My Werewolf System

Chapter 1235: Where Is The Danger?

The body that was on the ground, there was fresh blood on the floor. Only part of it had dried up, making it mean it was quite recent, so both Lou and the others were quickly looking around the area, to see if there was anyone else.

When they noticed no one and their maskʼs picked up no one, he had quickly dragged the body on the floor and headed into part of the heavy greenery, he placed the body on the floor and then turned it over, and a short while later the other three had come over.

”It was what I thought.” One of the Altered hunters said.

”Yeah, itʼs Pluto.” Lou confirmed.

He was the only five star hunter that was with them, and the person who had gone up ahead to scout the area. They were meant to clear the Werewolves of guards that would make it so they were on high alert.

The thing was, if the situation seemed troublesome or there was someone that Pluto couldnʼt handle on his own, he was meant to come back with the entire team to clear the Garden area.

There was always a high chance that there would be someone that was out of their league, or a high concentration of Lupus gang members. Yet this was the result.

”Who could have got him, is it these Ironfangʼs that were in the report, what if they moved from their gardens and decided to occupy the space?”

”Thatʼs a possibility.” Lou answered. ”But thereʼs something that just isnʼt right with this whole situation. Lou is not just a five star hunter heʼs an incredibly strong one as well.”

Due to Lou being a part of the Dark Guild in the past, he also knew how to use something called Qi. This made him a force to be reckoned with just with his fist alone, but he also could do the same thing with his weapons.

A talented person that almost had a body of an Altered without being one. Many who were higher star ranked knew of this fact. If Pluto ran into any type of werewolves he should have been able to at least get away.

To run and fight back at the same time, and this was where the second biggest issue was.

”Did you see what it looked like out there?” Lou asked. ”Did you notice anything off?”

”What do you mean, oh right, didnʼt Pluto come ahead with another, but thereʼs no other body just his, well that and the Werewolves he had taken out on the way here.”

Lou shook his head.

”Not that, Iʼm talking about the scene where we found his body. A five star hunter, whoever took him out had to be strong as well, and if that did happen, then shouldnʼt the scene have looked completely different, shouldnʼt there have been some signs of fighting. Broken ground, torn treeʼs anything.

”It didnʼt look like a fight scene. Thereʼs only two options, either someone managed to sneak up on Pluto and take him out instantly before he could do anything, or whoever it was he faced, was so overwhelmingly powerful that they were able to put him in that state with ease.”

Thinking of things this way made everyone worry deeply. They knew that there was strength to these Ironfang members they needed to watch out for, but this much difference between the five star hunters and them, that just seemed impossible. Where they doing a mission were they were for sure going to fail?

Had the Altered hunters bitten off more then they could chew going up against one of the kings.

”There is a third option right, where we found his body, also isnʼt the place where they fought?”

That was certainly a possibility, but they werenʼt too far behind from Pluto he would have been ahead of the group by fifteen minutes maximum. So if they did fight where, and if the Garden wasnʼt a mess was it outside.

ʼCould that really have happened, for them to fight outside, and then what bring the body in, but why that makes no sense?ʼ

While the group were in the middle of their thoughts they all heard rustling. They turned around activating their maskʼs to see if they could see anyone and their were two heat signatures coming right at them.

”Calm down you lot!” Lou said. ”Those heat signatures canʼt you tell, there not Altered, there humans.”

The fact that they were traveling through the greenery and not the path, meant they werenʼt some regular customers who had overstayed either, but he wondered, did the Altered hunters break command and enter inside on their own.

”Itʼs good to see that there are some faces here afterall.” A voice said. It was a womanʼs more natural curvature body that had entered. Stepping to the side she lifted a large leaf, and allowed for one of the older hunters to walk in.

These were the two heat signatures.

”Cooper, and Joy!” Lou immediately said bowing his head.

Hearing Lou say these names, the other Altered hunters bowed their heads as well. For Cooper was one of the most respected Altered hunters due to his history and time he had served with them. Joy was infamous due to always being by his side.

”Itʼs good to see more hunters actually make it into Ruin city.” Cooper said. ”Edvard did say that backup was coming, but I was afraid that you would be stopped before coming in.”

”Yeah, but I did think there would be more of them.” Joy commented.

”There are more of us.” An altered hunter said. ”They are stationed outside, waiting for us to make sure to get information on the place before they come in.”

Immediately both Joy and Cooper looked at each other.

”You came from the main entrance…you have to tell them to come in immediately, otherwise they will all die!” Cooper said.
