Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Calling the Three Admirals for an Emergency Meeting!

After speaking, the Den Den Mushi was hung up. Aokiji’s expression became a bit serious.

He didn’t know what could have caused their Fleet Admiral to summon the three Admirals for an emergency meeting.

These kinds of meetings rarely happen, maybe once every few years.

The fact that it was called so urgently this time meant something important must have happened.

He thought back to the last time, which seemed to be the time of the Ohara incident.

Back then, he hadn’t even become a Marine Admiral yet.

This shows just how serious this event must be.

Aokiji sighed, put away the Den Den Mushi, rode his bike a little faster, and headed straight for the Marine headquarters.

...

In one area of the sea, flames soared everywhere.

Screams of agony filled the air, with people begging for mercy.

Marine Admiral Akainu was pursuing a strong pirate group.

The sea surface was a complete mess.

The enemy’s dozens of ships were now beaten by Akainu, leaving only one main ship.

Flames raged intensely on the sea.

Wails of sorrow came from the burning ships.

”Hey, is that guy crazy? We already surrendered!”

”Yeah, we surrendered, why kill us all!”

Their voices contrasted sharply with the roaring flames around them.

The seawater sizzled from the intense heat; they were sheep in a pot, with no place to escape.

Seeing that the time was right, Akainu suddenly jumped into the sky.

His arm changed into magma, and he instantly blasted the enemy’s main ship.

With just this one strike, he turned the ship within dozens of meters to ashes.

Every pirate on board was turned into dust, not one was left.

It was hard to imagine that this pirate group, which once had thousands of people,

was wiped out by Akainu in just a few days.

No matter their age, no one was spared.

The Marine Vice Admirals behind Akainu showed a bit of seriousness in their eyes when they saw this scene.

Even though they had been by Akainu’s side for years, they found such extreme justice hard to accept.

However, they chose to follow Akainu because they agreed with his ideas.

After all, they had personally seen examples of soft-hearted Marines who released pirates only to be retaliated against later.

As they were thinking, they saw Akainu slowly landing with a fierce look in his eyes.

”Don’t make that face, we must kill every last one of these trash pirates!”

After Akainu said this, a messenger ran up in a hurry, saying in a flustered voice:

”Reporting to Admiral Sakazuki! The communications department just sent an order saying that the Fleet Admiral has urgently summoned the three Admirals for an important meeting, and asks that you return to Marine headquarters as soon as possible!”

Hearing this, Akainu paused slightly, then revealed a look of disdain.

”Tell them I’m not available.”

After saying this, Akainu lay back in a deck chair, pulled out a cigar, and began to smoke.

Hearing this, the marine messenger looked a little troubled.

”The Fleet Admiral also said that the reason for this meeting is the appearance of the leader of the Revolutionaries, Dragon!”

Hearing this, Akainu’s eyes shifted slightly.

He then sat up and took a strong puff of his cigar.

Akainu had always been interested in Dragon, the leader of the revolutionaries, whom even the world’s strongest pirates, the Four Emperors, could not reach.

Although he didn’t dislike Dragon as much as he disliked pirates, he had an almost twisted fascination with Dragon, the world’s greatest criminal.

However, the Revolutionaries were always moving around, so it was difficult to catch him.

If he could compete with Dragon, he would have no regrets in this life.

Thinking of this, Akainu pouted and said in an unwilling manner:

”In that case, I’ll just go back to Marine headquarters on the way.”

...

Marine Headquarters, Marineford.

Since Kizaru was already at Marine headquarters and hadn’t gone out,

he was the first Admiral to arrive at the Fleet Admiral’s office.

As soon as Kizaru came in, he sat cross-legged on the sofa, looking worried.

”Hey, Fleet Admiral, you’re taking up my rest time. If it’s not important, you’ll have to give me a raise.”

Saying this, Kizaru looked at his watch, as if he cared a lot about time.

He wondered if this meeting would take up his time after work.

This made him very worried.

Hearing Kizaru’s question, Sengoku didn’t say much. He simply grabbed a wanted poster

and handed it to Kizaru.

After seeing the person on the wanted poster, Kizaru’s expression turned serious.

Seeing this, Sengoku was very satisfied.

That was the expression he wanted to see from Kizaru.

He then struck while the iron was hot:

”That guy Dragon showed up in Loguetown today for some reason.”

”And very coincidentally...”

Saying this, Sengoku took out another wanted poster, which was Luffy’s wanted poster.

He then handed it to Kizaru and said:

”The fact that these two appeared in Loguetown together is a big problem, don’t you think?”

Hearing this, Kizaru pretended not to understand and said:

”Hey, Fleet Admiral, don’t speak in riddles.”

”But these two people do look a bit alike.”

Kizaru had an exaggerated look on his face.

Sengoku glanced at Kizaru and said helplessly:

”Stop pretending to be confused, you’ve been monitoring the Revolutionaries, haven’t you?”

Hearing this, Kizaru looked at his watch.

”There’s only half an hour left until I get off work, Fleet Admiral.”

Hearing this, Sengoku...

As the two were talking, a lazy voice suddenly came over.

”What’s so important that you’re calling an emergency meeting of the three Admirals, Fleet Admiral?”

Hearing this, Sengoku glanced towards the door.

He saw a lazy looking man slowly walking in.

A cold chill surrounded him.

That man was one of the Marine headquarters Admirals, code-named Aokiji.

Aokiji went straight to the sofa, sat down with his legs spread, and yawned.

It looked like he was about to fall asleep again.

Seeing Aokiji like this, Sengoku just rolled his eyes at him, then began to speak:

”It’s rare for you to be here so early. The reason I called you here is because of Dragon’s appearance in Loguetown.”

Saying this, Sengoku handed the two printed wanted posters to Aokiji.

Aokiji looked at the faces on the wanted posters, his expression serious, scratched his head, and said directly:

”I didn’t expect even that big shot to show up this time.”

”But I think the real target this time should be that Straw Hat boy.”

Hearing this, Sengoku nodded.

”That’s right, this person’s name is Monkey D. Luffy, and he’s the captain of a new pirate group.”

”In just two or three days, he wiped out the largest pirate group in the East Blue, the Krieg Pirates.”

”And the Super Pirate who unknown when infiltrated East Blue, the Arlong Pirates, Arlong’s group.”
