Inside Takigakure, a man with light blue hair and three subordinates appeared.

”Kid, move it. Don’t try any tricks, or we’ll gouge out your eyes right now,” one of the subordinates shoved the bound Itachi Uchiha.

Itachi showed no resistance, merely following them.

However, a keen observer would notice his eyes constantly scanning his surroundings, memorizing everything.

”Suien, why did you bring a Konoha ninja back? What’s going on?” a middle-aged man hurried towards them.

He had a square face and sharp eyes, bearing a striking resemblance to the acting clan head, Shibuki, from the original story.

Suien’s subordinates’ expressions changed upon seeing the man. Suien’s face darkened, but before he could speak, the middle-aged man exclaimed,

”Suien, are you mad? That child has the Uchiha clan crest! Are you trying to steal his Sharingan?!” The man’s face was ashen.

”Release him immediately! Remember, we have diplomatic relations with Konoha. If the Hokage finds out we captured one of their ninjas, we’ll face the wrath of a great power!”

”All our efforts to recover these past years will be wasted!”

His furious shout echoed through the air. Suien’s subordinates hesitated.

Shibuki was right; Takigakure’s strength had been significantly weakened after Kakuzu’s attack, reduced to a low-tier village.

Another conflict with Konoha, especially if they sent one of the Sannin or Minato Namikaze, would be disastrous.

Suien’s face was grim, his hawk-like eyes fixed on Shibuki.

”Clan Head, you haven’t changed. Takigakure has been dormant for too long, and the outside world has lost respect for us.”

”Don’t forget, we were given a tailed beast by the First Hokage.

Now, the Five Kage Summit is being held, even Amegakure is supposedly invited, and the Land of Iron is hosting it.”

”And Takigakure is stuck in this corner, ignored by everyone. Your stagnant thinking is pushing Takigakure into the abyss!”

Slap!

A sharp sound echoed as Suien’s cheek burned.

He glared at Shibuki, unyielding. ”Excellent. The Five Great Nations are holding a summit because of the Konoha renegade, the Blood-Colored Asura.”

”They’re preoccupied. Konoha won’t have time to deal with us.

Once we obtain the Sharingan, we can awaken the Seven-Tails, use the Hero Water, and with our elite forces, we can stand shoulder to shoulder with the Five Great Nations.”

”Once that happens, even if Konoha reacts, what can they do?

I’ve secretly formed an alliance with powerful Kage-level shinobi to prepare for the worst.”

Seeing Suien’s crazed expression, Itachi finally understood why he was targeted.

Since Madara Uchiha had used the Mangekyō Sharingan to control the Nine-Tails and fought Hashirama Senju to the death, the entire shinobi world had coveted the Uchiha’s Sharingan.

However, the Mangekyō Sharingan was rare among the Uchiha.

After repeated failures, villages had stopped targeting ordinary Uchiha members, instead focusing on elites and prodigies, like Danzō.

Itachi, with Kai’s help, awakened the three-tomoe Sharingan at the age of seven, causing a sensation throughout the shinobi world.

Such a prodigy would normally be carefully nurtured and only sent on dangerous missions after reaching twelve or thirteen.

Suien’s reaction to encountering Itachi was one of elation; he saw it as a gift from the heavens.

He believed obtaining the three-tomoe Sharingan and awakening the ability to control tailed beasts, combined with Takigakure’s legendary Hero Water, would elevate his strength to the top tier of the shinobi world.

He might even stand alongside the Five Kage, leading Takigakure into a six-Kage era.

Fueled by this ambition, Suien had captured Itachi, leaving his subordinates behind.

Slap!

Another sharp slap shattered Suien’s dreams. Shibuki, furious, pointed at Suien. ”You attacked Konoha’s ninja and colluded with others! Do you even respect me as clan head? The Hero Water is only used in times of life-or-death crisis! You have no right to know its location! What if you attract the Blood-Colored Asura?!”

”If you still consider me clan head, release him immediately and apologize to Konoha!”

His furious roar filled the air.

But as Shibuki finished speaking, Itachi’s expression changed.

”Careful!”

Shibuki froze, sensing death approaching. He tried to escape, but...

Pshhh!

Blood sprayed as Suien’s kunai, driven by a ruthless expression, pierced Shibuki’s abdomen.

Shibuki, eyes wide with disbelief, stumbled back, clutching his wound.

”Clan Head, save your words for the afterlife. I will lead Takigakure now,” Suien withdrew the kunai, licking the blood from the blade.

”The Blood-Colored Asura is preoccupied with the Five Kage Summit and won’t have time for us.

Even if he comes, with my powerful allies, the tailed beast, and the Hero Water, can he really conquer my village?”
