Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2895: Chapter 2896: Black Butterfly Attack

In these past few days, Ye Luo has been cultivating in Wudang; with these resources, it’s enough for Wudang to indulge for a hundred years.

Qiong Yao and Yu’er serve by Ye Luo’s side, but the two never agree to accompany him together, which makes him quite displeased.

However, he also understands that although the women of the Demon Race appear open-minded, they are actually quite shy at heart. They don’t care about Ye Luo having multiple wives, but serving him simultaneously makes them uncomfortable.

”Ye Luo, what should we do next?”

One day, Qiong Yao suddenly asked.

After all, their current life appears peaceful, but in reality, outside Wudang, the situation is precarious.

The Royal City is quite chaotic, and with Ye Luo stirring things up, the sects around it are also in turmoil.

”Wait!”

Ye Luo replied indifferently while pulling Qiong Yao into his arms, intending to act unscrupulously.

”Annoying, we’ve been waiting for so many days already. It’s almost unbearable!”

”Hehe, how could it be unbearable with me?” he said and pressed down on her.

After a bout of passion, Qiong Yao lazily nestled in Ye Luo’s arms.

”It should be soon!” Ye Luo suddenly said.

Qiong Yao widened her beautiful eyes and looked at Ye Luo but didn’t interrupt his thoughts.

The next day, the entire Royal City suddenly became agitated.

Or rather, it was the sects around the Royal City.

The Black Butterfly Legion wiped out five sects overnight! Moreover, these five sects were of medium strength and were great sects with hundreds of years of heritage.

Initially, everyone thought the legion would target King of Huainan’s army, but unexpectedly, they attacked these sects!

So, what was their purpose in attacking the sects?

Furthermore, it was a massacre. As for other resources and such, they only took what they needed and ignored the rest!

Could it be that they were merely killing for the sake of killing? Or were they declaring war on the Royal City through this act?

Regardless, the surrounding sects were panicking.

After all, that’s a legion of over a hundred thousand troops; which sect could withstand that? Perhaps those great sects with formations could resist, but the small and medium sects had no chance of defending!

Moreover, these sects each stand alone, unwilling to unite; even if the neighboring sect is attacked, they would only stand by and watch.

But soon, everyone noticed a peculiar phenomenon: the sects that offered gifts to Ye Luo were not harmed at all!

The most typical case was on a mountain range where three sects were located. The sect in the middle chose to present a hefty gift to Ye Luo, while the other two sects, in terms of overall strength, were superior to this sect! Hence, they couldn’t lower themselves to make compromises!

Yet, the fact was that the sect was safe and sound, while the surrounding two were annihilated!

This matter was too strange. Could it be that the legion suddenly showed mercy and did not attack that sect? This clearly doesn’t make sense!

Thus, that night, the area around Wudang buzzed again, with many small sects coming to offer gifts, hoping for the best!

And Ye Luo, along with the Black Butterfly Legion, continued the slaughter!

Another five sects were wiped out! Likewise, the sects that presented gifts to Ye Luo remained unscathed, not a single sect was affected!

At this point, people began to wonder, is it merely a coincidence?

After this news reached Wudang, Qiong Yao and Yu’er immediately came to Ye Luo’s tent.

”So, have you two finally figured it out?” Ye Luo laughed.

The two women slightly dazed at first, then understood what Ye Luo meant and immediately chided lightly.

”What are you thinking about all day? Have you heard about those sects being attacked!” Yu’er glanced at Ye Luo and said.

”This, of course, I have heard!”

Such a major event, it’s hard for him not to hear about it.

”Now there is a rumor that the Black Butterfly Legion is related to you; any sect that gives you a gift is spared. Is this true or false?” Yu’er asked, furrowing her brows.

”Probably true!”

”So you really are connected with the Black Butterfly Legion?” Yu’er widened her eyes.

”I’ve never even seen what the Black Butterfly Legion looks like, but for them to do this, they must have a purpose. Besides, I said before I would protect these sects; isn’t this quite good?”

The two women felt speechless after hearing this, thinking this guy is too blasé!

”In that case, you better clarify things. Otherwise, those sects giving you gifts might not resist at all and will meet a quicker demise!”

Ye Luo, however, got up with a smile, ”It’s their business to give gifts, I didn’t force them, and that Black Butterfly Legion has over a hundred thousand troops, what do you expect me to do?”

A hundred thousand cultivators are enough to kill in the Martial Emperor Realm; even if they can’t kill Ye Luo, Ye Luo can’t do anything about those one hundred thousand elite soldiers either.

If he had those two hundred and fifty thousand elite soldiers in hand, it would certainly be a different story.

The two women also understood Ye Luo’s predicament, sighed, and then left.

Meanwhile, the Royal City was in even greater chaos.

Those nobles were eagerly seeking an audience with the King of Huainan, requesting the King of Huainan to deploy troops to suppress the Black Butterfly Legion. After all, the sects around King Cheng City were closely linked with these nobles, and the annihilation of the sects severely damaged the interests of these nobles.

However, the King of Huainan closed his doors and refused all visitors! Not replying at all.

That night, more than a dozen sects were wiped out.

Although the sects that gave Ye Luo gifts were still unharmed, no one cared about that now; those nobles even went mad.

The Royal Family, helpless, had to respond!

Qin Se led a hundred thousand elite soldiers to fend off the Black Butterfly Legion.

Although this move eased the nobles’ concerns somewhat, they were mostly puzzled.

The Black Butterfly Legion itself has over a hundred thousand troops, yet Qin Se led only a hundred thousand elite soldiers! This is no advantage at all!

After all, the Black Butterfly Legion’s more than a hundred thousand elite soldiers are said to be able to repel twenty thousand troops of King of Huainan!

So, is Qin Se’s hundred thousand cultivators going to their death? Furthermore, within less than a hundred miles, twenty-five thousand elite soldiers are stationed, why not bring them along to fight the Black Butterfly Legion?

Though these nobles know that these troops only follow the King of Huainan’s order, if the King of Huainan doesn’t give the order, it’s useless no matter how anxious they are.

”Ye Luo, your little lover’s move, isn’t she courting death!”

Standing before Ye Luo, Yu’er furrowed her brows and said.

”Even numbers of a hundred thousand troops, how is that courting death?” Ye Luo countered.

”You sure have faith in her; let’s wait for the outcome then!” Yu’er showed a look of disdain.
