My Talent Skill Mutated

The amplification from his Force Field was several times greater than before!

Meanwhile, his Force Field’s defense and creation capabilities had also improved by leaps and bounds.

Hah...

Chen Yu let out a slow breath and opened his eyes.

[Congratulations! The Skill has been upgraded to max level. You have gained 30 Skill Points.]

[Golden Legendary Skill has reached max level. Gained 50 bonus Skill Points.]

A line of faint text appeared before Chen Yu’s eyes.

’Eighty Skill Points...’

As he read the text, Chen Yu’s eyes lit up.

’I had twenty Skill Points before, and with these eighty, that’s exactly one hundred.’

’One hundred Skill Points... that should be enough to awaken my Biological Force Field...’

Chen Yu was thrilled, but he calmed himself. With a mere thought, another line of text appeared before his eyes.

[Skill: Biological Force Field (MAX) is at max level. Awakening requires 200 Skill Points!]

”What the—?”

Chen Yu froze, staring at the notification that had appeared before him.

Two hundred Skill Points!

’So I got all worked up for nothing!’

His heart clenched as he stared at the notification.

Two hundred Skill Points... that was four times what it took to awaken Divine Speed Power.

One was fifty points, the other two hundred!

’What a rip-off...’

Chen Yu’s face fell. It was as if a bucket of cold water had been dumped on his earlier excitement.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Yu focused his thoughts, and another message appeared.

’If I can’t awaken the Biological Force Field, I’ll awaken Divine Speed Power instead.’

’Either way, I have to awaken something today.’

[Consume 50 Skill Points to awaken the Skill (Divine Speed Power)?]

A notification appeared before his eyes.

’Yes!’

Without a moment’s hesitation, Chen Yu confirmed his choice.

RUMBLE!!!

A strange sensation coursed through his body. Instantly, within the Chaos, the orb of light representing the Divine Speed Power began to expand rapidly.

In a flash, it swelled to several times its original size, standing out starkly against the other orbs of light.

After expanding at extreme speed, it reached its zenith and then suddenly collapsed, transforming into a platinum orb of light that shone like a star.

[Awakening successful. Skill has broken its limit—God-Speed!]

A line of faint text appeared before Chen Yu’s eyes.

’God-Speed...’

Chen Yu came back to his senses as he read the information displayed before him.

With a thought, the Skill’s details promptly appeared before his eyes.

[Skill: God-Speed! (Awakened: Mythical Level 1) Possess the speed of a deity, traverse the universe, and transcend time. Create a divine Force Field. Not even time can restrain your body. Among the stars of the cosmos, you shall be the fastest of all...]

’Traverse the universe, transcend time...’

Chen Yu’s heart pounded as he read the description. ’This looks incredible!’

’When speed reaches its peak, not even time can hold you back...’

’I wonder... just how fast can I go now...’ Chen Yu thought.

His body felt lighter than ever before.

’Before awakening, my top speed was Mach 20,000. What is it now?’

’They’re both still unconscious. Good, I can go out for a test run.’

Chen Yu sensed the two people still unconscious in the bedroom. Then, with a flicker of faint light, his figure vanished without a trace.

...

「Hai City. The Wilds.」

Chen Yu stood atop a large mountain, looking down over its expanse.

’I’ll use this mountain to test my speed.’

”Sophie, can you record my speed?” Chen Yu asked.

”I can, Master. Sophie can record speeds even beyond the speed of light,” came Sophie’s voice from the metal bracelet.

Hearing this, Chen Yu felt reassured.

He relaxed his muscles. Deep within him, in the Chaos, the platinum orb of the Divine Speed Power stirred, eager to be unleashed.

With a single thought, in the next instant, Chen Yu vanished from his spot like a wisp of smoke.

In less than the blink of an eye, Chen Yu was back where he started.

A weightless Force Field enveloped his body.

The divine Force Field!

It allowed him to maintain extreme speeds without any adverse effects.

In the blink of an eye, Chen Yu had already run a full lap around the entire mountain.

His speed was unimaginably fast!

”What was my speed?” Chen Yu asked eagerly.

’The recording bracelet maxes out at Mach 100,000, but it went off the charts. That means my speed has already surpassed Mach 100,000!’

”Master, your speed was Mach 200,000. That’s nearly a quarter of the speed of light!”

Sophie’s voice rang out.

Mach 200,000!

A thrill shot through Chen Yu, and joy flooded his heart.

A single awakening had boosted his speed from Mach 20,000 all the way to Mach 200,000.

At this speed, he was practically invincible against anyone less than a True God!

The combination of ultimate power and speed would be terrifying!

Gazing up at the blue sky, Chen Yu felt a wave of satisfaction wash over him.

’This awakening was well worth it!’

Mach 200,000!

’The speed of light is just over Mach 880,000. I’m at a quarter of that.’

’In other words, my current speed is already a quarter of a True God’s speed!’

’A quarter of a True God’s speed!’

’If I get another upgrade, I might be able to match the speed of light, or even surpass it!’

’With the speed of light, I’ll at least be able to run away from a True God.’

’Of course, whether I can actually escape is another matter entirely.’

’The speed of light is just the baseline for a True God. In reality, they’re probably even faster.’

’That kind of divine speed is no different from teleportation.’

’Still, I’ve only just awakened God-Speed. The potential for growth is enormous.’

’Surpassing the speed of light isn’t just a dream!’

ZAP—!

With a flash of cyan light, Chen Yu vanished from the clifftop. Moments later, he was back in the villa.

A speed of Mach 200,000 couldn’t compare to a True God, but below that level, there were absolutely few who could keep up with him.
