Chapter 1190: Chapter 1190: Convoy Hijacked

Moments later, he promptly arranged for someone to handle the termination of the contract with Shi Yu.

Shi Yu followed behind Ye Luo, secretly watching his figure. That moment had truly frightened her; after all, facing armed and loaded warriors was quite shocking for her.

However, as soon as Ye Luo walked out of the company building, he immediately said to Shi Yu and Shi Yanran, ”Both of you, be careful. Head straight back to the hotel. Don’t wander around before I return; I still have matters to attend to. Did you understand?”

”Okay, we got it!”

Actually, from the moment Ye Luo saw those two Puppet Zombies, he had been extremely perturbed and worried. Now, as he left the entertainment company, Ye Luo planned to head directly to the Yellow Group’s local office to personally oversee Liu Dongchen and the other two.

Ye Luo always felt that the situation was not as simple as it seemed; it was as if a huge conspiracy net was spreading, preparing for something significant about to happen.

Therefore, this time, Ye Luo seemed a bit more anxious.

Quickly, Ye Luo flagged down a taxi and rushed to the Yellow Group’s secret division in Taiping City.

But what Ye Luo didn’t expect was that he was still too late.

The motorcade had an accident!

Thirteen armed warriors and five vehicles had all vanished!

Although Ye Luo hadn’t delayed much, by the time he arrived at the Yellow Group’s division, it was still too late.

”Was there any discovery around Shunli Road?”

”Yes, Team Leader, there was no anomaly.”

At that moment, the command center at the Yellow Group’s division was in complete chaos, and the head of the entire division, Bai Yiran, was incredibly frustrated.

Five minutes had passed since they lost contact with the dispatched team, but they had checked all the surveillance cameras around the last known location of the motorcade and found absolutely nothing!

That was a convoy of five vehicles, escorted by thirteen warriors, but it had vanished as if it had evaporated into thin air!

What exactly was going on? Even Bai Yiran found it as unbelievable as seeing a ghost.

”Team Leader, Young Master Ye is here!”

Suddenly, someone rushed into the command center, speaking with a tone of excitement.

By now, everyone in the Yellow Group knew who Ye Luo was.

The Earth Group, the Xuan Group, and the Yellow Group had merged into one division, and Ye Luo was the leader!

After some restructuring, all the subordinate divisions and support staff were well-informed, even though the news about Ye Luo might spread a bit slower in other places.

But within the Yellow Group, any news about Ye Luo spread across all offices within two days, including some details completely unknown outside. The internal staff were very clear about it.

In the Yellow Group, at least internally, no one dared to disrespect Ye Luo.

Disrespect?

Sure, if you can, try going to the Island Country and bomb their shrines for fun!

Disrespect?

If you think you can, go ahead and see if your thigh can compare to moving Ye Luo’s little finger!

Because of such rumors, Ye Luo’s reputation within the Yellow Group had become immense!

When they heard Ye Luo was coming, everyone immediately stood up straight, fearing they might leave a bad impression on him.

Ye Luo pushed open the command room door and walked straight in, waving his hand, not waiting for those present to greet him, he immediately said, ”Continue working.”

”Yes, Young Master Ye!”

”Tell me what you currently know.”

Ye Luo came over to Bai Yiran and asked directly.

”Master Ye, the signal completely disappeared five minutes ago. Please look here, the motorcade and the warriors on duty all had trackers, but five minutes ago, both the five vehicles and the trackers on all thirteen warriors lost their signal!”

”And we immediately pulled up the surveillance footage, but oddly, while the previous camera showed the five vehicles passing through, the next camera showed no trace at all. We also pulled footage from within a ten-mile radius and still came up empty!”

Ye Luo frowned slightly; between the two cameras in a busy district, it was probably only a matter of seconds, but during such a short span, five vehicles vanished?

”Young Master Ye, we have already dispatched personnel to investigate the scene, but no news has come back yet.”

Ye Luo nodded, looking at the map location where the motorcade disappeared, his brow furrowed.

Even he, Ye Luo, couldn’t make five vehicles disappear in such a short time!

That area was a busy district with many pedestrians and vehicles. If five vehicles had vanished into thin air, it would be impossible for no one to have seen.

Yet there had been no reports of anything unusual; this suggested that probably no one had witnessed it.

But still, the disappearance of five vehicles was not a minor issue; how could it be confirmed that no one noticed?

Moreover, what means did the hidden forces use to make those five vehicles disappear?

Even Ye Luo couldn’t accomplish that!

”Replay the surveillance, and also, contact the police and ask them to send personnel to help investigate where these five vehicles are!”

”Yes, Young Master Ye!”

The surveillance footage was quickly replayed, but Ye Luo saw nothing after watching it once.

”Play it again, set on loop!”

Ye Luo couldn’t believe it; with five vehicles and about a dozen people, could they just vanish into thin air?

Yet the surveillance footage clearly showed that within those few seconds between the two cameras, the five vehicles simply disappeared.

What exactly was happening?

Today’s events carried an extremely eerie vibe.

No, something must be wrong; five vehicles couldn’t just disappear without any signs.

Ye Luo’s brow furrowed deeply, his mind swiftly pondering all possibilities.

Just then, an office worker said to Bai Yiran, ”Commander, Captain Liu, who went to investigate, is requesting to speak with you.”

”Put him through!”

Right now, everyone was waiting for information from Captain Liu, so Bai Yiran naturally didn’t delay.

Soon, the phone connected, and a steady voice came through.

”Commander, this is Liu Hao.”

”Liu Hao, what’s the situation on your end?”

Bai Yiran put the phone on speaker so Ye Luo could hear.

”Captain, it’s strange. We’ve asked some people around, but no one seems to have seen our five vehicles. Some people did see similar models, but the license plates didn’t match...”
