Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 170: Chapter 167: The Giant Serpent Soars

Three large bowls finished.

The giant Steelix’s mouth opened and closed, making a smacking motion, with a look of unfinished satisfaction on its face.

”Today is the first day, let’s fill you up a bit.”

Baimu clapped his hands, and Aggron dragged out a cartload of ore from the warehouse, dumping it all on the ground. ”Actually, supplementing too many metal elements will make your body overly bloated, which is inconvenient for your movement.”

”Roar~”

Steelix let out a joyful low roar, not really listening to what Baimu was saying, using its chin to shovel up the ore and skillfully stuffing it into its mouth.

Crunch crunch...

It emitted a sound similar to Aggron crunching metal, an ear-piercing noise.

While eating, it also started rotating the two transverse steel beams at the top.

At first, Baimu didn’t notice anything, but then he stared closely and saw fine soil leak out from the connection between the transverse beams and the next section, as if it were decomposing the minerals it had ingested.

But he understood that these were remnants from Steelix’s last or previous meal, unwanted soil and some fine particles in its body.

Nicely put, these are Steelix’s ”sweat”; unpleasantly put, it’s its ”excrement.”

Of course.

Essentially, it is still soil.

Baimu once again appreciated the uniqueness of different Pokémon, inevitably feeling pleased, and patted Steelix on the head to let it continue eating.

It responded with a deep hum.

Personally starting to raise Steelix reveals many differences from the information found online.

For instance, Steelix would raise two-thirds of its length, leaving only one-third to support its body—this is actually imprecise. For Steelix, it is usually most comfortable with half its body grounded, while raising two-thirds indicates a defensive or attack posture.

In critical moments, it can raise its entire body, relying solely on its tail for support.

However, this posture requires rotating the four steel beams to maintain balance, resembling a whirlwind potato.

What’s more interesting is Steelix’s movement.

Its upper body tilts slightly backward then jerks forward to pull itself while the grounded parts wiggle like a snake, with assistance from the two grounded transverse steel beams.

Normally, it’s quite slow, but when it bursts, it’s frighteningly fast, dashing forward with a swoosh.

No wonder its devolved form can always chase Ash Ketchum and his group everywhere.

Baimu’s sole evaluation of Steelix’s mobility:

”You need an Electromagnetic Levitation.”

”Roar?”

”Mawile, help with an Electromagnetic Levitation! Pass the Baton!”

He shouted at the baton-passing tool user.

Under the eaves, Mawile casually sipping a cold drink unleashed streams of electricity on its skin, transforming into electric light flowing into Steelix’s body.

”Roar? Roar!”

Steelix was initially confused, suddenly realizing it had risen from the ground, panicking for a moment, darting and spinning constantly.

Several times, it nearly collided with the roof.

Moreover, an eighteen-meter-long giant twisting in the sky is somewhat terrifying, forcing Baimu to shout, urging it to calm down a bit.

Unfortunately, the two had only recently met, so it’s ineffective.

”Come!”

Baimu patted Aggron’s arm.

”Roar!”

Aggron roared without hesitation.

The next moment.

The body of Steelix in the sky slightly stiffened, quickly returning to a calm motion, leisurely swaying in the air.

”Yes, just like that, slow down, try twisting your body to control direction, or oscillating your transverse beams!” Baimu shouted at the top of his lungs.

He felt very relieved not standing atop Steelix’s head earlier, successfully avoiding a terrifying ride akin to a super roller coaster.

As Steelix gradually adjusted in the sky, it began to play around, expanding its cruising radius, ascending in height, soaring over the house into the front yard.

Baimu quickly chased after it, continuously distracting Steelix verbally to prevent it from getting too absorbed in play.

He was quite surprised that Steelix was not afraid of heights. When Aggron uses Electromagnetic Levitation, it is respectful of height increase, maintaining at one to two meters off the ground as its limit.

Regarding this, Baimu often persuades it.

”You can’t do this, you know. When you conquer a mountain as territory in the future, wouldn’t you be scared to death looking down from the summit? Must overcome!”

Aggron thought this made sense.

But it still finds it difficult to accept the panic caused by being too far from the ground.

Comparatively, Steelix has a natural ability to fly, although its secondary attribute is ground type, it does not have much fear of the sky.

In a bit more time.

”Alright! Come down quickly! It’s over!”

Seeing electric light starting to flash on Steelix, Baimu quickly instructed it to descend.

To his surprise, Steelix seemed unable to smoothly decrease its altitude, completely clueless about how to come down, only able to control magnetic ascent, unable to descend.

As it struggled while flying, it soon reached the sky above the bushes that Aggron had carefully tended.

”Coarroar!”

Aggron was immediately scared out of its wits, hurriedly rushing to catch the fellow to avoid crushing the bushes, but upon reaching the lawn edge, it slowed down to avoid its claws digging up the turf.

This delay directly led to Steelix plummeting toward the lawn.

”Coar——roar——”

Aggron let out a soul-crushing wail.

Fortunately, right before Steelix was about to smash the bushes, a sudden blue light lifted it, forcibly freezing it mid-air.

It was Chansey’s [Telekinesis].

”Lucky~”

”Why panic, I’ve always had Chansey with us,” Baimu smiled at the nearly tearful Aggron.

Thereafter.

They returned to the backyard.

Steelix lowered its head slightly, hesitantly avoiding looking at Aggron.

The latter was initially furious, intending to grab its tail for a whirlwind, but reconsidered, generously forgiving the former.

On the recliner.

Mawile glanced at the scene, emitting a cold ”boring” laugh.

”Tchdo~”

——

With the strong addition of the giant Steelix.

After several days, Baimu once again felt the battle environment was cramped, and the field of thirty meters long and fifteen meters wide barely accommodated Steelix, overcrowded with other Pokémon.

Whether it be basic or move training, there’s a sense of restriction.

”Fortunately, Ash Ketchum has Dr. Da Mu’s backyard as a staunch support, otherwise, with just his solitary house, how could he fit so many Pokémon?”

After some hesitation, Baimu decided to think of other methods.

But the leadership residence, as the core area of the Sand Group, had already utilized its land extremely for private space; no extra room was left for him.

——Someone else’s home has land.

Undoubtedly, Baimu eyed Liu Ge’s Family next door. Since the lovely brother seldom returned, when he occasionally did, he quickly left; although it’s unclear where he lived usually, the vast amount of unused open land was truly enviable.
