My Items Have an Upgrade Panel

Chapter 39
multi-drone coordination intelligence program

arriving at the rented factory, tang rui walked around the entire factory twice, thinking about how to renovate it.

originally, this place was a repair shop.

inside the entire factory, except for the supporting beams, there were no walls.

he wanted to transform this place into a research institute, so it would definitely need a redesign.

he hadn’t studied architectural design, but he had spent time in the school laboratory.

he could certainly figure it out by following the same principles.

besides, this place wasn’t his property, and he wasn’t researching any cutting-edge technology.

so the laboratory didn’t need to be too fancy.

he could make do with something that met his needs.

after walking around twice, he already had some ideas in his mind.

next, he drove and visited several renovation companies.

he took them each on a tour of the factory and then stated his requirements.

among them, two companies tried to overcharge him with exorbitant quotes.

one company quoted a price that was too low, and with such a short timeframe, he didn’t dare to use them.

in the end, he chose one from the remaining three companies after repeated discussions.

the project was set to take half a month, with all materials included, and they allowed third-party inspections.

after signing the contract, tang rui paid 60% of the project cost, and he wouldn’t have to worry about the rest.

he would settle the remaining 40% after completion and acceptance.

back at home, tang rui wasn’t in a rush to hire people online. he had initially thought that renovating the factory would be quick, but it turned out he had to wait for half a month.

now there was no need to rush to hire people; he could wait until next week.

with nothing else to do, he took out the materials he had purchased earlier and started making the fire-fighting drone.

he should have done it long ago, but he had been busy and delayed it until now.

however, making these fire-fighting drones was straightforward.

first, he cut the aluminum alloy plates, rolled them into a cylinder, and then welded them.

tang rui’s welding skills weren’t top-notch, but he was still skilled. after all, he was a craftsman.

although the welded result looked rough, it didn’t matter.

he used a grinding wheel to smooth out the rough welding lines, and later on, he would apply a coating; no one would notice.

once the drone body was completed, he installed all the various components.

this step was a bit troublesome.

there were no pre-set mounting slots on the drone body, so he had to solder the circuit boards and other components himself.

moreover, the internal space of the drone body was small, making it a bit tricky to work on.

tang rui was drenched in sweat, but he finally managed to install all the components.

the funniest part was the nose of the drone.

it was just a spherical surveillance camera stuck at the front of the body.

it looked funny and cute.

with this step completed, the next task was to install the motors, batteries, and propellers at the tail of the drone.

there was nothing much to say about it; just fit them in, secure them, and weld the mounting brackets onto the body.

then comes the final step.

attach the two large and two small wings, which wasn’t technically difficult at all.

four aluminum alloy rectangular bars connect to the flight control motors inside the body.

before launching, the wings could be folded in.

after launching, the wings open up directly.

to adjust the direction, simply adjust the angle of the wings.

though it lacked agility, it made up for it with its simple structure and low cost.

as he imported the system data and closed the wire interfaces, a faint light flashed.

[item: patrol drone]

[experience: 0/500]

[origin points: 9.1 (can be reinforced)]

looking at the information on the system panel, tang rui couldn’t help but sneer.

the system was clueless.

how could it be called a patrol drone?

this was clearly a firefighting drone.

however, he didn’t expect that creating a firefighting drone would only earn him 0.5 origin points.

it was only 0.4 origin points more than an ordinary model aircraft.

but the difficulty in manufacturing had increased significantly.

it was not worth it. whatever. he wouldn’t think about this for now. let’s try the firefighting drone’s functions.

he opened the operating system and connected to the drone.

the screen appeared on the computer monitor.

however, the resolution of this display makes him frown. he was used to 4k resolution, but this was 720p.

this made him uncomfortable.

but you get what you pay for. considering the lens he had bought for just over 200 yuan and the lack of image optimization algorithms, having this resolution was already good.

he continued to test the flight control, especially the steering rudder.

the steering motor started, and aluminum alloy wings began to move.

not bad.

the engine motor started as well.

vroom, vroom…

the propeller at the tail of the drone started to spin.

it was indeed a 150 yuan motor. it sounded rather good.

then turned off the motor to test the radar.

‘what the heck is this?’

tang rui looked frustrated. it was too bare-bones, and the photoelectric system was completely inadequate.

should he upgrade the configuration further?

no, the configuration couldn’t be improved. so, he would have to figure something out in other areas.

optical equipment was relatively straightforward. with image optimization algorithms, he could create a simplified version, package it, and load it onto the drone to meet the requirements.

the radar system was a bit tricky. how could he improve the radar system’s performance without upgrading the configuration?

“celia, collect information on the springblade knife and witnesser.”

“collection completed.”

tang rui leaned back on the sofa and started reading the information on these two types of patrol drones. although they were just online information, it was enough for him.

he didn’t need actual data; he needed inspiration.

after reading for a while, he actually found a direction. this direction was one of the future developments of patrol drones.

simply put, the cost of patrol drones could keep increasing, but the demand for performance wasgrowing. in this situation, multi-drone collaboration was the best solution for performance improvement.

for example, out of ten patrol drones, two could be equipped with terrain detection systems, two with synthetic aperture radars, two with high-magnification zoom cameras, two with high-security communication devices, and the remaining two can carry extra explosives.

through multi-drone collaboration, data was shared and connected in real-time, allowing all ten patrol drones to have access to all the functionalities of the installed equipment.

this way, the cost remained low, but the capabilities were comprehensive.

however, that was just one of the future development directions, and there were many challenges to overcome. the most difficult aspect to tackle was the intelligent data allocation and multi-drone coordinated operations, which was an algorithm problem.

but tang rui wasn’t worried about this as he could easily write a simple multi-drone coordination and data allocation program by himself. then he could reinforce it using the system panel.

with this approach, not only would the radar issue be solved, but he could also add more features to the firefighting drone.

with this in mind, tang rui began writing the program.

two hours later, a crude program with some bugs was completed by him.

he imported the program into the firefighting drone.

strengthening software – 1 origin point.

he continued the enhancement.

specialized enhancement for multi-drone coordination intelligence program – 2 origin points.

a total of three origin points were consumed.

the multi-drone coordination intelligence program was now ready.

he downloaded this program into the subconscious learning machine, preparing to study it later in the evening.

next, he would modify the firefighting drone and load more features into it.
