One-Eyed Monster

Kadi shrugged. Asking him about plans was pointless; he’d never made them before.

However, Stan Sol was unaware of this and continued to press for an answer.

Yuga chuckled. ”Sol, I think it’s better if we discuss this amongst ourselves.”

”Yes, that’s right,” Kuren quickly chimed in.

They didn’t want Kadi’s mood to be affected, but Stan Sol was oblivious, which led to the current situation.

The Fire Tree Silver Flower continued to intensify its luminescence—a feat credited to Kadi. Probably no one knew he possessed this unique capability. The shared Spirit Vision also allowed the others to understand their current predicament: the enemy’s telepathic attack was incredibly strong. Although they were resisting in ways they excelled at, it would be challenging to handle such telepathic attacks unless they experienced a major breakthrough or advancement.

No matter how fast Kevin’s sword was, in his current state, he couldn’t possibly sever thoughts. By the time one could sever thoughts, this level of telepathic attack would be insignificant. Therefore, even though they now understood the entire situation, they couldn’t change it because they still had no way to break through this isolation layer.

The Dark Force’s telepathic attack had completely isolated them. It hadn’t chosen a group attack but rather opted to divide and conquer. Everyone was isolated from each other. It might seem like they were all together, but on a spiritual level, they were already far, far apart. So far apart it was immeasurable...

Kadi, as if under some Wizard’s enchantment, began to speak at length about the Dark Force’s attack patterns. These seniors weren’t ignorant of such matters. However, people tend to overthink when faced with danger. They had never imagined telepathic attacks could be so potent, generally perceiving them as flashy but impractical. This was especially true for Fighters who excelled at close combat; they often looked down on Wizards who flaunted their Spellcrafts. For these close-combatants, all they needed was to get close to deliver a fatal blow, while Spellcraft required preparation, making it seem overly complicated. To these Fighters, telepathic attacks were just another form of Spellcraft.

Kadi shared all the information he had obtained through the Fire Tree Silver Flower. He was now unsure how many people could communicate with him; after all, everyone here was on this one tree. The moment their Spirit Vision connected, it was as if a burning flame erupted from everyone. The sensation was intense. If it could be visualized, it would undoubtedly be a spectacular sight. However, Kadi wasn’t concerned about this. He only wanted to know how many people could establish contact with him.

The few who could, like Kuren and Stan Sol, had already established good communication with Kadi. Kadi even answered Stan Sol’s question with uncharacteristic seriousness.

”My plan is to save everyone.”

When Kadi said this, Kuren and Yuga were incredulous. Although the plan was somewhat vague, for Kadi, who never made plans, presenting one at all was significant progress.

”But...” Stan Sol was also taken aback; after all, he had been asking this question for some time. Previously, both Yuga and Kuren had urged him not to press further. He hadn’t understood why at the time, but as events unfolded, he gradually realized Kadi wasn’t one for making plans. Perhaps it was a rush of blood to the head, or perhaps the excitement of seeing hope, that made Stan Sol completely lose his usual composure and caution, leading him to ask such an unsophisticated question.

They now understood one thing clearly: the entire tree was Kadi, not just its roots. This discovery was actually quite crucial. It made them realize something: Kadi was the truly gifted one. His existence gave them a chance to connect with each other. So, Kadi was now a tree, and they were merely leaves on its branches...

Actually, after Stan Sol had asked that rather crude question earlier, a slight stir had occurred in their hearts. This stir was an idea they had, but they weren’t sure if it could be implemented. They wanted to establish an Inner World. An Inner World vast enough for everyone to enter. Once inside this Inner World, everyone would be able to communicate.

Kuren and the others’ idea was quite original, inspired by Kadi, of course. It was only because of Kadi’s unique state that they could even attempt to create this Inner World; otherwise, they could only stare blankly at each other. Among them, Kuren and Stan Sol were capable of creating an Inner World. Although Yuga was an Awakened and a Sage of Six Elements, he was still a novice regarding the Inner World, having only just encountered the concept, and couldn’t yet use it skillfully.

However, Yuga possessed rich experience and relatively abundant Spirit Power. His assistance in a supportive role would undoubtedly be significant. They felt the conditions were now ripe, but they didn’t know if the Dark Force would unleash a major move later. Although both sides were currently in a standoff, there was no guarantee one side wouldn’t start gathering power for a major attack.

Although they couldn’t be sure if their counterattack would be effective, they understood the principle of striking first. Even if the effect wasn’t very significant, surprising the opponent and thereby delaying their plan’s progress would be a worthwhile outcome. If they could disrupt the enemy’s rhythm this way, it would be even more remarkable. Kuren and the others stopped considering the consequences. They had reached this point, an opportunity Kadi had fought for. Not cherishing it would be truly letting Kadi down...

”My heavens!” Kadi suddenly exclaimed, his voice so loud that Kuren and the others found it a bit jarring.

Before they could figure out what was going on with Kadi, he started rambling again. ”Your plan is brilliant! I think it can work! If everyone can communicate this way, my heavens, wouldn’t we have achieved our goal?”

This statement astounded Kuren and the others. They had only been mulling over this plan and hadn’t mentioned a single word of it to Kadi. Yet now, Kadi spoke as if he knew it like the back of his hand. What on earth was going on?

”I say let’s do it!” Kadi continued, ”Let’s hurry and give it a try. We might just succeed, you know!”

His words left Kuren and the others utterly astonished.

This...

This is something that should only happen in an Inner World! Could it be that Kadi has created an Inner World?

”Let’s do it then,” Kadi said. ”I’ll continue to be the medium for you all. You guys keep up the hard work.”
