Chapter 2629: Blood Moon Ascends (8)

This time, with Sacred Phoenix Race practitioners’ injection of Profound Energy, the Blood Moon Great Array gained a great increase of energy.

The speed of the Blood Moon Ascending was optimistic, and very soon, it rose out of the open crack from the top of Snow Phoenix Palace’s ceiling.

Daytime in Northern Ice Fields was short while the night was long. It was especially so for the freezing zone. At this moment, the outside of Snow Phoenix Palace was already nighttime.

The Blood Moon that congealed from blood essence had just revealed itself, and an evil and sinister blood stench filled the air.

If anyone passed by Snow Phoenix Palace’s surroundings at this particular moment, they would be shocked by this strange energy. Those with slightly weaker cultivations would not react in time and would be implicated by the Blood Moon’s suction. Their blood essence would break out from their bodies and integrate with this bloody colored moon.

Seeing this made the Sacred Phoenix Race practitioners elated.

Looked like the Blood Moon Great Array had sufficient energy. As long as everyone worked together, they would be able to complete the Sacrificial Ceremony!

The crowd was indulging in their joy, and they had completely relaxed their last sliver of doubts.

None of the clansmen doubted Lord Zhan’s judgment as they started to shut their eyes one after another. All of them began to pray piously.

Persist, persist a little longer! The bright future was right in front of them!

The practitioners devoted themselves totally to this sacrificial ceremony, and no one noticed Lord Zhan’s expression. Although he showed his usual look as though nothing was nothing, he had used up all his strength. He was pretending that he wasn’t affected at all!

In reality, the reason why he was able to stand firm right now was all due to his determination. His body started to show signs of trembling.

But…

There was a cold smirk on Lord Zhan’s lips because he would be relieved of this very soon!

Sacred Phoenix Race practitioners’ Profound Energies were slowly being absorbed into the Blood Moon Great Array.

The over-exhaustion of Profound Energy made a practitioners’ consciousness become hazy. Adding on to the blood mist in the surroundings, it had a bewitching and numb effect on one’s senses.

When Lord Zhan saw that the time was ripe, his right hand waved and he suddenly changed his hand gestures!

Under the Profound Energy’s influence, the bottom portion of the Blood Moon Great Array started rippling once again, to form the patterns of a whirlpool.

“Oof—!!”

“Pfft—!!”

Following the formation of the whirlpool, those surrounding practitioners who were seated around instantly felt their bodies tremble. Those with slightly weaker cultivations immediately spat out their blood essence!

“Lord Zhan, you— this is— Oof—! Pfft—!”

Some practitioners with slightly stronger abilities were still clear-minded and sensed that something was wrong. They abruptly opened their eyes, wanting to interrogate Lord Zhan!

However, Lord Zhan’s expression was cold and aloof as he calmly struck out a few more hand gestures to increase the suction power of the Blood Moon Great Array!

Those who had just regained their consciousness started to spit out blood. Their faces instantly turned yellowish, and their throats seemed as though someone was strangling them. They were suffocating, and they could not say a single word at all!

Sacred Phoenix Race practitioners all started to spit out their blood essence as one after another laid limp on the ground.

At the same time, the Blood Moon Great Array kept accumulating their energy within, as it flowed into Lord Zhan’s body steadily.
