america was very angry after receiving the video.

but there wasn’t much they could do.

the person had to be redeemed, but as for sending someone to rescue, they had never considered this option.

after two battles were fought, america managed to collect some information. their previous failure to attack the city was simply due to their carelessness and lack of preparation. they had no anti-aircraft weapons, and the quality of the tribal soldiers was too poor.

so, their complete defeat by the opponent’s rocket launchers was really no one else’s fault, just their tactical mistake.

but the failure of the green berets wasn’t a matter of tactics. both sides were special forces, and one being captured alive only meant a complete overpowering in terms of sheer strength.

otherwise, in such a level of combat, it’s impossible to deliberately go easy.

that would have been suicidal.

the failure of the green berets also made america realize the gap in equipment between the two sides.

the gap in individual strength wasn’t huge, as everyone was special forces and not from small countries lacking resources. the difference in training wasn’t much.

this capture was entirely due to a gap in equipment.

at that time, their special department had no information about the single-soldier exoskeleton armor developed by crimson corporation, in terms of performance and indicators, they were completely in the dark, knowing nothing and only able to guess.

not just the exoskeletons, but also other equipment from crimson was unknown to the special department.

even the patrol missiles and mechanical dogs previously sold to the middle east were different from those on the current battlefield, obviously upgraded versions.

or rather, these were the real versions for their use, the previous ones being export versions with a huge gap in performance.

in summary, it boiled down to one sentence.

they, america, had been completely overwhelmed by equipment.

this was very frustrating.

in the past, they had relied on weapons to overwhelm their enemies, but now they were being overwhelmed by equipment, which was extremely frustrating.

of course, they wouldn’t just admit defeat.

after all, these people had been fighting wars all the time and had a wealth of

experience.

after a day’s discussion, they had found crimson’s weakness.

it was their numbers.

at most, they only had two battalions of troops, one of which was not even full, only able to operate as special combat squads. the other, although a full mechanized armored battalion, could only stay together and not disperse.

but they were different.

not to mention tribal armed forces, just the mercenaries sent by military contractors numbered over 24,000.

in previous operations, most of these mercenaries had not participated in combat, so their losses in terms of manpower were not significant.

with this in mind, they decided to change the plan. the idea of total annihilation had been put aside.

the opponent clearly had strong reconnaissance capabilities.

their movements couldn’t be hidden from the opponent.

so, what they had to do next was to exploit the crimson’s lack of manpower and engage in battles of many against few.

what defined military strategy?

it’s about overpowering the weak; playing to your strengths and attacking the enemy’s weaknesses.

in this respect, you had to admit america had always done well, always following this approach.

the next day, at the united nations meeting, america proposed to withdraw the peacekeeping forces from the borders of sudan and south sudan. this proposal made everyone look towards their country’s representative.

as a result, the chinese cast a vote in favor.

withdrawing the peacekeeping forces meant no more concerns, and the real battle between the two sides was set to begin.

everyone knew this wasn’t a battle between sudan and south sudan. this was a battle between the class monitor and the study committee member. except, on the surface, it was a battle between a security company and over a hundred military contractors.

after the parliamentary session, han shu and tang rui had received the news.

well…

this was going to be a big deal.

“tang, old jia is here, i’ll go out to meet him.

“okay.”

no need to think; the old merchant’s visit was definitely about something important, probably related to the upcoming battle.

what was originally an internal struggle had now been escalated by america. additionally, it was not just america that took action.

china had also made a move.

half an hour later, han shu came back and again spoke in the holographic projection meeting room.

“what did old merchant say?”

“he didn’t say anything unnecessary, just that he would fully support, including command of the military. they even took out all their assets, wanting to purchase weapons.”

han shu said with a somewhat complicated expression.

the original minor scuffle had now escalated, with the outcome of the war directly affecting the fate of a country.

this situation indeed put more pressure on him.

“just that in half an hour?” tang rui was a bit puzzled.

“there was another call from home.

“what did they say?”

“the number of personnel on both sides must not increase. our crimson has fewer people, but the sudanese army is large.

“they have more mercenaries, but south sudan’s army is small, so everyone will maintain this number, not increasing.

“besides, weapon support is allowed, as long as nuclear and biochemical weapons are not used, all conventional weapons are on the table.”

“we’re at a bit of a disadvantage with this rule,” tang rui said, frowning.

“not a disadvantage, we can directly counterattack and push forward,” han shu said nonchalantly.

they had previously been hesitant to go all out.

now there was no issue.

just push straight forward.

when he was talking with old jia earlier, he had said one thing.

they recognized there was only one sudan.

south sudan?

it didn’t exist.

“so when do we start?”

“once the peacekeeping forces have completely withdrawn.”

“alright, then i’ll go back and prepare some small stuff. we need to have momentum when pushing forward.”

“good, i also need to organize the sudanese army; get some of them to coordinate with us.”

after the two had finished talking, they hung up the video call. tang rui left the blue army command hall and returned to the lab. “red lotus, display the blueprint for the large-scale battlefield fire support robot.”

“okay, master.”

whoosh!

in front of tang rui, appeared a flat, crab-like robot. this was something he had thought of while developing mechanical dogs, a fire support platform.

but at that time, developing mechanical dogs was for the middle eastern order. it wasn’t meant to make the middle easterners take off directly.

so, he hadn’t brought out this platform, keeping it in the data library.

the design of this platform was actually not done.

it was just his attempt at battlefield fire support due to insufficient firepower. the crab-like robot in front of him was larger than a heavy main battle tank. the overall size was equivalent to a heavy truck.

the size and other aspects were manageable.

tang rui’s idea at that time was to turn this thing into a weapons robot, like a gunship.

two triple-barreled anti-air heavy machine guns could be used for anti-air, anti-missile, and direct infantry engagement.

these two heavy machine guns would carry 100,000 rounds of ammunition, taking up half of the ammunition storage.

the rest would be equipped with a small rate-of-fire gun and a 64-launch missile rack on the back platform, carrying 300 shells and 320 small missiles. although there were only three types of weapons, the firepower was absolutely no problem.

if fully unleashed, it could regurgitate its entire supply of ammunition in eight minutes.

but as it turned out, whether at sea or on land, the concept of a weapons ship was very problematic.

once this thing was hit or exploded, it would produce a very spectacular fireworks show.

the key was, that this thing couldn’t move on its own. if it moved with the team, it was easy to send teammates to their doom.

so, tang rui had thought about it and decided to improve the weapon system, not to load so much ammunition.

directly switch to electromagnetic or laser weapons.

through this, as long as there was energy, its firepower was unlimited.

this eliminateed the trouble of logistical support. friendly forces didn’t have to worry about it exploding and taking their own people with it..
