Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 99: Chapter 96: Kappa God’s Host

The next day.

The sun was shining brightly.

Outside, the Aggron was playing in the water with Chansey and Mawile.

Ever since it evolved, this essentially water-weak big monster had become increasingly unruly, no longer getting wet through raindrops but rather dousing itself directly.

No wonder it could learn Surf and other Water Type moves as a Pokémon.

Baimu lay sideways on the sofa, listening to the laughter coming from outside, while his eyes were fixed on the bottom right corner of the simulator.

After two days of competition feedback, the cooldown was about to end, but since the first three times had nothing interesting, it left him a bit bored.

Might as well simulate it away during the afternoon nap.

He yawned, waiting for the countdown to zero.

A moment later.

[Choose your birth region▽]

A line of words appeared.

Baimu felt too lazy to be conflicted, so he simply closed his eyes and swiped up and down, only opening them when his finger tapped—

Carlos?

To be honest, it was his first time choosing this region, which piqued his interest a little.

He clicked on gender.

Without much hesitation, he decisively chose male.

The likelihood of simulating a previously modeled character was really small, so Baimu completely gave up on the idea of riding someone’s coattails and followed the order of one male and one female each time.

The last time, the birdkeeper was female, so this time he switched to male.

He opened the Pokémon tab, and sure enough, there was one available for selection—a Water Attribute Psyduck.

Should he choose it?

Baimu understood that the initial Pokémon to some extent determined the simulation subject, just like being able to choose Onix when as a mountain climber, or Pidgeotto when as a birdkeeper.

What type of trainer owns a Psyduck?

Tube boy? Diver?

...is it too late to go back and choose female, maybe he could randomly get a bikini lady.

After searching for a long time, Baimu couldn’t find a back option, letting out a sigh before his fingers very honestly tapped on Psyduck, ready to select a talent.

[Please draw your talent]

Press it.

Fixed talent:

[Physically Strong (the Trainer is very healthy)]

Optional talents:

[Sentimental (mind easily swayed)]

[Kind-hearted (eager to help others)]

[☆As if God’s Help (always manages to get through difficulties)]

[Elite System (won’t catch too many Pokémon)]

WTF! Blue Talent!

Another Blue Talent!

Baimu suddenly realized that three simulations had passed since the last Blue Talent appeared, and the Miniskirt who had a Blue Talent also appeared after three simulations.

So a Blue Talent definitely appears every three simulations?

No, no, no.

It’s still impossible to be sure; maybe it was just good luck? After all, this time the Blue Talent appeared in the optional section, rather than in the fixed talents.

But undoubtedly, the As if God’s Help talent was a must-pick. As for the second talent... both Kind-hearted and Elite System were not bad.

Considering that he himself was very kind-hearted and that being kind-hearted was a great plus in the Pokémon World, there was almost no need to hesitate further.

[Simulation starts]

A huge light screen slowly expanded, the buildings and characters remained the old-fashioned pixel style.

Looks like even jumping to the eighth generation, the simulator’s graphics couldn’t switch to a 3D style.

It’s just that the environment inside the screen...

”New Oriental?”

Baimu scratched his head.

——

In the picture.

It’s a bright and transparent massive kitchen.

Numerous people wearing white uniforms and aprons around their waists stood at the cooking stations, either holding frying pans or wielding knives, handling various ingredients.

But soon, the scene shifted to the white building’s entrance.

A chef with an oversized bag walked out from inside, turning around every step as if extremely reluctant to leave.

[At fifteen, you were driven out of the Western culinary training school because your teacher would not acknowledge you]

Huh?

The new simulation subject turned out to be a chef? And a Western chef at that?

Baimu stroked his chin, never imagining that the partner with Psyduck would actually be a chef, although not a qualified one, as even the school had expelled him...

No wonder the fixed talent was [Physically Healthy], shouldn’t a chef be healthy, even a Western one requires a strong foundation.

After all, standing for a whole day is normal.

Speaking of which, where’s the Psyduck?

He glanced at the very bottom Pokémon tab, where that chubby figure was prominently present.

Not released from the Pokeball?

While pondering this, a round yellow head suddenly popped out of the chef’s backpack, looking around in bewilderment.

’Quack~’

When the Psyduck’s head popped up with this text, Baimu almost heard its silly call through the screen, and he couldn’t help but smile.

Another line of text appeared in the narration.

[You were heartbroken, but determined to become a great chef like your idol, Four Heavenly Kings Siebold, you decided to travel with Psyduck, honing your culinary skills while heading towards the Pokémon Alliance]

The chef, carrying the Psyduck, left the school, and as he stepped out of the gate, a bustling street immediately came into view for Baimu.

Even in pixel style, it wasn’t hard to see this street was filled with ancient and romantic elements.

No doubt.

This was the largest city in the Carlos Region—Lumiose City, also known as the ”City of Light,” a beautiful metropolis.

[You crossed Winter Avenue and arrived at the Central Square beneath the Prism Tower]

[You planned to challenge the Lumiose Gym here, but were rejected by the gate’s AI program, as the AI stated that the Lumiose Gym requires four badges and more than three Pokémon to challenge]

Is Hitron already the Gym Leader? Could it be his robot, or perhaps his father’s rule?

Baimu watched as the chef turned away even more dejectedly, feeling that it didn’t match his talent, where was the supposed [As if God’s Help]? Clearly blocked at every turn.

[You decided to head to White Sand City, where many novice Trainers are gathered, perfect for someone who just embarked on a journey like you]

The chef, carrying the Psyduck, left the bustling Lumiose City, and appeared in the vast wilderness.

But unlike regular Trainers, the first thing the chef did upon arriving in the wild was not to look for powerful or rare Pokémon, nor to rush to the next city, but instead, he voluntarily dove into the woods, squatting on the ground, fumbling around constantly.

[You collected a large number of ingredients with the knowledge you acquired and decided to turn your sorrow into appetite, preparing a delicious meal to treat yourself]

The chef carried heaps of ingredients to the riverside, pulled Psyduck out of his backpack, and tossed it into the river, swiftly setting up a cooking station and a simple stove.

Judging by his skillful actions, it was evident this wasn’t his first time doing so.

Baimu watched the busy chef with interest, thinking that being expelled from a culinary school, this guy’s cooking skills might not be very good.

How bad?

Perhaps reaching a level where he concocted deadly dishes.

While he speculated, the chef suddenly pulled out a gigantic wok and a long-handled spatula from his backpack.

Baimu couldn’t hold it in.

WTF!?

What the hell—you’re a Chinese chef!?

No, no, in the Pokémon World, there’s only a hybrid element similar to Chinese chefs, so none exists... but regardless, carrying a Chinese wok into the domain of Western frying pans, it’s no wonder they booted you out.

Getting labeled acceptable would be even stranger!

It wasn’t the cooking skill that was lacking, nor was it the persecution from schoolmates or teachers.

Unbelievable.
