Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1182 -696: Mega Steelix (Part 2)

Four gigantic sparkling crystal bones and sharp tails shone with dazzling light, transmitting heart-pounding energy fluctuations as if they might explode at any moment.

Without a doubt.

The energy has gone out of control.

Just like Mega Mawile at the time, although the energy gathering points of the two are different, so the specific situations also differ.

Mega Mawile’s energy gathering point is on its head, including that pair of ferocious jaws.

So, after the energy went out of control, it lost its mind and charged to smack Lugia.

In contrast, Mega Steelix’s energy gathering point is in the crystal-like bones, and the cracking of its outer skin revealing the crystals inside is an indication that it cannot suppress the energy.

With its brand-new body, overwhelming energy running wild, and a heavier head.

All these factors together result in Mega Steelix being unable to move right now, let alone battle other Pokémon, it can’t even straighten up.

But…

No big deal!

After all, Baimu never expected Steelix, upon its first super evolution, to display extraordinary combat power; it can take its time to adapt slowly.

Being able to super evolve already means taking a big step forward.

“Release.”

He comforted Mega Steelix, and rainbow-colored light appeared, shrinking Steelix back to its original form in the blink of an eye.

“Roar…”

Steelix opened its eyes, looking a little aggrieved at the trainer.

It never thought that super evolution could be so uncomfortable, feeling as if the entire snake was about to explode, with the explosion point at its tail and the lateral steel bones meant for movement.

Baimu continued to comfort this seemingly fierce but actually tender-hearted big guy and then recalled it into the Pokeball for a good rest.

“Happy?”

Blissey looked at the trainer worriedly.

Baimu rubbed its head and shook his head: “No worries, I can withstand this minor loss, and besides, it’s not the first time. Porygon II! Did you record the data?”

Porygon II dutifully replied: “Preliminary data recording complete, the specific changes of Mega Steelix are…”

Setting aside the data, Mega Steelix’s body length indeed reached a new height.

From the recorded 1935cm before evolution to 2215cm after super evolution, the growth range wasn’t more than three meters, but why did it feel like it doubled in size?

Porygon II indicated that it was significantly related to the width, and its body shape increased proportionally, not by directly extending three meters.

That’s why it seemed like it doubled in size.

“I see.”

Baimu slightly nodded.

Mega Steelix fainted too quickly, causing part of his original plan to be hard to implement, so he had to start the mountain-patrol journey earlier.

A group of Pokémon followed him in a big crowd.

Ultimately, the greenness of the mountain couldn’t compare to the surroundings of Pyrite Town; on this side, he saw no presence of any tall trees, only shrubs and scattered small trees.

They easily caught up with the Altered-color Gengar and Dreepy siblings playing hide and seek.

“Gengar~”

The Altered-color Gengar, like wearing a hat, had topped itself with Corsola, seeking the hidden traces of the Dragapult Siblings within the two-toned shrubs.

However, after wandering around for half a day, it couldn’t spot a trace of the dragons and immediately sought help upon seeing the trainer approach: “Geng! Gengar!”

“Isn’t this considered cheating?”

Baimu raised an eyebrow; who plays games with teammates and seeks outside help—

Okay.

Those two responsible for hiding also cheated.

He helplessly picked up two small stones, tossed them to different spots, speaking for Gengar: “Playing hide and seek and going invisible! You guys can’t handle losing!”

“Hee-yah!”

“Yah!”

Exclamations of pain came from two bushes, and then the Dreepy siblings appeared, sticking their tongues out at Gengar without a hint of awareness of cheating, even unabashedly justified.

Could they have been led astray by Hoopa?

He pondered silently.

(At this time, far in the Valley of Creation, Hoopa sneezed.)

Gengar didn’t particularly mind, cautiously removing Corsola, placing it on Baimu’s head as if crowned a wreath upon the trainer.

Baimu: “…”

Wrongly blamed Hoopa, the Dragapult Siblings definitely learned this from you!

Why are you so mischievous!

He grabbed Gengar’s cheeks and pulled them sideways, the elasticity of its face blossoming astonishingly, being stretched to match its height.

“Gengar-hahaha!”

Gengar was delightfully smug.

Baimu tidied up that guy simply, and continued walking up the mountain, while asking the Pokémon behind him, “It’s not appropriate to always call it a mountain or a range. I’m thinking of giving it a name. Do you have any good suggestions?”

“Happy? Happy!”

“Shasa!”

“Gen ga!”

“Pali…”

“Xiya! Xiya!”

“Xi——ya——”

“…Waddles.”

The noisy cries blended into chaos.

He was a bit surprised by how eager his Pokémon were, so he let Porygon II suggest the proper names, only to be both amused and helpless by the results.

Blissey: 『Baimu Mountain』.

Hydreigon: 『Baimu and Hydreigon’s Mountain』.

Gengar: 『Aggron Mountain』.

Porygon II: 『Bobai Mountain』.

Sister Dragapult: 『Barren Mountain』.

Brother Dragapult: 『My Great Mountain』.

Baruto: 『Ugly Mountain』.

Truly, his Pokémon are a bunch of “talents.”

Baimu poked the Corsola on his head, wanting it to join in, only to feel a sudden suction from above. He hurriedly said, “Okay, okay, you continue sleeping.”

The agitated Corsola indicated through its actions that if disturbed again, it would use Absorption Power to prevent him from climbing the mountain.

What a nasty fellow.

“I actually wanted to name this place Silver Mountain, but unfortunately there’s already one in Johto,” he said to all the Pokémon.

Pyrite Town, Silver Mountain, plus Cyan Iridium Street, how matching would that be.

Unfortunately, this mountain range doesn’t have any landmark scenery, or else naming it by natural features would be a good choice too.

Suddenly.

In front, Baimu spotted two sneaky pink Deerling.

“So there really are Pokémon residing here.”

He wasn’t surprised, as he spotted bird Pokémon circling the mountain when he came yesterday.

Moreover, the well-vegetated area nearby is only this mountain. How could wild Pokémon give up such a natural temptation to live in the barren desert?

Though Aggron might have some objections.

He looked around but didn’t find any traces of the Big Monster, and naturally, the Mawile perched on its shoulder was also missing.

By the water source?

Baimu remembered that when he chose this mountain range, it was because Da Wu informed him that the groundwater resources here were rather abundant.

At that time, it almost spurted out until the water pressure normalized.

Last time N said he helped transform that water source into a well for Pokémon that require water.

Baimu certainly had no objections to this.

But thinking carefully afterwards, most wild Pokémon establish their habitats near water, and with N’s arrangement, how many wild Pokémon had already settled ahead on the mountain?

He asked N, and N told him not many.

Not many…

“I’ve been deceived.”

Running to the vicinity of the water source, Baimu felt a bit unsettled seeing the numerous wild Pokémon in the mountain hollow.

He jumped onto a large rock to peer in, spotting Aggron and Mawile standing by the water source, seemingly in conflict with a few Midday and Midnight Lycanroc, making him feel even more troubled.

Hydreigon, Gengar, and Dragapult Siblings rushed in righteously, while Blissey and Porygon II exchanged a glance, with the former running in and the latter staying to look after the Trainer.

Baruto detested environments with large gatherings of beings, yet it also stealthily moved closer.

It rarely communicated with other Pokémon, but understood the meaning of the word “companion.”

Baimu couldn’t call them back in time, mainly because he felt inexplicably uneasy under the watchful eyes of large numbers of wild Pokémon around him.

“Don’t just start fighting!”

He could only shout this from a distance.

Unexpectedly, a female voice echoed from not far away, “Baimu! You’re really here!”

He looked over, and it was Helena, one of N’s two sisters who loved to call herself the Goddess of Peace, with golden braids standing straight up, and two large tufts of hair on her head like rabbit ears.

“Miss Helena, why are you here too?”

“I heard from Gardevoir that some Pokémon were in conflict, so I came over specially—just me, my sister and N are elsewhere.”

Helena explained.

Baimu gave up looking for the other two upon hearing this.
