Omega Summoner

“All transactions that Lady Goldenclaw is referring to are from my personal transactions with the guild. I believe that it is written in Article 3 Section 7 and that we can in fact do these dealings as long as it is the money from our own pockets being used to procure the items. They do not need to be documented in the merchant guild ledger as they are personal transactions under our name as individuals and not branch leaders.” Piggy Bank stated.

“What Branch Leader Piggy Bank said is correct. If you were to criticize him for exercising this rule under own set of laws, then maybe Lady Goldenclaw would also like to explain the ones under your name as well. If that is all the evidence that has been submitted for the embezzling accusation against Branch Leader Piggy Bank, then he is to be declared cleared of the accusations.” The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild stated.

“That does not excuse the fact that he has sent assassins to kill Branch Master Peterson. The investigation team that also came to his branch are now infected with some sort of curse that might or might not be due to his dealings with dark elves. I can even say that the dark elves themselves were the ones that killed Branch Master Peterson.” One of the branch leaders suddenly shouted as if he was ready for that script.

“I did not even know why Branch Master Peterson was killed. I would like to know why he was killed, and the blame is being pinned to me.” Piggy Bank stated.

“Liar! You know what you did! You knew that he was the one that accused you and you sent assassins to kill him.” Another branch leader shouted.

“If that is the case then we can all go to Avalon and have the dark elves summon his soul to hear who killed him. The Court of Death can summon the soul of a deceased loved one at least once if they were killed in a wrongful manner. This can also serve as a way for the deceased to let go of any worries they left and pass onto the afterlife.” Piggy Bank calmly answered which suddenly made the crowd go silent.

“The problem is that even his spirit did not pass onto the afterlife. I have hired Spiritualist to check on his wandering spirit while we recovered his body, and they said that he has yet to be at peace. This makes sense if Branch Leader Piggy Bank hired some dark elves to kill him! There are marks of foul death magic being used on his body! It is obvious that you also did something to his soul as the churches where his body was blessed told us that his soul is not at peace!” Lady Goldenclaw stated to rile up the crowd once more.

“As I stated before, I can bring some dark elves here that are elders of the Church of Death to look at the late Branch Master Peterson’s body. With them checking it, they might be able to trace back and even summon his soul back to his body for the last time.” Piggy Bank reiterated his point.

“This is getting nowhere but those bodyguards that Lady Goldenclaw have are not even getting checked. They all came in with hoods that hid their faces and body while Piggy Bank and even High Wizard Dore had to be checked out and be told to always show their face. I guess even rules will be bent for those that are higher in power.” Adrian thought as he observing the people on Lady Goldenclaw’s side.

Adrian could still use Inspect to check their stats and names but there was a veil that prevented him from checking their information. He tried using Inspect on other people and it worked as expected. Only Lady Goldenclaw and her bodyguards were being protected from being inspected by the skill. He knew that there are beings that have charms that prevented the use of appraisal skills but a merchant hiding their status is basically untrustworthy.

“Use the last resort as this is now going on for too long.” Adrian told Piggy Bank via the chat as they were now arguing for a solid half hour.

“If no one believes me then I can prove my innocence by calling upon the God of Wealth Plutus as my witness.” Piggy Bank stated as he showed them his insignia that was given by the God of Wealth Plutus himself.

The rowdy merchants suddenly had their mouths shut as they felt the powerful divine energy inside the insignia that Piggy Bank has. This was the first time that he showed off the insignia of the God of Wealth Plutus as he never wanted to use this. There are very few beings in the merchant guild that are blessed by a god. One of them is the Grand Merchant Leader himself which is why he is the leader of the merchant guild as he was blessed by the God of Merchants Hermes.

“Is that insignia true, Branch Leader Piggy Bank?!” The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild asked.

“It is true, and you can even have the priests we invited to check for divine power if you want to.” Piggy Bank stated with confidence.

It did not take long for the invited priests to gather around Piggy Bank and checked the insignia. All of them could only exclaim in shock as they felt the divine energy from it. It was a powerful divine energy that blessed those that have it with wealth. It was not just wealth in terms of money but also wealth in terms of health. This is one of the reasons why Piggy Bank does not have the backlash of a merchant’s body that usual players have.

“The insignia is real. He is indeed blessed by the God of Wealth Plutus according to the priests.” The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild stated in shock and also in great jubilee as another merchant has been blessed. Continue your journey on My Virtual Library Empire
