Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 703: Chapter 478: Battle of Green Ridge (Part 2)

At that moment, the residual force of Mega Mawile’s punch stirred up a sandstorm, conveniently blinding his eyes and ears.

—Was all of this anticipated by the opponent!?

Xiaofeng looked at Baimu in shock from a distance. If he was wondering how strong this challenger was earlier, now he’s thinking how terrifying this guy can be.

The last time he felt this sense of powerlessness was during his battle with the seldom-returned Da Wu.

Unexpectedly...

Xiaofeng gazed at Gallade, completely knocked out by three beams of light within the fiery red planet. His emotions were extremely complex.

His twin sister Konan, who was almost telepathically connected to him, also sensed something and looked tensely at Mega Mawile, still in its punching stance.

The latter’s intimidation was too strong, she didn’t dare to let Gardevoir act recklessly.

Two versus one.

The opponent was so powerful that with just one move they could take down a Pokémon.

What to do now?

Suddenly.

A burst of colorful light appeared on Mega Mawile, and moments later it returned to its original form, slowly falling backward.

Pa.

A bit of dust flew up.

Xiaofeng and the others were stunned.

”Gallade and Mawile have lost their ability to battle, the Gym Leader has only one remaining, the challenger has three left!” Rey quickly waved the flag and shouted.

Xiaofeng and Konan were left clueless by the scene before them.

This didn’t cause any damage to Mega Mawile, why did it suddenly fall by itself? Could it be that the move used just now has a recoil effect? Or maybe it was extremely exhausting?

Wait!

An opportunity has arisen!

Konan first snapped back to reality, with Gardevoir on the field still fighting fit, Magic Space had ended, and while Porygon II hadn’t been attacked it had exhausted itself with multiple moves, and had even used Strong Mental Will against Lunatone, its state must have declined.

And Baimu needs some time to switch Pokémon, if I capture this brief moment—

”Gardevoir! Jump up and use Spiritual Shock!”

”Garde!”

Gardevoir leaped high, and countless black energy balls appeared around it, they darted towards the hiding Porygon II above the planet like rocket launches!

Naturally, being more autonomous, it wouldn’t wait for the Trainer’s command like other Pokémon, can’t use moves but can still dodge, right?

Thus, at the first sight of those energy balls, Porygon II tried to retreat to the other side of the planet.

Who would have thought those spheres would circle around the planet, as if possessing the ”Guaranteed Hit” attribute, chasing after the retreating Porygon II like high-speed stars.

”Ping!”

Hey hey hey!

Psychic-type doesn’t play fair, does it!

Baimu issued a command just as he returned Mawile to its Pokeball: ”Stop! Use Texture 2!”

The retreating Porygon II immediately halted, a ripple flowed over its body, changing from red and blue to ink-black, its round eyes becoming triangular, looking somewhat fierce, like a gentle toy duck turned ferocious black duck.

The key was that the incoming Spiritual Shock was absorbed directly upon impact.

Never seen [Texture 2] before, leaving Konan quite dumbfounded.

Turns out Porygon II was of the Evil Attribute!?

Seems like that’s the only explanation, she couldn’t help but regret, had she known she wouldn’t have used purely energy-based attacks, even without Miracle Eye, there are other methods to nullify the resistance Evil Attribute has against Psychic Attribute.

Alas, too late!

”Well done.”

Baimu retracted his gaze from Porygon II, softly comforting Mawile in the Pokeball.

Though technically it wasn’t knocked out, it truly lost its ability to battle, unable to take on the Strongman Trait of Gardevoir.

As for Xiaofeng’s speculations... actually, it was just a fluke, Baimu wholeheartedly believed Mega Mawile could hit, who knew there’d be such a small mishap, leading Porygon II to clean up.

Porygon II was supposed to suppress Gardevoir.

Forget it, leave it to the teammates next.

He tossed a Pokeball forward.

Bang!

The light shone brightly.

A milky-white raw stone full of holes rolled into the field, spinning forward for several meters.

Although Konan didn’t recognize the true form of Galarian Corsola, she understood that there were few opportunities left for her and Gardevoir, regardless of what it is.

Just do it!

”Magic Brilliance!”

She, driven by the thought that every hit equals profit, ordered Gardevoir to unleash its limit brilliance!

In an instant.

The dazzling rays illuminated the entire battleground, Gardevoir almost transformed into an unviewable sun, its white gown fluttering as Fairy Energy transformed into rainbow-glossed white canopies, soundlessly rushing towards Corsola and Porygon II, its exaggerated attack range even influenced outside the field!

However, there’s a point.

The sound effect of Magic Brilliance isn’t strong, the sharp squeal spread only at the moment of activation, thus not hindering Baimu’s command.

”Mirror Reflection! Shadow Ball!”

As the bright light dimmed, Xiaofeng and Konan immediately saw a shimmering transparent wall appear in front of the milky-white raw stone—no, the peculiar Pokémon resembling Corsola, gleaming as if light brewed within.

Meanwhile, Porygon II, still hiding on the planet’s surface, emitted smoke all over, a comically square barrel brewed a dark shadow ball larger than itself, chaotic Ghost Attribute Energy twined around its surface smoke, terrifying.

Its eyes gleamed.

Aim complete—launch!

Boom!

The massive shadow ball flew towards Gardevoir!

”Quick, dodge right and behind!”

Konan issued an urgent call.

Gardevoir sprang away, stepping backward in a flash, narrowly missing the gigantic shadow ball, however, dodging the first didn’t escape the second.

As the shadow ball suddenly exploded, Corsola’s Mirror Reflection activated!

Light as dazzling as the previous scorching luminosity transformed into square columns, scraping the ground towards Gardevoir, launching a focused strike where escape was impossible!

Boom——!!

The piercing screech akin to a drill penetrates eardrums!

Gardevoir was instantly engulfed by the white light, fully receiving the mirrored reflection’s overwhelming force, successfully allowing Corsola to stuff the damage it absorbed back into Gardevoir’s mouth.

On the planet.

The spent Porygon II relaxed a little, it had practiced with Corsola many days perfecting its technique, finally paying off!

Should it need a follow-up strike?

It jumped directly from the planet, as the thing was turning far, unfavorable for a second attack.

Indeed.

As the smoke cleared, Gardevoir’s swaying figure still stood notably, its Magic Brilliance inflicted significant damage on Corsola, hence receiving the doubled mirrored attack, Gardevoir was just about to faint.

Like on the brink.

”Gardevoir quickly use Life Waterdrop—”

”Discharging!”

Two voices rang out simultaneously, ultimately leading the slightly better conditioned Porygon II to initiate the attack first.

Though it was struck by Magic Brilliance too, firstly it was farther from Gardevoir, and secondly, the planetary rotation happened to hide it from the back of Magic Brilliance.

Shielding it from nearly a quarter of the damage.

But when a Pokémon’s stamina is alarmingly low, no matter how fast its move speed is, it will be affected, forcing Gardevoir, generally superior to Porygon II, to helplessly watch the latter release Thunderstorm.

Rumble Rumble——

Lightning surged from Porygon II outward, terrifying currents hit Gardevoir’s body, enveloping it in glaring yellow light, swiftly trembling to near distortion.

Corsola, lacking backbone, reverted to a raw stone, rolling to the lower ground.

As Konan watched, she bit her lip, powerless.

Seconds later.

Porygon II finished its discharge.

Gardevoir too was done, falling with multiple scorch marks.

”Gardevoir lost its battle capabilities, Porygon II and Corsola are victorious! The final victor is challenger Baimu!” Rey quickly announced the result of the Gym Battle.
