A night without dreams.

The next day, Huang Yueli woke up very early to wash up and prepare to set off.

Of course, when she came to the courtyard, she only saw Huang Sanbai alone…

Beside Huang Sanbai was a huge flying magical beast.

That magical beast had a smooth body shape and if they took a rough look, it was simply no different from a phoenix. But its feathers were all azure in color, from light to dark. Under the reflection of the sun, the glint it reflected was like a lush jade glow and it attracted one’s attention very much.

Moreover, its body shape was much smaller than a mature phoenix. The shape of its wings and tail feathers were different as well.

Huang Sanbai showed a passionate smile when he saw Huang Yueli. “Lass Li, you’re finally here! Let’s set off right now!”

Huang Yueli looked around and asked in surprise, “Elder Sanbai, why didn’t I see the other people?”

Huang Sanbai smiled and said, “I came here by the clan’s flying ship earlier. Although the speed of the flying ship is very fast, it cannot be compared with this spirit beast, Azure Luan1! Alas, the Azure Luan is fast, but it can only carry two to three people at one time. In order to save time, both of us will fly back on this Azure Luan first. Lass Li and the others will take the flying ship and fly back slowly!”

“Azure Luan?” Huang Yueli’s eyes widened and looked curiously at this spirit beast beside Huang Sanbai. “When I was in Soaring Heavens Continent, I’ve read from the ancient records about the introduction of the Azure Luan and now, I’ve finally seen it with my own eyes! So, this is the Azure Luan. It indeed looks very awesome and it’s very beautiful!”

Huang Sanbai nodded and smiled, “That’s right! The spirit beast, Azure Luan still has a bit of phoenix bloodline in it. So it also has a portion of the phoenix’s ability. Not only can it fly swiftly, but it can also spew out azure flames to aid the practitioner in his battle! Azure Luan might not be as noble as a phoenix’s bloodline, but it is still an extremely rare and valuable spirit beast. In our Sacred Phoenix Race, there aren’t too many of them. But in order to bring you back, Clan Leader only allowed me to bring one out! Everyone just can’t wait to meet you!”

Hearing him say that, Huang Yueli felt rather awkward.

Just at this moment, the Azure Luan seemed to be tired from standing and it impatiently flapped its wings and changed its posture.

Following its movement, the feathers on it shone against the sunlight to reveal a brilliant, dazzling luster and it looked rather beautiful.

Huang Yueli’s eyes shone and her attention immediately shifted onto the Azure Luan.

She quickly walked to the bird and asked, “Elder Sanbai, can I touch it?”

Huang Sanbai’s expression suddenly changed and he hurriedly said, “Lass Li, no! You have to be c…”

Before he could finish his sentence, he already saw Huang Yueli stretching out her hand to touch the feathers on the Azure Luan.

It took a glance at her from high up and gave of a gurgling sound from its throat. But it didn’t move and stood on the spot, allowing Huang Yueli to feel it everywhere.

Huang Sanbai watched that slender hand ruffling through the Azure Luan’s feathers and his eyes almost popped out. In an instant, everything he wanted to say was stuffed back into his mouth!

Huang Yueli blinked and turned around curiously to ask, “Elder Sanbai, what were you saying?”

His mouth twitched with a speechless look. After that, he gave a dry laugh and said, “Hehe, nothing, nothing! Azure Luans are high tiered spirit beasts and they had always been proud. Usually, they don’t like strangers to touch them. Only those people who rear them can control them.”
