46: Complete [Dragon Burial Tomb]Don’t underestimate its 10 Health points; it could bring about a qualitative change.

Because the average attack power of cards is 30 points, 120 Health points can withstand exactly 4 attacks.

But if it’s 130 Health points, it would require 5 attacks to take it down.

Surviving one more round still has a significant impact on the battle.

Clicking on the card, Shi Li immediately saw the tasks he needed to complete.

The tasks were not unique; there were multiple options.

Option One:

Hunt 1 Raging Three-Star Demon

1 Raging Medium (Three-Star)

Success Rate: 100%

”I remember the Card Hall’s material library has Three-Star Raging Mediums for sale, but the price isn’t cheap.”

Shi Li rejected this option.

Because just that Three-Star Medium would cost tens of thousands of cubic coins.

It’s important to know that medium-type material cards have the highest drop rate and are one of the cheapest materials of the same star level.

Of course, if a Three-Star Mission Card were used, the mission might be even simpler.

However, Three-Star Mission Cards themselves are not cheap, and as a Two-Star card, Red Blade Maiden can currently only use Two-Star Mission Cards.

Option Two:

Hunt 1 Raging Three-Star Demon

3 Raging Mediums (Two-Star)

Success Rate: 71%

”Even three Two-Star medium-type material cards are much cheaper than a Three-Star one.

But the success rate is significantly lower.”

He continued to look further down.

Option Three:

Hunt 10 Raging Two-Star LV5 Demons

10 Raging Mediums (Two-Star)

Success Rate: 37%

”Indeed, trying to enhance a Three-Star Characteristic effect using only Two-Star material cards results in a rather unsightly low success rate.

But this is the power of Mission Cards; without it, no amount of Two-Star material cards could enhance a Three-Star Characteristic.

The market price of this Mission Card itself is probably well over 50,000 cubic coins.”

Shi Li, of course, was not in a hurry to make a decision, so he continued to look at the enhancement previews for the other two Characteristics.

Unceasing - Passive: Red Blade Maiden gains 10 Healing each round (No Enhancement Space)

”It seems that an unconditional 10 points of recovery per round is already the limit for this type of Characteristic or Two-Star Characteristic.

This also indicates that the materials Director Hou gave me were themselves of very high quality.”

Shi Li was not surprised by this.

He had read in books that only a very few special cases of this type of Characteristic could break the 10-point limit.

Other recovery-type passives with 20 or 30 points often required additional conditions.

Or, perhaps, this Mission Card was not sufficient to enhance this type of Characteristic.

He continued to look further down.

”Hmm?!”

When he saw the enhancement result for this Characteristic, Shi Li’s eyes lit up.

Crimson Blaze - 50 Health Points: Red Blade Maiden attacks 1 target, dealing 20% of the target’s maximum Health as damage → Fixed Damage

What is Fixed Damage? It is damage that can be dealt regardless of the opponent’s Defense or damage reduction.

To give a recent example, Fixed Damage can break through Fang Jinghai’s card’s Characteristic of ”single damage not exceeding 50 points”!

”I understand...”

For a moment, Shi Li felt he understood the principal’s intention.

The principal wanted him to enhance Crimson Blaze and then use it to challenge Fang Jinghai, right?

But when he saw the enhancement material options, he was completely stunned.

Option One:

Hunt 20 Raging Three-Star Demons

Hunt 40 Other-Type Three-Star Demons

1 Raging Medium (Three-Star)

Success Rate: 100%

The cost of enhancing Crimson Blaze was many times higher than that of Unceasing.

”The principal thinks too highly of me.”

He expressed some helplessness.

60 Three-Star Demons, where could he find so many!

Furthermore, even if he could find them, he couldn’t defeat them!

It felt like this was a task only a Platinum card player could complete.

However, Shi Li knew that even if he didn’t consider challenging Fang Jinghai, for future considerations, he absolutely had to enhance Crimson Blaze.

Because currently, Crimson Blaze is quite ineffective against damage reduction; the opponent’s Defense alone can negate a large amount of damage.

Continuing to look down, the difficulty of subsequent options decreased slightly, but the success rate also decreased.

Finally, his gaze fell on the option with the lowest difficulty and also the lowest success rate.

Option Four:

Hunt 10 Raging Three-Star Demons

Hunt 100 Raging Two-Star LV5 Demons

Hunt 200 Other-Type Two-Star LV5 Demons

3 Raging Mediums (Three-Star)

Success Rate: 19%

In terms of difficulty, it actually didn’t decrease much.

Because for Shi Li, 60 Three-Star Demons and 1 Three-Star Demon made no essential difference; he couldn’t defeat either.

However, the cost went up, from 1 Three-Star Raging Medium to 3.

And the success rate also decreased significantly.

As for the success rate, Shi Li was not worried.

Based on past experience, this result should also be refreshable.

”It seems that hunting Three-Star Demons and Three-Star material cards is ultimately unavoidable.

Even Two-Star LV5 Demons are not something I can deal with right now, and there are 300 of them; where would I find them?”

He took out his phone and re-checked the trial content Teacher Li had sent earlier.

The specific content of the Jiangnan University trial was Demon hunting.

Perhaps the principal had considered this point, which is why he gave this Mission Card.

”Forget it, I’ll continue to clear the Dragon Burial Ancient Tomb.”

Ultimately, he decided to deal with the immediate matters first.

He currently had 50,000 cubic coins, enough for 25 refreshes.

He didn’t believe he couldn’t complete this simulated mission.

He had to admit, he didn’t know if the Unique Character Card behind this mission would be stronger than Red Blade Maiden, but at least the mission difficulty was higher.

Or perhaps, when he was doing the Red Blade Maiden acquisition mission, he was luckier.

In short, he refreshed a total of 20 times from day to night.

When Shi Li himself could feel very tired from refreshing, feeling that if he clicked even one more time, the system would prompt him to rest, the turning point finally arrived.

”Roar!!!”

As the group of tomb raiders he controlled, combined with Red Blade Maiden, finally struck down the Ancient Tomb King’s Guard, it let out a deafening roar.

Then... the guy actually entered its third phase!

But before Shi Li could even clearly see the opponent’s card, he saw a huge beam of light suddenly spew from its mouth.

Wherever the beam of light reached, all his Character Cards turned into scattered light and drifted away.

”Plot kill?”

This left him bewildered.

He didn’t know what mechanism of the BOSS he had triggered to incur the penalty of a plot kill.

The next second, new text popped up.

You have completed this simulation. Completion rate is 100%.

”Hmm?”

Being plot-killed by the third-phase BOSS actually meant he cleared the mission?

So this was the correct solution!

”Hmm??”

However, when the settlement text popped up, he was even more bewildered.
