Chapter 1547: Only two paths (1)

“Right, a portion of its use…..”

Sage Wu Ding took a deep breath as he explained, “You haven’t activated the Qilin tablet before so you’re probably not aware of the situation in the Qilin tablet. Actually, that is another refinement ground but limited only to god grade geniuses to enter! God grade geniuses might face the most terrifying life and and death crisis in there and according to their final performance, they would obtain different kinds of rewards.”

“To the past god grade geniuses, if they failed the refinement, they would obtain the corresponding rewards and be expelled from the Qilin tablet which meant the end of the refinement. But now that a portion of the mechanism became ineffective, then…..”

Sage Qu Ding’s voice was cold as he continued, “If he failed the refinement, whether he would be expelled from the Qilin tablet or not, there would be only two paths in front of him— either he completes the refinement totally and obtain the reward for completing the refinement perfectly, otherwise…”

His voice paused and Old Man Dong’s heart jumped to the back of his throat, “….. Otherwise what?”

“Otherwise, only death awaits!”

Hearing that, Old Man Dong nearly jumped out of his chair, “What? How could there be such a thing? In the past, how many of those god grade geniuses had successfully passed through the Qilin tablet refinement perfectly?”

Sage Wu Ding took a look at him and his voice turned chillier, “In all the historical books which recorded the history of Cloudy Qilin Clan, among those god grade geniuses who activated the Qilin tablet, the highest completion rate in the refinement was only eighty percent. The number of them who had passed through the stage perfectly was – Zero!”

…

In Violet Sun Valley.

After Li Moying injected his blood onto the Qilin tablet’s totem, the Qilin tablet was activated.

He was caught unaware and his eyes saw black as he instantly lost consciousness.

When he finally reopened his eyes again, he found himself in a dark room where he couldn’t even see his fingers in front of him, not to mention that there was no sight of his Li’er.

Li Moying cried out loudly, “Li’er! Li’er? Where are you? If you hear me, make a sound and let me know your position! I wonder where we are right now? Why is this place so pitch dark!”

However, no one replied to him.

Li Moying frowned as he raised his voice once again, “Li’er?! Li’er!!”

But what responded back to him was complete silence.

Li Moying was extremely worried. He wasn’t especially worried if he himself had met with danger but when the matter concerned Huang Yueli, he totally couldn’t calm himself down.

After all, this valley’s inner portion was the core region and it originally was filled with dangers. There were so many ninth tier magical beasts lying in wait and he was worried that Huang Yueli would run into danger and was unable to deal with it.

His right hand drew out a ball of flame as he wanted to use the light to check out the surrounding situation.

Whoever knew the minute the flame lit up, a sharp cold wind came pouncing towards his direction!

Li Moying sensed an intense crisis and his heart jerked violently!

This feeling was exceptionally terrifying and this was the first time Li Moying had felt such a life threatening threat so distinctly!

His experience in facing battles was rich and he reacted swiftly as he immediately evaded towards the opposite direction!

However, the attacker behind him was even faster in reaction. On seeing him switched directions, he immediately followed him like his shadow!

Bolts of lightning kept striking out towards him from the back and Li Moying tried his hardest but was still unable to evade it totally. He was then struck on his right shoulder.

“Ssssss—” He immediately drew in a mouthful of cold air!
