Chapter 587: 587 Chapter Charity Auction_1

”Hello, everyone, no need to be so formal, I am here today on behalf of the Imperial Family to participate in this charity gala, which is a testament to our family’s passion for charity,” Miyamoto Takeshi said with a warm smile.

”The Crown Prince is truly kind!”

”Indeed, worthy of being the future Heavenly Emperor’s heir, possessing such a kind heart is a blessing for the people of the Island Country.”

A group of social elites and dignitaries began to flatter Miyamoto Takeshi. Although they were influential in their own right within the Island Country, they were nothing compared to him. Moreover, being on good terms with the Imperial Family could be very beneficial for them and their family powers.

At this moment, Ye Luo also learned about Miyamoto Takeshi’s identity from the mouth of Yamaguchi Momoe, but Yamaguchi Momoe’s expression seemed a bit off when she looked at Miyamoto Takeshi.

”Miss Momoe, what’s wrong?” Ye Luo couldn’t help but ask.

”It’s nothing,” Yamaguchi Momoe said, glancing at Miyamoto Takeshi before diverting her gaze and speaking out.

However, by this time, after dealing with the crowd, Miyamoto Takeshi scanned the room and noticed Yamaguchi Momoe. He walked over to her with a smile.

”Momoe, we finally meet again.”

Miyamoto Takeshi approached Yamaguchi Momoe, his eyes filled with deep affection as he looked at her.

It was clear that Miyamoto Takeshi was fond of Yamaguchi Momoe, which explained her previous unusual demeanor.

Facing Miyamoto Takeshi’s affectionate address and loving gaze, Yamaguchi Momoe showed no pleasure but instead a hint of helplessness in her eyes.

”Your Highness, the Crown Prince!” Yamaguchi Momoe greeted him with a neutral expression.

”Momoe, it has been such a long time; don’t you plan to accept the love I have for you? I’ve said before, as long as you agree, I will make you the future Empress of the Imperial Family, the happiest woman in the Island Country,” Miyamoto Takeshi said earnestly.

If it were any other woman who heard Miyamoto Takeshi say such a thing, she would probably fall in love with him instantly, but Yamaguchi Momoe just shook her head.

”Your Highness, the Crown Prince, I don’t want to become an Empress or the happiest woman in the Island Country. I just want to live a happy life with the person I love. I believe you will find someone better than me,” Yamaguchi Momoe said solemnly.

”I will definitely make you my wife,” Miyamoto Takeshi confidently said, before turning and walking to the other side.

Yamaguchi Momoe’s expression flickered, showing immense complexity.

”Miss Momoe, this Miyamoto Takeshi looks quite good and is the Crown Prince of the Royal Family. Don’t you find him appealing?” Ye Luo asked casually from the side.

”Some things are not as simple as they seem on the surface,” Yamaguchi Momoe said in a deep tone, clearly hiding something.

”The Prime Minister and his wife have arrived!”

A few minutes later, the Island Country’s Prime Minister Abe Kozo and his wife entered hand in hand. Once again, the crowd stood and greeted them with respectful expressions as they had done for Miyamoto Takeshi.

Standing at just five-foot-three, with a somewhat sleazy appearance, Ye Luo couldn’t help but sigh; even the Prime Minister had such a lecherous look—it was no wonder that the Island Country was so steeped in erotica.

Abe Kozo walked in, warmly greeting everyone before heading to the stage.

”Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for attending this charity gala hosted by the Prime Minister’s wife. All the funds raised from tonight’s auction will be donated to the poor families of the Island Country, representing our heart for charity,” Abe Kozo began, and the audience burst into applause.

Following the Prime Minister’s wife’s remark, the charity gala officially commenced.

Such a charity gala involves participants auctioning off a collection of items, with the proceeds being donated.

The items auctioned at this charity gala came from the treasured collections of various nobles and elites.

After all, since the charity gala was hosted by the Prime Minister’s wife, these influential figures naturally put in some effort to present extraordinary items for auction. As the auction began, the venue instantly erupted into a fierce bidding war.

Although some of the auctioned items seemed trivial to these nobles and notables, they all called out high bids, firstly to garner a favorable image and secondly to show off in front of the Prime Minister.

Yamaguchi Momoe also put up a collectible for auction, which naturally resulted in Miyamoto Takeshi purchasing it at a high price. An item originally worth over three million was ultimately auctioned off by Miyamoto Takeshi for thirty million, stunning the crowd.

However, remembering the rumors about Miyamoto Takeshi and Yamaguchi Momoe, they understood this to be an intentional act by the Crown Prince to win over Yamaguchi Momoe’s favor.

Yet, Yamaguchi Momoe appeared utterly calm towards the situation.

Finally, after some anticipation, Ye Luo’s target, Huaxia’s treasured Dragon Head, made its appearance. A colossal dragon head cast in gold was placed on the auction stage, its lifelike features astonishing many of the distinguished guests present.

The Dragon Head was indeed brought to auction by Miyamoto Takeshi.

”Ladies and gentlemen, some of you may be familiar with this Dragon Head, while others may not. This Dragon Head is a precious artifact from Huaxia with a history of thousands of years, symbolizing the Divine Dragon of Huaxia. Its value is extraordinary, and for this charity auction, the Crown Prince has specially brought it forth for bidding. I hope everyone will eagerly participate.”

The auctioneer introduced the piece, and immediately a crowd began to bid.

The price skyrocketed, reaching several hundred million, with people still raising their bids.

They were calling out such high prices not solely due to the Dragon Head’s value, but also because it was presented by the Crown Prince, Miyamoto Takeshi. They bid against each other, hoping to win Miyamoto Takeshi’s favor by securing the piece.

At this moment, Ye Luo’s eyes were sparkling with keenness as he fixed his gaze on the Dragon Head, pondering how to obtain it.

Securing the Dragon Head within the Prime Minister’s residence seemed impractical, so his best bet appeared to be waiting for someone else to win it at the auction, take it out of the Prime Minister’s residence, and then make his move to seize it.

”Ten billion!”

Suddenly, Tagawa Banki from the Tagawa Family raised his hand, calling out a bid of ten billion, a move that took everyone by surprise.

As Tagawa Banki made his bid, many in attendance gave up on the auction, knowing that the power of the Tagawa Family among them was supreme, and they could not outbid them without risking offense.

”That’s it, it’s him!”

Tagawa Ichiro, who was standing nearby, suddenly jumped up, his expression filled with excitement.

”Ichiro, what are you doing?”

Tagawa Banki was startled by his son’s outburst, his face darkened as he sternly called out.

”Father, that’s Ye Luo!”
