Grandmaster Xiao was a little muddled, so he asked, “Then… Young Madam Li, are you really here to take part in the competition?”

Huang Yueli nodded and smiled, “Grandmaster Xiao, why would you even ask this? When I came in earlier, I already stated that I rushed over to take part in the competition. Or am I right to say that I came late so the competition had already officially started? That’s why I didn’t make it in time?”

Grandmaster Xiao hurriedly answered, “That’s not true. But…”

!!
He looked at the other competitors on the competition grounds and an awkward expression spread across his face. “But according to the competition rules, each force can only send two Spiritual Armament Masters to take part in the competition. If you wish to enter, then Cloudy Qilin Clan would have three competitors! This isn’t very fair! Unless… one of the Spiritual Armament Masters from Cloudy Qilin Clan is willing to back out!”

Huang Yueli frowned upon hearing that.

This rule was set by her! Moreover, she had totally forgotten about this just now!

She thought, “Great! Now I’ve done myself in!”

However, Huang Yueli quickly thought of a reason. “Grandmaster Xiao…”

She was just about to speak when someone suddenly interrupted her.

“Grandmaster Xiao, since Young Miss Li wants to take part in the competition, then we’ll give her a quota!” Li Leyun suddenly butted in, speaking at the top of her voice.

At the same time, she glanced at the other mid rank Spiritual Armament Master from Cloudy Qilin Clan.

That Spiritual Armament Master went into a slight blank, then instantly raised his hand and said, “I give up!”

Actually, before he came, he already knew that Cloudy Qilin Clan had already pinned all their hopes on Li Leyun. They weren’t expecting him to win, and he also believed that he wasn’t as talented as Li Leyun. Hence, he didn’t hesitate and agreed to back out of the competition.

Huang Yueli didn’t expect Li Leyun to help her, so she turned around and looked at the latter in astonishment.

Li Leyun raised her chin as she remained expressionless. But her eyes revealed a provocative expression.

Huang Yueli’s heart jolted and suddenly recalled the scene where Li Leyun came looking for her at Li Moying’s residence. She had once mentioned that she wanted to have a battle against her in today’s competition. Moreover, she even mentioned that Li Moying would belong to the person who won the competition.

Back then, Huang Yueli rejected her outright. Even if she was taking part in today’s competition, she had no intention to use Li Moying as a stake.

But looking at Li Leyun’s expression, it seemed that she had not forgotten about that day’s incident.

The glow in Huang Yueli’s eyes flickered slightly but since Li Leyun didn’t say it out, she would just pretend that she didn’t know anything.

“Grandmaster Xiao, may I take part in the competition now?” She looked at Grandmaster Xiao again.

Things had already come to this point so Grandmaster Xiao naturally couldn’t say anything to object.

“Of course, you can. Young Madam Li, please stand on this side!”

Under everyone’s attentive gaze, Huang Yueli slowly walked over.

She stopped when she reached the east of the competition grounds. Then she mingled with the crowd and waited for Grandmaster Xiao to speak.

Grandmaster Xiao noticed that everyone had already quietened down so he hurriedly continued, “Earlier This Grandmaster had not completed my words, so everyone please listen carefully. This competition will be different from ordinary competitions. In order for everyone to display your highest standard, This Grandmaster has specially arranged an armament refining room for each one of you. So all of you can close the door and refine on your own so that you would not be disturbed by outsiders.”

Grandmaster Xiao was worried that some other problems would crop up, so he quickly explained all the rules in one go.
