My Talent Skill Mutated

“The Celestial Race!”

With a sweep of his Divine Thought, Chen Yu identified the auras of the two figures outside his villa.

Not Human, but Celestial!

One of them, he had even met before.

The leader from the Life Court incident, a Tier Four Celestial God.

Back then, he hadn’t known the man’s name, but now he did. This Tier Four Celestial was an elder of the Celestial Race.

Yuan Chen!

As for the other member of the Celestial Race, Chen Yu had never seen him before. However, judging by his aura, this was also a Celestial Race Venerable.

His cultivation was at the True God Perfection of Tier One, yet his aura seemed a fraction more terrifying than even a Tier Two or Tier Three True God.

‘Strange, what do they want with me?’ Chen Yu wondered. He didn’t dwell on it, however. He rose to his feet, and with a single step, he was at the door.

Since they had come looking for him, he would naturally meet them.

At his Ascension to Godhood Ceremony, the Celestial Race had also sent a True God to offer congratulations.

Despite their past conflicts, he didn’t harbor any major enmity toward the Celestial Race.

If he could avoid offending them, he would.

But if a confrontation was unavoidable, he would never back down!

Still, it was strange to have visitors seek him out so soon after his arrival.

At the villa’s entrance, Chen Yu’s gaze fell upon the two Celestial Race Venerables.

“May I ask what business brings you two fellow Daoists to see me?”

Yuan Chen looked at Chen Yu, a smile spreading across his face. “It’s been a short while, Fellow Daoist Chen, and you’ve already improved further. Congratulations.”

‘This old fox, what is he planning?’ Chen Yu’s expression grew serious.

“Allow me to introduce you. This is the Divine Child of my Celestial Race, Taixu,” Yuan Chen said.

Chen Yu’s gaze shifted to this Celestial Venerable, Taixu.

As their eyes met, he thought he could feel a palpable battle intent.

“You must be Chen Yu? I’ve heard much about you. I won’t beat around the bush; I’ve come to have a spar with you.”

‘A spar with me?!’

Chen Yu stared at the Celestial Race’s Divine Child, utterly stunned.

‘Are you insane?’

‘I just fucking got here, and you want to spar with me?’

‘Do we even know each other?’

‘Could this be some kind of conspiracy?’

As the thoughts flashed through his mind, Chen Yu instantly became wary.

He wasn’t concerned about a Tier One True God. Even if this one felt special, with an aura a sliver stronger than a typical Tier Three True God, he still wasn’t worried.

Anything that could threaten him had to be at least a Tier Four True God or higher.

He didn’t even sense much of a threat from Yuan Chen.

“Fellow Daoist Taixu, I don’t believe we’ve met. I’m not one for sparring. You should find someone else,” Chen Yu said, then turned to leave.

A spar.

‘Spar my ass!’

‘Does he think I’m just sitting around with nothing to do?’

“Are you a coward, or are you just scared?” Taixu challenged, a powerful battle intent erupting from him and locking onto Chen Yu.

Feeling his aura locked down, Chen Yu stopped in his tracks. He turned to face the two Celestial Race Venerables.

“Fellow Daoist Yuan, you bring your Divine Child here to find me… What? Do you think I’m an easy target?”

Chen Yu’s face darkened, his gaze turning icy.

Hearing this, Yuan Chen chuckled. “Fellow Daoist Chen Yu, don’t misunderstand. It is merely a spar.”

“And if you are willing to fight, we can offer a wager.”

As he spoke, Yuan Chen opened his hand, revealing a brilliant Divine Origin in his palm.

A Tier Two Divine Origin.

Within the Divine Origin was a vast and powerful Law of Fire.

Seeing the revealed Divine Origin, Chen Yu’s eyes lit up.

The Divine Origin itself wasn’t important for increasing his Divine Power, but the Law contained within it was crucial.

A single, pure Law.

There was a high probability that this could help him cultivate his eighth Law.

‘But such a huge stake, just for a spar?’

‘The Celestial Race is definitely up to something.’

“What’s wrong? Is the Human Race Venerable’s courage so small?” Taixu’s voice rang out, his gaze fixed on Chen Yu, his face dripping with sarcasm as if deliberately trying to provoke him.

“If you can defeat me, I can increase the wager.”

As he spoke, Taixu opened his hand, and a second Divine Origin appeared.

It also contained a single Law of Fire, and it too was a Tier Two Divine Origin.

‘What the hell is this guy up to?’

Chen Yu felt that something was very wrong.

‘No one who cultivates to the level of a Venerable is a reckless brute. Every effect has a cause. This guy definitely has an ulterior motive.’

But he couldn’t figure out what that motive was.

‘Could it be that the Celestial Race wants to use this spar as a pretext to kill me?’

‘But with just a peak Tier One?’

‘Even if his aura feels special, more dangerous than a Tier Three True God, that’s still not enough power.’

‘Or… does he have absolute confidence that he can win?!’

As for his own current strength, even Wu Wudi could only tell that he had cultivated Seven Laws. But the power of his Divine Power and Laws was something that even an existence like Wu Wudi couldn’t fully comprehend.

Of this, Chen Yu was confident.

Unless he revealed it himself.

‘It might be reasonable for him to be this confident if he’s unaware of my true strength.’

‘Still, something about this just felt… off.’

‘To put up two Tier Two Divine Origins containing pure Laws of Fire just for a spar…’

‘If he isn’t crazy, then this is definitely a conspiracy.’

‘Are they trying to cut me down before I’m fully fledged?’

‘But this is the Azure Sky World, and Wu Wudi is still here.’

‘To kill me, a Great Emperor would have to come in person.’

“Since our friend from the Celestial Race wishes to spar, then my Human Race shall naturally oblige.”

Just then, a voice rang out. With a flash of Divine Light, Wu Wudi’s figure appeared before them.

Chen Yu: “…”

‘Wait, I haven’t even agreed yet, and you already accepted for me?’

Staring at Wu Wudi, Chen Yu was rendered speechless.

“Good! Then it’s settled. We’ll test our skills after the Ascension to Godhood Ceremony.”

Taixu decisively agreed.

Chen Yu: “…”

‘Holy hell, could you two maybe ask for the opinion of the person actually involved?’

Looking at this Taixu Divine Child, Chen Yu fought back the urge to slap him across the face, but in the end, he didn’t object.

Wu Wudi had already agreed, so he certainly wasn’t going to embarrass him by refusing.

He was the number one Venerable of the Human Race, second only to the Great Emperor.

‘Since he’s already said so, what choice do I have?’

‘Might as well fight!’

When it came to a fight, he, Chen Yu, had never been afraid.

“What do you think, Fellow Daoist Chen?” Yuan Chen asked, looking at Chen Yu with a beaming smile.

Chen Yu glanced at Wu Wudi, then back at the two Celestials, and nodded lightly. “Since Fellow Daoist Taixu is so eager for a spar, then I shall risk life and limb to accompany you.”

“Excellent. See you after the Ascension to Godhood Ceremony!”

Taixu spoke, and after bowing to Wu Wudi, his figure vanished. Yuan Chen smiled, also bowed to Wu Wudi, and then disappeared as well.

Watching the two disappear, Chen Yu turned his gaze to Wu Wudi.

“Senior, care to explain?”

“Let’s talk inside,” Wu Wudi said, walking toward Chen Yu’s villa.

Chen Yu followed him into the villa.

The two sat on the sofa. Wu Wudi looked at Chen Yu and asked, “Do you know about the Celestial Race’s Divine Children?”

Chen Yu nodded. “Yes, I’ve heard of them. It seems there’s more than one.”

Wu Wudi began to explain, “The Celestial Race rotates its Divine Children every five hundred years. In each five-hundred-year period, there are a total of three Divine Children. They are the absolute elite of the Celestial Race. You could say that all of them have the potential to become a Great Emperor!”

“Although not every Divine Child succeeds in becoming a Great Emperor, even those who don’t will achieve a level of power no less than my own in the future.”

“The current First Divine Child has already reached the strength of a Tier Eight True God.”

“The Second Divine Child has reached Tier Seven True God.”

“And this Taixu Divine Child is a recent addition, as well as the youngest of them.”

“Okay, but what does any of this have to do with him wanting to spar with me?” Chen Yu asked Wu Wudi, looking completely baffled.
