Not Being a Trainer This Time

Hoenn Region, Sootopolis City.

The gentle patter of rain fell from the sky, passed through the volcano’s crater, and landed on the stone streets at the town center.

The Sootopolis Gym is situated within this city inside the volcano.

It is said that long ago, an underwater volcano erupted, then emerged above the sea.

The crater in the center of the land formed a lake due to accumulated rainwater.

Soon, people discovered the climate here was very warm, suitable for living, and thus, Sootopolis City was built inside the crater.

To find the two lost Treasure Pearls, Steven specially came to this city to seek the help of his friend Wallace.

However, it was at this time that he received information about the two Treasure Pearls.

At this moment, inside Wallace’s private residence.

Staring at the reply on the screen, Steven fell into a long silence.

”A rancher?” Wallace, who had witnessed everything, spoke with surprise in his voice, showing an intrigued expression on his face: ”It’s quite an interesting matter.”

Steven: ”...”

Indeed! He never expected that the Treasure Pearls would travel overnight from the Hoenn Region all the way to the distant Paldea Region, a hint of coincidence in the absurdity.

Those three Pokemon, Teddiursa, Zapdos, and that pink little cat Pokemon.

Last night, Steven specifically looked up relevant information and finally found that the Pokemon might very well be the Mythical Pokemon Mew.

That mysterious stranger number 1 not only captured Zapdos, but also captured Mew, such an extremely rare Pokemon.

Steven found it hard to imagine that the person who accomplished these feats was a rancher.

It’s not that he looked down upon the profession of a rancher, but because in his impression, no rancher...

Could ever capture Pokemon as rare as Mew and Zapdos.

”In that case, you don’t have to worry anymore.” Wallace displayed an elegant smile: ”In any case, Team Magma and Team Aqua would never think that the two Treasure Pearls have already been transferred to the Paldea Region.”

Upon mentioning this matter, Steven couldn’t help but feel relieved.

During this period, he had researched many ancient texts and materials, knowing full well how terrifying a disaster the awakening of the two Super Ancient Pokemon would bring to the Hoenn Region.

Such an event had also occurred a thousand years ago.

At that time, if it weren’t for the Sky God Rayquaza appearing from the clouds and stopping their conflict, the entire Hoenn Region might have been destroyed.

After that, humans living in the Hoenn Region built the Sky Pillar for Rayquaza.

Thinking of this, Steven replied: [I’ll leave it to you then.]

And quickly came a reply from the other side.

[Wing King: No problem, once things settle, you can head directly to Naoki Ranch in Porto Marinada Town, Paldea Region to pick them up.]

[Steven: Alright.]

Seeing the reply from the other side, Wallace chuckled softly: ”Naoki Ranch... It’s getting more and more intriguing! I’d really like to see with my own eyes what the rancher who captured Legendary Pokemon is like.”

Steven calmly thought: ”Let’s wait until all matters in the Hoenn Region are settled first.”

Even though the Treasure Pearls are gone, Team Magma and Team Aqua have now obtained the precise locations of Groudon and Kyogre.

They might very well abandon using the Treasure Pearls to awaken them and instead use forceful means to awaken the two Super Ancient Pokemon.

After pondering for a moment, Steven used Poke Communications to hold a remote video conference with all the Gym Leaders in the Hoenn Region.

Once everyone was gathered, this Hoenn Champion sternly commanded:

”Next, I will head to Groudon’s resting place to stop Team Magma’s plans, while Wallace will go to the deep sea to capture Team Aqua.

If we fail, I ask you all to organize citizens to evacuate early.

The Weather Institute will monitor the movements of the two Super Ancient Pokemon, and if they awaken, we’ll need your assistance then.”

”Understood!”

”Got it!”

”Understood!”

”...”

Each Gym Leader responded, stating they would fulfill the duties of a Gym Leader.

A short video conference came to an end.

Steven then turned his gaze to his friend, nodding towards him: ”I’ll leave the Kyogre matter to you.”

Wallace maintained a graceful smile on his face: ”Understood, our Champion, sir~”

Steven: ”...”

Everyone in the Hoenn Region began to take action.

Meanwhile, at the ranch.

Naoki was chatting with Teddiursa about Mewtwo and those Cloned Pokemon.

”Don’t worry! Mewtwo and the others have settled down at the World Tree, and the Explorer Team Guild and other facilities are completed. You’ll be amazed the next time you come back!” Naoki said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Mew and Teddiursa, who were a bit worried, were immediately relieved.

”Does Mewtwo like the World Tree?” Mew asked.

”Probably likes it?” Naoki recalled Mewtwo’s behavior in recent days.

He initially wanted to tell this to Mew but suddenly remembered something, snapped his fingers, and said: ”Oh, right, Mewtwo also has a Rotom Phone now, I’ll send you its number so you can add it as a friend.”

Saying that, Naoki switched to the background, shared Mewtwo’s Poke account.

Hearing this news, Mew and Teddiursa both showed delighted expressions.

They couldn’t wait to add Mewtwo as a friend!
