Prodigiously Amazing Weaponsmith

Chapter 4450 Cooperate from the inside and outside (4)

Huang Yueli raised her brows and indicated for Xuan Chaoyi to continue.

Xuan Chaoyi seemed to have recalled something, and his expression was a little twisted.

”In the past, although the demons sent a large number of troops, they werenʼt very strong. Their goal wasnʼt to conquer You ʼan City, but to snatch our food and resources. Therefore, they would usually run away after stealing a wave and would not even take the initiative to fight with the alliance army. Therefore, our defense is usually just a formality.”

”However, this year, our army went to expel the demons as usual, but they were unexpectedly attacked by the demons! The first batch of troops that went to fight were completely wiped out. Not a single one survived!”

”What? How did this happen?” Huang Yueli was shocked.

” We didnʼt know the reason at first,” Xuan Chaoyi said.” We only thought that we underestimated our enemy and caused the tragedy.” ”Therefore, the second batch of troops chosen to fight is one of the most elite troops in Youan City. Before they set off, the City Lord carefully explained the strategy and told them to end the battle as quickly as possible, but in the end…”

At this point, Xuan Chaoyi suddenly stopped and took a deep breath.” In the end, the second batch of troops was still annihilated! The leader of the Divine Guard is my good friend. Weʼve been stationed in You ʼan City together for three years.”

” Before he left, he was full of confidence, thinking that he had obtained the best opportunity to make contributions. He even thought that he would have enough military merits after this mission to exchange for a new set of superior-grade spiritual weapons. Who knew that the result would be like this…”

Huang Yueliʼs brows creased slightly as she was extremely astonished in her heart.

She had stayed in the allied army camp before, so she had some understanding of the strength of the allied army.

Although their individual combat strength was not as good as the demons, the weapons and armor used by the allied forces were several levels higher than those of the demons. They were also very good at using various formations to cooperate in battle. Overall, they were stronger than the demons.

How could they be completely wiped out despite careful preparations?

Moreover, the location of the battle was near You ʼan City, in the territory controlled by the God Race!

”In that case, the demons must have some means that we donʼt know about.” Huang Yueli pondered for a moment and guessed,” Either there are too many top notch experts from the devil race, or…” What powerful divine artifact did they obtain that can be used for group attacks…”

This time, it was Xuan Chaoyi and the other soldiers who were shocked.

Each and every one of them stared at Huang Yueli as their faces were filled with surprise.

” Patriarch Huang, youʼre really amazing. You can even guess this!”

Huang Yueli raised her brows,” What? It wasnʼt hard to guess. The leader of the demons, Pill Light Regionʼs Lord Rui Jiang, is a late-stage Skyfiend expert. Demons at this level rarely fight personally, so itʼs normal that you canʼt resist. However…Why didnʼt the alliance army send anyone to help you?”

Hearing this, Xuan Chaoyi frowned again with a worried expression and sighed deeply.

”Of course the alliance headquarters sent someone over. Our Black Tortoise Clanʼs Elder, Xuan Jiuling, is not stationed in You ʼan City. This time, because Rui Jiang personally led the army to attack the city, the situation in the city was critical, so the headquarters sent him over.”

So, what happened after Divine General Xuan arrived at You ʼan City?” Huang Yueli asked thoughtfully.

”Nothing special happened. Itʼs just that…” Xuan Chaoyi smiled bitterly. Divine General Xuan had personally selected his men to fight against the army of Auspicious River, but in the end…Another crushing defeat!”
