Chapter 446: Chapter 203: The Empress’s Plea for Help

Dawn broke.

As the Godhood Ascension Ceremony concluded, the supreme beings of the various Alien Races departed from the Ancestor Star.

In the Capital City, inside a villa, Chen Yu sat on the sofa, looking at the Angel Empress.

“I wonder what matter the Empress wished to see me about?”

The Angel Empress was about to leave the Ancestor Star, yet she insisted on meeting Chen Yu before her departure.

Since the leader of the Angel Race wanted to see him, Chen Yu naturally had to grant her this courtesy.

The Empress looked at Chen Yu, a faint smile playing on her lips. “You and he… you’re really so similar.”

Chen Yu: “…”

The Angel Empress’s opening words left Chen Yu momentarily speechless.

Chen Yu knew exactly who the “he” she spoke of was: the Great Emperor of the Angel Race.

He was a contemporary of the Firmament Emperor.

‘So similar to him!’

Chen Yu knew this.

However, Chen Yu had no interest in being someone’s shadow. He was himself, Chen Yu, the one and only!

“Is the Empress referring to the Great Emperor?” Chen Yu asked, looking at her.

Although he understood, he couldn’t just say it so bluntly.

He had to show the Empress respect. Most importantly, her power was even more terrifying than Wu Wudi’s!

The Angel Empress nodded lightly. “Seeing you, for a moment I thought he had returned.”

Chen Yu was baffled.

‘Seriously? You sought me out just for this?’

‘Is this woman planning on forcing herself on me?’

Chen Yu was instantly on guard.

The Angel Empress was stunningly beautiful, with looks that could topple nations, but he had zero interest in this woman.

Mainly, the Empress’s power was too immense. This “delicate flower” was gorgeous, but she was also incredibly thorny.

One wrong move, and she might devour him, leaving not even the bones behind.

Now that he had become a True God, beauty was no longer that important in Chen Yu’s eyes.

“If the Empress has something to say, please be direct.”

Chen Yu said after a moment of silence.

The Empress watched him for a long time before she finally spoke slowly, “I’ve sought you out today because I have a favor to ask.”

‘A favor? From me?’

‘With her power, why would she need to ask me for anything?’

Chen Yu was stunned. Looking at the Empress, he felt completely bewildered.

He couldn’t quite make sense of what she was saying.

Thoughts raced through Chen Yu’s mind, but he quickly calmed himself and asked, “May I ask what the Empress needs of me?”

“I need your help with something you possess,” the Empress said.

‘Something I possess…’

‘The Celestial Demon Blade?!’

Hearing the Empress’s words, Chen Yu immediately had a guess.

If anything he possessed could possibly attract a True God Peak, it would undoubtedly be his Innate Emperor’s Weapon.

He couldn’t think of anything else that would prompt the Empress to make such a request.

“I wonder what it is that the Empress needs?” Although he had already figured it out, Chen Yu decided to play dumb.

The Empress gave him a profound look, her bright eyes seeming to pierce right through him.

After a long moment, the Empress finally said, “I won’t beat around the bush. To be blunt, I need the help of your Innate Emperor’s Weapon.”

‘As I thought…’

Hearing the Angel Empress’s words, Chen Yu’s heart still couldn’t help but skip a beat.

‘She wants to borrow my Emperor’s Weapon!’

Given the relationship between the Angel Race and the Human Race, this was a difficult request to refuse.

And with the Empress herself asking in person, it was even harder to decline.

But a supreme treasure like the Celestial Demon Blade was no ordinary weapon.

Even with the Angel Race, who were on good terms with the Human Race, Chen Yu had to be wary.

“Does Fellow Daoist Chen perhaps have some difficulty with this?” the Empress asked, breaking the silence as she looked at him.

Before Chen Yu could even respond, the Empress spoke again. “I’m not just looking to borrow the Emperor’s Weapon. I’d also like to borrow your help, Fellow Daoist.”

‘She doesn’t just want the treasure, she wants the person too!’

But Chen Yu couldn’t understand. With the Empress’s level of power, what could she possibly need his help for?

“Could the Empress please elaborate?” Chen Yu asked.

He had to get a clear answer.

Even if their relationship was good, he couldn’t just agree without knowing the details.

If something went wrong, he could very well end up dead.

“This matter concerns a certain spatio-temporal location of my race, so I cannot speak of it plainly. However, please rest assured, Fellow Daoist Chen. There is absolutely no mortal danger. We simply need to borrow the power of the Emperor’s Weapon to resolve a small problem,” the Empress said slowly.

Hearing this, Chen Yu’s brows furrowed deeply.

After a moment of thought, he looked at the Empress. “Since the Empress requires my assistance, I will naturally not refuse.”

She had put it in a way that made it truly impossible for him to refuse.

If he didn’t grant her this favor, their future relationship would become strained.

It wouldn’t matter on a personal level, but he also had to consider the Human Race.

After all, the Angel Race held immense influence in the Celestial River Star System, and their power was substantial.

With a different status comes different considerations.

Besides, she had previously given him a Cosmic Divine Medicine as a congratulatory gift. To accept her gift and then immediately refuse her request… well, he was a True God of the Human Race. While he could be shameless at times, when the leader of the Angel Race herself made a request, he still had to maintain some dignity.

Seeing Chen Yu nod in agreement, a smile blossomed on the Empress’s face. She then rose, and as she opened her slender, jade-like hand, a brilliant ball of light coalesced in her palm.

“Since you’ve agreed, Fellow Daoist, I will not treat you unfairly. Take this Divine Origin as a thank-you gift.”

the Empress said, a radiant smile on her face.

!!!

‘Divine Origin!’

Chen Yu’s heart lurched. He stared at the Divine Origin the Empress had produced, his face a mask of disbelief.

‘Damn, she just pulls out a Divine Origin right off the bat!’

‘Isn’t this thank-you gift a bit too generous?!’

And it was the Divine Origin of a Tier Two True God! More importantly, the Law within it was perfectly preserved.

Normally, when a True God is slain, their Law shatters and dissipates. To kill a True God and preserve their Law intact requires a level of power so far superior that it’s an absolute steamroll.

With the Empress’s power, achieving such a feat was surely no difficult task.

While Chen Yu was still stunned, the Divine Origin of the Tier Two True God landed in his hand.

Chen Yu snapped back to reality. Looking at the Divine Origin in his palm, besides disbelief, he also felt an immense, formless pressure.

For the Empress to offer a Divine Origin as payment for his help, the “small problem” she mentioned was likely anything but simple.

“Fellow Daoist, this gift…”

“It is what you deserve, Fellow Daoist.” Just as Chen Yu was about to speak, the Empress cut him off.

Hearing this, Chen Yu said no more.

‘Fine, I’ll take it. What’s there to be afraid of?!’

This Divine Origin would definitely allow his strength to reach a whole new level.

‘Since this opportunity has been handed to me on a silver platter, there’s no reason to refuse it.’

‘I have to help her anyway, and it’s not like I’m getting it for free. It’s only natural that I accept.’

Putting away the Divine Origin, Chen Yu looked at the Empress. “Empress, when do we set out?”

The Empress smiled faintly. “There’s no rush. I need to return and make some preparations. It might take a few years. When the time comes, I will notify you, Fellow Daoist.”

With that, the Empress took out a golden Token and handed it to Chen Yu.

“This is my race’s Angel Space-Time Token. When preparations are complete, I will send you a message through this Token. At that time, you need only crush the Token, and you will be transported directly to the Angel Race.”

Hearing this, Chen Yu looked at the golden Token. To be able to travel directly from the Ancestor Star to the Angel Race, crossing thousands of light-years in an instant… ‘Holy hell,’ he thought, ‘this is some seriously incredible stuff.’

“Alright, then I shall await your message, Fellow Daoist,” Chen Yu said, accepting the Token.

The Empress smiled faintly. “In that case, thank you in advance, Fellow Daoist. I should be going now.”

After she spoke, the Empress walked out of the villa. Seeing this, Chen Yu followed her out.
