Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 73. It’ll Be Good for Your Well-Being to Keep That in Mind (2)

Their feet felt as if they were glued to the ground, they couldn’t move a muscle, and it was hard to even breathe properly. To them, Patrick approached and said.

“If you start a fight, you have to see it through. People who start a fight and then say ‘let’s stop’ are the thirty-second thing I hate.”

“Ah…. No, that’s not it…”

“That’s right. You bastards!”

Patrick, transformed into an incarnation of merciless violence, descended upon the 1st-grade students.

And in the midst of extreme pain, they thought.

Why does this bastard have so many things he hates?

It was a scene reminiscent of a battlefield.

“Ugh…. uuu…”

“My arm…. my aaaaarm…”

“Uwaaaaaah…”

No. No one had died, so ‘battlefield’ isn’t quite appropriate.

Right. This is a scene reminiscent of a field hospital after an intense battle.

No one had died, but no one was unscathed either.

All of the dozen or so 1st-grade students of the Knight Faculty had several broken and shattered bones, and their faces were swollen.

If someone were to draw this moment and leave it behind, the appropriate title would be ‘Tragedy.’

From the fist of Patrick, who had created this tragic scene, blood dripped and fell.

It was all someone else’s blood.

In that state, Patrick looked around and said.

“Did I beat everyone up evenly? Anyone who didn’t get hit, raise your hand.”

“……”

“Guess not.”

‘That crazy bastard…’

‘He’s not even human.’

‘He’s a demon. He must be a descendant of the demon race.’

What was more painful than the agony of their broken and mangled bodies was the sight of Patrick, who had put them in this state, still looking around as if he was disappointed.

‘If he catches me, I’m dead.’

‘I can’t even flinch.’

‘If I get hit again, I’ll die.’

They did their best not to move a muscle, as if they were already corpses.

But there was one person for whom such efforts were futile….

“You, come here. You need to be beaten more.”

It was the main culprit of this incident, Roist.

Patrick grabbed the armor part of the fallen Roist and lifted him up with one hand.

Ududeuk.

Roist, who was lifted up as the metal of his neck guard crumpled, was terrified.

“Heek…. Wai…. wait.”

“Wait? There’s no ‘wait’ in a beating.”

“If… if I get hit more, I’ll die…”

“You won’t die. You bastard. You won’t die.”

And Patrick’s fist mercilessly struck Roist’s face.

“Do I.”

Jjeoeok(tearing sound)!

“Look like.”

Jjeok!

“I’ve only beaten up one or two people?”

Jjeoeok!

“I’m the one who has researched and researched how to inflict maximum pain within the limits of not killing someone. You son of a biiiitch!”

Jjeokjjeokjjeokjjeokjjeok.

Is that something a human would do?

The fallen ones trembled, and Roist’s face became a bloody mess.

If people who knew a thing or two saw this scene, it would have been quite a surprising sight.

His nose was crushed, and his eyes and lips were swollen, but he was hitting him with such exquisite control that no shock was transmitted to the brain.

It was a violence that made it clear that this was purely for ‘pain.’

He wouldn’t die like this.

Forget dying, he wouldn’t even lose consciousness.

His life was not in danger, but he had to vividly feel the sensation of his face, where nerves were concentrated, being slowly and steadily crushed and broken.

“Sto…. stop…. Uh…. ugh…”

Roist was now crying and begging.

This wasn’t it. He had just been trying to teach the country bumpkin from the East a lesson.

If he had known he was such a monster, he wouldn’t have touched him.

Above all, wasn’t this just a fight between students? But was it necessary to go this far?

Seeing Roist shedding tears of injustice, Patrick said coldly.

“It seems you thought this was just a kind of power struggle that can happen between students.”

“Ugh…. uuu…”

It was Roist, unconsciously nodding his head.

And Patrick said.

“That’s your perspective, and you shouldn’t force your perspective on others, right? Isn’t that so?”

“My fath…. my father…”

“Ah, your father? You said he was Marquis Panola?”

“Th…. that’s right.”

“Want me to tell you something good? The sixth thing I hate are bastards like you who act up relying on their background.”

“Ugh…”

“And from the single digits, it’s not a joke. You bastard!”

And Patrick instantly shattered both of Roist’s shoulders.

Udududuk!

“Keuaaaaaaaak!”

He had shattered both shoulders, which were as good as a swordsman’s life.

At that moment, Roist screamed, feeling a despair even more extreme than the pain.

After the shoulders came the elbows, and then the wrists and fingers….

Bbudeuk, udeudeuk!

“Uwaaaaaaaah! Aaaak!”

Amidst the desperate screams, Patrick completely took away both arms, which were important to a swordsman.

If left like this, forget a sword, it would be difficult to even hold utensils properly.

“Ugh…. uuu…”

Looking at his own mangled and dangling arms, Roist shed tears of despair and pain. And Patrick said to such a Roist.

“Keep this in mind. Brat. What it means to pick a fight with me.”

“Ugh…. uuuuuwaaaaaaah!”

At this moment, Roist felt a fear more extreme than at any other moment in his life.

He had messed with the wrong person.

Family? Power?

None of that mattered.

The guy in front of him now was a person who should never be touched, separate from the logic of such a world.

‘Should I destroy his dantian now?’

Just as Patrick was about to see it to the end….

“Stop!”

A group of professors was rushing over from one side of the training ground.

“Tsk, did I drag it on for too long?”

A professor, not Professor Leyte whom Patrick knew, but another person, ran up to the disappointed Patrick and said.

“What…. what in the world is going on here?”

He couldn’t believe the sight before his eyes.

The students of the Knight Faculty were all lying on the ground, and not a single one was unscathed.

And in Roist’s case, he was a complete mess, crawling on the ground like a bug and groaning in pain.

The person who had created this tragedy was….

“Who are you?”

“Patrick Schneider.”

“…Huh?”

“I just transferred in yesterday.”

“You…. You did?”

He had heard that one more person had entered as a mid-term transfer. But he hadn’t known that the person who had entered was the one who had caused such a major incident.

“You…. You are…?”

“What is it?”

“…Come with me for now. I need to hear the details of the situation.”

“As you wish.”

Patrick obediently followed the professor.

Patrick Schneider, 1st grade of the Knight Faculty.

Detention.

It wasn’t a formal punishment.

It was just a temporary punishment imposed before a formal one was decided, and he was not allowed to take a single step out of his room.

And the professors of the Knight Faculty immediately held a meeting to decide on Patrick’s disciplinary action.

“Expulsion. It’s expulsion!”

“A mid-term transfer causing such an incident on his first day? This is unprecedented.”

“If we let this go, we won’t be able to maintain discipline at the Academy.”

The professors strongly insisted on Patrick’s expulsion.

But there was one person who was looking at those professors coldly….

“What a load of crap.”

It was Professor Justin Leyte.

At his single remark, all the other professors flinched.

In fact, even though they were all professors of the same Knight Faculty, Professor Leyte was a person whose presence was different from the others.

He was a knight who had reached the 6-star realm, one of only five in the kingdom, and was a great figure who was recognized even in other kingdoms as the Indomitable Knight, Justin Leyte.

The weight of such a Professor Leyte’s words could not be the same as the others’.

He looked at the professors who were insisting on Patrick’s expulsion and said.

“Did you all get money from Marquis Panola? To be spouting such nonsense even when you clearly know the full story.”

“Professor Leyte. What do you mean by that?”

“That’s going too far.”

“We, as professors of the Academy…”

Crash!

Professor Leyte slammed his fist on the desk and said.

“Fifteen people tried to attack one person. And with a personal grudge at that.”

“No, that’s…”

“They call themselves aspiring knights and commit such acts? If it were up to me right now, I’d want to smash all of their aura holes.”

“……”

“……”

“But what? Expulsion? You want to expel the one who defended himself against a group? Are you all out of your minds?”

At Leyte’s questioning, all the other professors fell silent.

In fact, they all roughly knew the full story.

It was a situation that they couldn’t not know, unless the professors were exceptionally clueless morons.

Patrick was alone, and his opponents were a group of more than ten.

In particular, Roist was heavily armed with full body armor and a real sword.

Patrick was bare-handed.

In principle, this was an incident where all the conditions for clear self-defense were met.

However, as they were also living as knights in the kingdom, they could not ignore the reputation of Marquis Panola, the captain of the Royal Knights.

However, not all professors were like that.

“I won’t even discuss the virtues of a knight. Before that, if you have a conscience as a human being, can you say such things when you clearly know the full story?”

Justin Leyte.

The Indomitable Knight.

A 6-star knight, one of only five in the kingdom, he was a man who had no reason to be subservient to Marquis Panola.

Moreover, their personal relationship was also bad.

It was a public secret that Professor Leyte had left the Royal Knights due to a conflict with Marquis Panola.

So, for Professor Leyte, there was no reason to be mindful of the name Marquis Panola.

Furthermore, although he hadn’t revealed it to the world yet, Professor Leyte had now reached the 7-star realm.

Although he hadn’t announced it publicly, the moment he did, even Marquis Panola would not dare to touch him.

Professor Leyte looked around coldly and said.

“As the head professor of the Knight Faculty, I oppose the expulsion of Patrick Schneider. If you really want to expel him, then go ahead and try after a thorough investigation to uncover the full story of the incident.”

“Uhm…. Professor Leyte, please calm down.”

“We are not trying to cause a big scene either.”

As Professor Leyte came out so strongly, the others were also reluctant to let the matter escalate.

In fact, if they investigated the full story, what Roist had done would also be revealed, and that would definitely not be beneficial.

If rumors spread that the third son of the captain of the Royal Knights had committed misconduct within the Academy, the responsibility would surely fall on them as well.

In the end, the result of the meeting was….
