My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

246: Four-star Red DragonShi Li was quite looking forward to the Star Ascension of the red dragon beast master card to four stars.

He always felt that at three stars, it still had a lot of potential to be unearthed.

The current attributes far from reflected its true value.

After all, this was a Dragon-type Unique Character Card.

Just look at the strength of Red Blade Maiden, another Unique Character Card with the Dragon-type tag, and you’d know.

Let’s first see what changes the four-star red dragon beast master card has.

red dragon beast master

Rampage, 100 points, Four-Star Attack 100, 350/350

[Crimson Lotus - Characteristic]: red dragon beast master gains 1 hand card [Dragon Flame] for every 100 points → 30% of its maximum health lost.

Dragon Flame]

[Giant - Passive]: red dragon beast master occupies 3 card slots, maximum health +250

[Beast Master’s Prestige - Passive]: When red dragon beast master attacks Beast-type cards, it applies the [Fear] effect. [Bathed in Flames - Passive]: red dragon beast master is immune to Fire-type effects and damage, and gains an equal amount of [Healing] to the total damage of [Dragon Flame].

[Hellfire Breath - 100 points → 30% max health]: red dragon beast master attacks 1 target, causing it to gain 10 points of [Burning].

points of [Burning]

[Crimson Blaze Soaring - 50% max health]: red dragon beast master doubles the damage of [Dragon Flame] this turn (Burning: Continuously takes damage that cannot be reduced starting next turn, stackable).

[Dragon Flame]: Deals 10 damage to all non-fire-born revealed cards on the field. ”Hmm----”

The effect of this card’s four-Star Ascension still didn’t reach the strength Shi Li had imagined.

However, that doesn’t mean it’s not strong.

First, it’s strange that the [Characteristic] was slightly weakened.

Because 30% of 350 health points is 105 points.

Before, it only needed 100 points to trigger.

Don’t underestimate the difference of 5 points; in reality, 100 points and 105 points are quite different, equivalent to crossing the 100-point threshold.

point threshold.

However, it’s only 5 points, which is still acceptable.

Then, [Hellfire Breath] is a similar situation, changing from a 100 health point cost to 105 points.

However, [Crimson Blaze Soaring] is a very good skill.

Assuming a PVE card game, where both sides have 9+1 cards fully deployed, and all cards except red dragon beast master are non-fire and non-giant revealed cards.

Then the total number of cards would be 10+7=17.

So, playing one [Dragon Flame] hand card would deal 170 points of damage.

Doubling that would be 340 points.

This output is very considerable.

However, considering that this hand card affects both allies and enemies, one cannot solely look at the output.

Additionally, the active skill [Crimson Blaze Soaring] must be viewed in conjunction with the passive attribute [Bathed in Flames].

Doubled output means red dragon beast master’s Recovery amount will also double.

A Recovery amount of 340 points almost reaches its maximum health.

Of course, in a PVP card game, such a large amount would not be possible.

Because [Dragon Flame] only hits revealed cards, and it’s basically impossible for 17 revealed cards to exist simultaneously on a PVP card table.

So the amount will be much smaller.

”Let’s look at the effect of the innate hand card.”

[Crimson Lotus Annihilation]: This turn, you can play all [Dragon Flame] in your hand at once.

”Oh?!”

Upon the appearance of this card, Shi Li’s gaze changed.

Just as its name suggests, this card has a world-destroying effect.

Still assuming a PVE card game, with 17 cards on the field, one [Dragon Flame] can deal 170 points of damage.

If he holds 10 [Dragon Flame] cards, that’s a total output of 1700 points.

Excluding allied cards and only calculating the damage taken by the opponent, it could still reach 1000 points.

This is 1000 points of AOE, no joke.

Spread across each enemy card, that’s 100 points.

And don’t forget, red dragon beast master also has the active skill [Crimson Blaze Soaring].

Combined with it, 10 [Dragon Flame] can directly deal 2000 points, an average of 200 points of enemy damage.

”Combined with the innate hand card, this Star Ascension of red dragon beast master is extremely powerful.”

Shi Li finally felt relieved.

Even the super powerful enemies in scenarios like Hell Trial and Abyssal True Realm probably couldn’t withstand 10 [Dragon Flame] cards.

Who casually has 200 health?

He could immediately design a tactic specifically to support red dragon beast master.

Place damage-absorbing cards in the front as much as possible, desperately stalling for turns.

Then red dragon beast master acts as the ace card, with its health reaching 450 points.

Red Blade Maiden fiercely slashes red dragon beast master, one Crimson Blaze deals 130 damage.

Then Lotus Succubus sacrifices health, one whip can restore 55 health to it.

This means there’s still a deficit of 75 points per turn.

Two turns would be a 140-point deficit, and three turns would be a 215-point deficit.

Then, playing one [Dragon Flame], red dragon beast master can recover 170 health.

This means after three turns, there’s only a 45-point health deficit, which is merely 10% of its total health.

And in three turns, it would have taken 390 damage, nearly 4 [Dragon Flame] cards.

Even if we only count gaining 3 [Dragon Flame] cards in 3 turns, using 1 still leaves 2.

Of course, during this time, the health cost of Lotus Succubus’s skill must also be calculated, making the calculation more complex.

But even so, it’s not difficult for red dragon beast master to accumulate 6 [Dragon Flame] cards.

6 [Dragon Flame] cards, combined with [Crimson Blaze Soaring] + [Crimson Lotus Annihilation], can deal 120 single-target damage and 1200 total damage to the enemy.

This wave of AOE alone would be enough for the opponent to take a huge hit.

On their side, Red Blade Maiden can survive, Jumping Dragon Guard can survive if not placed in the front row, and the combined cloud mountain can also survive.

Even the Breaker can survive by covering one’s own card with Initiation Break Strike.

Coupled with a full-health ace card, red dragon beast master, clearing the opponent’s remaining formation would be effortless.

”Just with this set of tactics, I feel that reaching floor 30 in Abyssal True Realm and floor 10 in Hell Trial might not be difficult at all.”

level, it might not be difficult at all.”

”Even if red dragon beast master could intervene in other types of trials, it could greatly boost the progress of the Strategy.”

Shi Li suddenly got excited.

After all, red dragon beast master’s strength lies in its area-of-effect damage.

This is something his other cards do not possess.

Before, this AOE damage could only be described as a slight tickle.

But now, it has directly risen to a world-destroying level.

”This level of strength is truly befitting a four-star Red Dragon.”

However, Shi Li knew that his designed tactic still had flaws.

First, it was a race against the opponent.

Would red dragon beast master accumulate enough [Dragon Flame] cards to wipe out the opponent first, or would the opponent break through his defenses first?

Secondly, playing all [Dragon Flame] at once has weaknesses.

Its high-damage, multi-hit attacks can easily almost ignore the opponent’s Barrier.

But if the opponent has a mechanism like ”10 points Damage Reduction,” then it instantly fizzles out.

Each [Dragon Flame] deals 10 damage, so hitting ”10 points Damage Reduction” results in 0 damage.

Even if [Crimson Blaze Soaring] increases [Dragon Flame] damage to 20 points, the effect is greatly reduced, not reaching the point of instant kill.

If the opponent has many Damage Reduction cards, it will be difficult to deal widespread damage.

”But I’m content, after all, it’s only a four-star character card; there’s still room for improvement.”

Shi Li was very open-minded.

After completing the four-Star Ascension for all unique cards, his next consideration was the God Realm issue.

To continue ascending to five stars, the only way was through God Realm Points.

Otherwise, it would be too difficult to gather Star Ascension materials in reality.

And the huge refresh fees were also easier to earn in the God Realm.

However, he had been a bit tired lately, so Shi Li decided to relax a bit.

He returned to Durian City to get some good rest.

Doing nothing, just waiting for the call of the God Realm.

After about a month of rest, the call of the God Realm came again.

In this duel, Shi Li once again encountered the Canyon mode.

However, it was no longer 5V5, but 1V1.

This so-called 1V1 was not one character against one character.

Instead, it was five characters against five characters.

”Great, I’ve wanted to play like this for a long time.”

”Bringing four teammates is really a bit tiring.”

With Shi Li’s mental power, controlling five characters simultaneously was no problem at all.

Moreover, the character templates this time were different from last time.

So he began to choose which of his characters was suitable for which position.

First, Top Laner.

Top laners usually need to be tanky and also possess the ability to threaten the opponent’s backline.

So his choice was Red Blade Maiden.

Although Red Blade Maiden doesn’t have much Damage Reduction, it’s tanky enough and has self-Healing capabilities.

To get Damage Reduction, just stack armor or magic resistance with equipment.

Moreover, it possesses noble percentage [True Damage]; let alone the backline, once equipped, it can cut through the opponent’s front line like slicing vegetables.

It also has [Super Armor] and [Magic Immunity], and its ultimate is a liberation transformation.

It also has a small dash, which can shorten the distance when cutting the opponent’s backline.

And it comes with AOE; before resource team fights, as long as the equipment is formed and one AOE successfully hits two or three squishy enemies, the opponent probably won’t be in a good state to engage in a team fight.

It can be said to be almost a perfect top laner template.

The only drawback is the lack of crowd control, making it difficult to keep enemies locked down.

And although it has a small dash, because it’s a melee character and lacks terrain-crossing displacement, it’s ultimately considered relatively short-legged and easily kited by the opponent.

But it’s okay, this is a team mode, so teammates can compensate for the shortcomings.

For Jungler, this time he didn’t choose Lightning Flash, but Moonlight Werewolf.

Because this was a team he assembled himself, he didn’t have to bear the heavy burden of being the carry on a single character, unlike last time.

Moonlight Werewolf possesses very powerful versatility.

In this mode, opponents can read enemy character panels and skills.

But Moonlight Werewolf’s dense array of transformation effects would take opponents a considerable amount of time just to read and analyze.

Moreover, multiple transformation effects allow it to adapt to different situations.

For example, if the team needs a tank, it transforms into a Persistence Wolf.

For example, if encountering a solo fight in the jungle, it transforms into a Momentum or Rampage Wolf.

For example, when roaming and Ganking, it transforms into a Chasing Wind Wolf with crowd control and a dash.

As long as it casts its ultimate, it can transform.

As long as it returns to the fountain, it can cancel the transformation effect and switch to other effects.

Moreover, the Jungler position often requires running all over the map, which is also suitable for the Wandering-type Charge.

The drawback is that due to its varied forms, equipping it can be a bit troublesome.

If you build defensive items, even if you transform into a Momentum Wolf, your output ability won’t be strong.

If you build offensive items, transforming into a Persistence Wolf won’t be able to withstand much damage.

However, a team needs a jack-of-all-trades.

And before entering the duel, one cannot view the opponent’s character panel.

Moonlight Werewolf can largely circumvent this; it can enter the duel, clearly see the opponent’s character panel, and then decide which form to choose as its primary form.

For Mid Laner, Shi Li chose the long-ranged Demon-Defeating Dark Hunter, which possesses ranged attacks.

Mid laners are generally mages, and it’s a mage that counters mages, which is pretty awesome.

Additionally, its innate Magic Immunity gives it a high survival rate during laning and when being ganked.

Its advantage is continuous damage, and it often has an advantage during the laning phase.

Its disadvantage is the lack of burst damage.

It is suitable for poke-style play, pre-team fight kiting and attrition, and prolonged skirmish-style team fights.

If it’s a sudden burst one-shot team fight, it will be at a disadvantage.

Of course, once equipment comes online, Demon-Defeating Dark Hunter’s output will still be very high.

And the lack of burst can be compensated for by Red Blade Maiden to some extent.

For Marksman, this time Shi Li moved Lightning Flash to this position.

Lightning Flash itself has long range, making it very suitable for last-hitting minions.

And its efficiency in last-hitting is faster than Junglers, allowing it to stack its attack power more quickly.

A late-game core with hard crowd control, strong self-preservation, difficult to kill, while also dealing a large amount of damage.

For Support, it was Lotus Succubus.

No support is more appealing than a healer.

Moreover, it also has Defection, a hard crowd control, which is very useful when the opponent tries to dive the backline.

It can buy some time for one’s own backline.

This time is not for escaping, but for counter-killing.

You’re allowed to dive my backline, but I’m not allowed to have my backline kill the person trying to dive me?

Although Lotus Succubus has a drawback: it has no attack power whatsoever.

Attacks on enemies even help them heal.

But with such ample output on their side, there’s no need for a healer to supplement damage.

Just honestly hide in the backline and protect allies.

With the five characters confirmed, Shi Li did not click confirm.

Because he discovered that he still had more to offer.

Fennec Fox Girl could also participate in combat, and it didn’t count towards the character limit!

Fennec Fox Girl

[Stand Anywhere]: Fennec Fox Girl increases the number of allied characters deployed by 1.

[Small Animal]: Fennec Fox Girl cannot actively gain experience; her level automatically increases over time. [Listen to the Wind Sound]: Fennec Fox Girl’s Charge efficiency is increased. [Enemy Disturbance Scream]: Fennec Fox Girl targets 1 target, causing it to gain [Weakness].

[Demonstration Scream]: Fennec Fox Girl casts [Dispel] on 1 target.

The best part was that it wouldn’t steal any minion or jungle monster experience from teammates.

Although it had no attack power, it could cast skills to influence the battle.

And because its own value was not great, it could even block targeted skills for teammates.

When the duel officially began, and he deployed his Fennec Fox Girl, the opponent was dumbfounded.
