Sect also couldn’t completely exclude the Unorthodox within our territory. But the situation changed as the Twin Dragon Sect settled down.”

Jeong Seon spoke in front of others.

”In the process of settling down, Master Patrick defeated the villains called the Twin Dragon Gang in Tianshui County, and afterwards defeated the Blood Saber Sect led by Blood Wave Saber Guest Ma Jae-ho, a disciple of the Heaven Breaking Martial Emperor.”

Defeating the Unorthodox led by a disciple of the Heaven Breaking Martial Emperor was a firm achievement.

”And even after settling down, he went around the vicinity of Gansu Province thoroughly and defeated the settled Unorthodox factions.”

That was done as the Directive Window ordered to earn Causality points.

But even if not for that, Patrick was not a person who would let Unorthodox riffraff settle in the territory of the Twin Dragon Sect.

As a result...

”Currently in Gansu Province, they call him the Evil-Breaking Swordsman and call him the natural enemy of the Unorthodox.”

At Jeong Seon’s introduction, Peng Jin-ho, who brought it up, bit his lips tightly and fell silent.

He also had more than one or two times when he wanted to cut down all the Unorthodox bastards settled in Hebei.

But he condoned it because he didn’t know if the family would suffer damage when a full-scale war with the Unorthodox broke out due to that. However...

”Why are you making a fuss as if you did something great?”

Patrick said nonchalantly.

”From the start, the reason we carry swords even though we are not officials or anything is because there is an unwritten rule to not ignore injustice and protect the weak.”

”......”

”Don’t Be mistaken.”

”......”

”I am not doing something great.”

”......”

”You guys are just not doing what you should obviously do.”

The faces of the Sect Leaders distorted abruptly.
