Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 292: Chapter 289: Gourmet Captive

Transformation can cause significant mental strain for Porygon.

Baimu kept this in mind, realizing that unless it was like Ditto or Mew, which alter themselves on a genetic level, other abilities that cause drastic physical changes seem to impose heavy mental burdens on Pokémon.

The miniaturization of Chansey is the same.

Standing over a meter tall, it can shrink down to the size of a palm in an instant, but if it lasts too long, it may experience dizziness and weakness.

So under normal circumstances, Baimu generally doesn’t let it shrink for long periods, only using it to dodge moves with smaller coverage.

”...It’s time, let’s go eat.”

He glanced at his watch and announced to the two Pokémon.

”Lucky!”

Chansey shook its small hand in agreement and, seeing Porygon’s confused, blank stare, explained to it, ”Lucky~Lucky!”

Sadly.

Porygon still couldn’t understand.

Delicious? What does delicious mean? The database recorded the explanation of this term, but this feeling it had never experienced before was hard for Porygon to comprehend.

Chansey found this difficult as well. With its limited vocabulary, it didn’t know how to describe Baimu’s culinary masterpieces; it became a bit anxious.

”Lucky! Lucky—”

”Delicious is a feeling that makes one happy and joyful.” Unable to bear it, Baimu patted Chansey’s head, telling it to calm down, and said to Porygon, ”What did you feel when you drank the juice earlier?”

When drinking the juice...

Porygon recalled the previous situation and perceived that as the juice entered its body, it naturally experienced an incredibly complex feeling.

This feeling was unprecedented but not unpleasant.

Seeing it lost in thought, Baimu said, ”Remember this feeling. Truly delicious food will give you a tenfold, even hundredfold increase in this sensation.”

”Paly?”

Porygon was somewhat shocked, mainly by the trainer’s description—tenfold, even hundredfold? It couldn’t quite imagine that kind of feeling.

”Look forward to it.”

Baimu smiled at it.

Thanks must be given to Dr. Akihabara for designing the feeding system and including taste and smell systems. Otherwise, while everyone else joyously enjoyed the food, it would only watch uncomprehendingly as its companions ate tastelessly, which would inevitably provoke sympathy.

However.

As an artificial virtual Pokémon, Porygon’s feeding system is quite complex. It can absorb electricity, harness solar energy, and even enter cyberspace if needed to take in signals as energy to continue operating.

Dr. Akihabara takes pride in Porygon’s adaptability because in his initial design, Porygon was a Pokémon born to expand into the universe, requiring adaptation to various environments.

——

Theoretically.

Porygon’s need for food shouldn’t be very strong.

Therefore, even with taste and smell, it would slightly discount the deliciousness.

But Baimu glanced at the Porygon whose head hadn’t resurfaced from the bowl ever since it dove in, suddenly wondering if the manual given to him by Dr. Akihabara was trustworthy or not.

Well.

Since Porygon has become a real, living creature, individual differences can be understood.

Or maybe the glowing cuisine was just too impressive.

Baimu ate his lunch, noticing the wild Aggron finished its share and suspiciously eyed the other Pokémon, knowing this guy likely wasn’t plotting anything good.

”Hey! If you want more, just ask me! Don’t steal from others!”

He tapped the table as a reminder, while the wild Aggron instinctively shrank its head.

This guy is untamable in nature, with a simple-minded habit of threatening other Pokémon to obtain the food it wants. Without Baimu watching, it might cause trouble for Deino.

And don’t be fooled by Deino’s cuteness and charm; it’s actually quite fierce and would surely fight with the wild Aggron.

Once the moves start, basically no one can eat.

Why not target Galarian Corsola? That’s a joke; it had just finished its first bite by the time Galarian Corsola was done. Being unrobbed is lucky enough, let alone stealing its food.

Chansey and Mawile were too close to Baimu, making theft impractical.

Porygon couldn’t fathom the strategies.

The wild Aggron was only familiar with Deino and willing to choose it.

As for some unnamed Big Monster... That’s not even considered; it wouldn’t dare entertain such thoughts and hasn’t cast a glance in that direction.

”You’ve worked hard in the past few days; eat a bit more to ensure you won’t go hungry later.” Baimu filled another bowl for it.

If it’s his own Pokémon, he wouldn’t feed it this way to avoid overfeeding, but for releasing it into the wild, he didn’t mind.

Next to him.

Porygon finally raised its head, its magenta face full of an expression called contentment.

”Paly!”

After eating this glowing dish, it finally understood what delicious meant and what joy was, ”Paly hum!”

Another bowl!

”Next time, not now.” Baimu looked at those yearning eyes, having to heartlessly refuse its request; the manual indicated excessive energy accumulation wasn’t beneficial for Porygon.

Although it doesn’t accumulate food like regular creatures, it could result in something akin to Pikachu overcharging on electricity, causing unhealthy phenomena.

”Paly...”

Porygon, hearing this, lowered its head slightly in disappointment but quickly began anticipating the next meal.

However, the next meal wouldn’t be until the evening.

”Since you enjoy eating, I’m relieved.” Baimu was very satisfied with the glowing cuisine; no Pokémon had ever refused this dish.

In this regard, frying won’t cut it; he needed to continually improve himself, researching stewing and other cooking methods.

——

In the afternoon.

Baimu returned to the New Water Fleet’s research station.

Dr. Akihabara was back, although in a bad mood because the Porygon drone test failed; he was hiding in the office, depressed alone.

However, upon hearing Baimu visit, he still put on a very kind demeanor.

”Is there a problem in breeding Porygon?”

Dr. Akihabara asked.

Baimu nodded and shook his head, ”I do have some questions about Porygon, but my main purpose for coming this time isn’t about Porygon.”

He glanced at the office door, perked his ears to confirm no one was around, and then took out a black box.

”This is what you lost, right?”

Upon seeing the black box, Dr. Akihabara was stunned, then immediately showed an ecstatic expression, ”Data recorder? How do you know I am looking for this? Where did you get it?”

”Captain Aquan told me.”

Baimu handed the black box over, seeing him grabbing the box and about to make a call outside, promptly pressing the phone’s end call button, surprising the other with this unexpected action, and asked, ”Can we talk about the New Water Fleet?”

”...”

Dr. Akihabara slightly furrowed his brow, sitting back in his chair, ”What do you mean?”
