Chapter 2397: Against the Primordial Beast of Greed I

”Who is he shouting at?” Levin Cloud thought as Siwang Shizhe shouted at the sky.

Siwang Shizhe kept on shouting to the point that he no longer paid attention to the black wolf that vanished. Both of his powerful Jiangshi became alert, but they were unable to detect Adrian. Siwang Shizhe cared too late that his undead were on high alert as a large wolf ten times the size came out of the shadow dimension to destroy him.

Adrian activated Realm Ender and used all of the nether energy stacks possible. To make it sublte, he already activated Siriusʼ domain earlier which is why he has been creating illusions of himself. The illusions were so real that the jiangshis thought that he popped out to another area. Still, the jiangshis were not as susceptible to illusions which is why they recover in just a few seconds.

A few seconds is what Adrian needs though as he came out of the shadow dimension and slashed at Siwang Shizhe. Adrianʼs large claws that are covered in both nether and shadow energy created a powerful wave of shadow spikes that reached up to the formation barrier. Siwang Shizhe got swept up in the attack and got sent flying towards the barrier as well.

[You have killed Siwang Shizhe.]

[You have killed a notorious villain of the Eastern Continent.]

[You have gained +10 Base Reputation for the Eastern Continent.]

[All beings in the eastern continent will no longer be wary or afraid of you in your first encounter with them.]

[You have gained experience points.]

Siwang Shizhe could be seen pinned to the barrier with his body parts sliced in different pieces while also having dark flaming shadow spikes coming out of it. Adrian reverted back to his original self as Sirius is sent back to the Soul Chamber for rest. He also managed to damage the formation somewhat as the combination of nether energy and shadow energy is very destructive with the support of Siriusʼ domain.

”A demon!” The Immortals stated as they have seen Adrian in his original form.

The black wolf was actually a demon in disguise, but the Immortals did not approach him. The two jiangshis created by Siwang Shizhe is still moving but their strength could be seen to have decreased. The greed flared up in some of the Immortals as they were suddenly just handed up a very high-grade puppet. The Immortals looked at each other to see if anyone wants to contend with them in capturing the weakened jiangshis.

”Do not dare touching what is mine!” A voice suddenly reverberated as an oppressive force suddenly came down from above.

Adrian looked around but the source of the voice is clearly not in the formation. The voice must have come from the Primordial Beast of Greed, but it seems that it did not appear inside. Adrian smiled as he suddenly found something that he could use to lure the enemy inside without having to release much effort.

”Anyone that can give me those two undead will be gifted an unbound teleportation scroll as a reward. Pay no attention to the owner of that voice as that is all it could do. It can only threaten us but not act against us since it could not enter this formation on its own.” Adrian suddenly announced as he redirected the greed of the Immortals yet again.

The Immortals looked at each other and then charged towards the two jiangshis. The two jiangshis are nice puppets but the only way to fully utilize it is by becoming a corpse cultivator. In their hands, these two jiangshis are just puppets that could buy them time. If they get destroyed, then they do not have the means to restore them back to full power.

”Creepysooʼs birthday is coming up and he always said that he wanted rare undead as gifts instead of something in the real world.” Adrian thought as he planned to gift these two undead to Creepysoo since he did a great job of protecting the Gnome Kingdom with Hexy.

”Will you really give us those scrolls?” One of the injured Immortals asked.

”Of course, why did you think I came in person and disguised myself when the scroll I have those two nobles are for sale. Did you really think that they will sell the scroll without my permission?” Adrian stated as he mixed truths with convenient lies to solidify the capture operation of the two jiangshis.

”Yes! That is true!” Levin Cloud replied but his tone was not that believable.

Fortunately, Adrianʼs presence itself was enough for the Immortals to believe it. They could feel the thick spatial energy coming out from Adrian. He made sure that the Immortals could feel his energy because they must sense it to add another layer of believability. He usually suppresses his energy but this time he made sure to let some of it free.

”You dare go against my words!” The voice of the Primordial Beast of Greed shouted as he utilized the energy that he is supplying to the formation to create a hand.

The large hand formed instantly but it also comes at a cost because the formationʼs stability decreased. Adrian smiled upon seeing the formation becoming unstable as he could use this chance to decipher it. Adrian used his special eyes to see into the structure of the formation itself as he planned to do something.

The giant hand that is descending towards the Immortals were all attacked by them. The attacks of the Immortals pushed the hand back by a few inches as that thing is trying to get the things they needed for the trade. The greed of the Immortals peaked as there was a chance to get three unbound teleportation scrolls on the line.

”Push the hand back! If we do not attack all at once, then we will not be getting any scroll at all.” One of the Immortals shouted and all of them agreed with her.

All of the Immortals attacked with great power as their greed actually helped them synchronized their attacks. An emotion that should have been a bad thing is suddenly something that tied them all together. The Primordial Beast of Greed did not expect this as his energy hand got pushed back.

”Pathetic fools!” The Primordial Beast of Greed shouted as he pumped more energy into the hand which finally weakened the formation further despite the warnings of the Grand Formation Master beside him.

”Full Reversal!” Kabrakan shouted as he in his flying armor bashed against the energy hand.

Kabrakanʼs armor could be seen cracking as he and the energy hand clashed head on against each other. Even with his armor forming cracks, Kabrakanʼs ferocity started to flare up as he gets more of it when he gets more damaged. A faint red aura could be seen on Kabrakanʼs body as he pushed back the energy hand completely.

The energy hand that was slamming down towards them is suddenly sent flying up. The energy hand crashed towards the formation barrier which created a crack. Adrian suddenly smiled as he deciphered everything because the weakened formation barrier gave him more information than he realized.

Adrian took into action as he released numerous mana paper around him as he took out an enchanted pen. He suddenly looked possessed as he wrote intricate lines of runes and symbols on the mana paper. As soon as Adrian was finished with writing, the mana paper suddenly activated and shot out towards the sky. A magic circle suddenly appeared on top of the sky which glowed in a powerful golden color.

The Grand Formation Master Keisei suddenly felt his entire formation being breached by something, but he did not know what. The formationʼs ownership was still him but there was something that activated inside of it that he could not counter. All of a sudden, a golden magic circle appeared on the catalyst that he is using.

”Master!” Grand Formation Master Keisei shouted but he was too late.

Both Grand Formation Master Keisei and Branch Leader Goldenclaw are suddenly tagged by numerous runes, and they vanished from the area they are located. The catalyst also vanished as it was taken by Grand Formation Master Keisei. If he did not do so, then the formation applied on Kunlun would not have continued.

The golden magic circle produced a sharp sound as two beings suddenly came out of them. Grand Formation Master Keisei and Branch Leader Goldenclaw suddenly found themselves inside of the formation that they are maintaining. A smiling demon could be seen looking at them while the Immortals that caught the two jiangshis are in disbelief. Any further doubts about Adrian are erased as he transferred two people inside a formation where space cannot be easily manipulated.

”Charon! Welcome our guests!” Adrian commanded as his face looked excited as he took out his bow and fired numerous arrows towards the enemies that have just arrived. Branch Leader Goldenclaw used his yellow aura to destroy the arrows.
