It was apparent that Ma Tiansheng’s entrance was the highlight of the evening, the undisputed center of attention.

He was, after all, the Second Young Master of the Ma Family, a direct lineage descendant of one of Hong Kong’s true affluent clans. The formidable Second Young Master! Men and women alike were willing to sacrifice anything, even their own dignity, if it meant getting close to him.

Therefore, when they saw the esteemed Second Young Master Ma personally invite an obscure, small-time actress to dance, a hint of jealousy flickered in the eyes of many women, their hearts filled with envy.

For these women in the entertainment circle, especially those with ’improper motives,’ youth and appearance were their greatest assets. They all dreamed of landing a wealthy husband and marrying into a powerful family, which would mean a life free of worries. Not to mention a ’top-quality’ young master like the Ma Family’s second son, who was a complete embodiment of status and identity! He was a real ’hot commodity,’ symbolizing a superiority that set him a cut above the rest. How could these obsessed women not gaze with longing? Snagging him was the stuff of their dreams.

But now, their ’perfect Prince Charming’ was taking the initiative to show interest in a young starlet, naturally filling them with intense envy.

”Young Master Ma?”

However, as soon as Gu Feishuang saw his face clearly, she immediately recalled that he was the dissolute young master who had once harbored improper thoughts toward her. Her pretty face paled, and her fair hand, which was holding Chen Fei’s arm, couldn’t help but tighten. She forced a smile and said, ”Sorry, Second Young Master Ma, I don’t know how to dance.”

Clearly, this was just an excuse. As a moderately famous actress in the industry, ballroom dancing was considered a fundamental social grace. How could she possibly not know how? No one would believe such a claim.

She didn’t know how? Upon hearing Gu Feishuang’s response, the crowd couldn’t help but freeze, their expressions turning strange. They never dreamed of such a thing. That was the Second Young Master of the Ma Family, one of Hong Kong’s Five Great Tycoon Families, yet a mere small-time actress from the mainland had just rejected him, publicly disrespecting him. Did Gu Feishuang no longer want a career in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry?

Although the Ma Family might not be a huge player in the entertainment world, their influence in any circle was nothing short of astonishing. Blacklisting a minor actress from the mainland would be a trivial matter for them, as easy as lifting a finger.

”You don’t know?” Ma Tiansheng’s expression darkened upon hearing her refusal. He spoke with clear displeasure, ”Perhaps I could teach you.”

”Sorry, Second Young Master Ma, maybe you should find someone else,” Gu Feishuang replied, her heart thumping wildly. She cast a helpless, panicked look toward Chen Fei. Although she was unaware of the man’s exact identity, tonight’s spectacle—seeing how even Wuu Guangbin, the heir to Global Entertainment, had to follow him around so carefully—was enough to prove how formidable his background was. He was certainly not someone a small actress like her could afford to offend. Right now, she was terrified.

”You dare to refuse me?” Ma Tiansheng finally grew angry. His face darkened as he spoke with cold arrogance, ”Let me inform you. My name is Ma Tiansheng, from the Ma Family, one of Hong Kong’s Five Great Noble Families! In Hong Kong, at least one-tenth of everything belongs to our Ma Family, and the current Clan Leader is my grandfather. Now, are you sure you still want to refuse me?”

His words were met with a wave of sharp, hissing gasps. After the initial shock, the eyes of many in the crowd filled with envy and jealousy. It couldn’t be helped. As one of the Five Great Noble Families of Hong Kong, ranked third no less, he definitely had the right to make such a ’boastful’ claim. In Hong Kong, about one-tenth of the city belonged to the Ma Family! This was true power and heritage.

At that moment, Ma Tiansheng was furious. In his own territory of Hong Kong, no one—let alone some minor celebrity—had ever dared to disrespect him like this by rejecting his invitation, his ’kindness’! And Gu Feishuang was just a newly famous actress from out of town. Any other time, a mere hint of his interest would have sent a swarm of beautiful starlets from entertainment companies large and small flocking to him, desperately trying to curry favor and establish some connection.

But now? A mere actress from the mainland dared to defy him and spurn his goodwill. It was preposterous!

Damn it! Me, Ma Tiansheng, even looking your way is a blessing you bitch couldn’t earn in several lifetimes! How dare you refuse me? Shamelessly rejecting my kindness! What does this mean? That you don’t take the Second Young Master of Hong Kong’s Ma Family seriously?

”Ma Tiansheng, you motherf—”

Seeing this, Chen Hao couldn’t help but want to throw off his hat and step forward to curse him out. This is Brother Fei’s ’woman’! How dare a worthless wastrel like you even think about touching her? Are you trying to get yourself killed?

However, before Chen Hao could even finish his sentence, Chen Fei suddenly reached out and stopped him. Then, with a flash in his eyes and a deadpan expression, Chen Fei looked up at the man and said coolly, ”Didn’t you hear Fei Shuang say she doesn’t want to dance with you? Why are you still standing here being shameless? Get lost. You’re an eyesore.”

His words cast an eerie silence over the venue. Many people’s eyes widened in shock. That guy actually dared to talk to Second Young Master Ma like that? Did he have a death wish?

”What did you say? You… dare… tell… me… to get lost?” Ma Tiansheng was clearly incandescent with rage. Staring at Chen Fei’s emotionless face, he spat out each word, his voice dangerously cold, as if he were suppressing an endless torrent of fury. He was the Second Young Master Ma of the Hong Kong Ma Family, revered and fawned over wherever he went. And now? An unknown stranger, a young man barely in his twenties, actually dared to tell him to get lost! This was outrageous! What gave him the audacity?

”So, you’re not going to get lost, is that it?”

The next moment, Chen Fei looked at him coldly before raising his hand. Having found the man insufferable from the start, he swung it fiercely across Ma Tiansheng’s face. ”Then I’ll teach you how to get lost!”

SMACK!

The slap was so forceful that it sent Ma Tiansheng flying. Most of his teeth were knocked out, and he landed in a crumpled, sorry heap as blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

HISS!

Instantly, the clubhouse fell deathly silent, the only sound being the collective, sharp intake of breath. Everyone from Wuu Guangbin and Qian Jin to Du Jincheng, and even Hu Yinglan, the top star of Huashu Media, stared in disbelief at Ma Tiansheng, who lay on the ground in a daze.

They simply couldn’t believe what they were seeing. That was Ma Tiansheng! The Second Young Master of the Hong Kong Ma Family! Someone in Hong Kong had actually dared to do this to him—to slap him so hard he went flying, and in front of so many people! And it was a young man who did it! This was absolutely insane.

Brother Fei… Gu Feishuang, still clinging to Chen Fei’s arm, seemed to have been scared silly, but a moment later, a wave of sweetness filled her heart. I have a basic understanding of Chen Fei’s personality. He wouldn’t normally be so direct and resort to violence right away. All of this… it might be because of me…

”You actually dare to hit me! Do you have any idea—” After lying on the ground like a dead dog for a long moment, the acute pain finally snapped Ma Tiansheng back to his senses. He staggered to his feet, his eyes locked on Chen Fei as he ground his teeth with venomous hatred.

”Idea about what? Ma Tiansheng, who the hell do you think you are? Daring to act arrogant in front of Brother Fei? I’ll kill you—” Before he could finish, Chen Hao, still wearing his hat, could no longer hold back. He charged forward and kicked the venomously glaring Ma Tiansheng, sending him back to the ground. Then, shouting curses, he began stomping on him in an almost hysterical frenzy, looking as if he fully intended to beat him to death!

What a joke! Chen Fei is my life-saving benefactor and a distinguished guest of the Hong Kong Chen Family! Let alone a worthless wastrel like Ma Tiansheng, even if his brother Ma Tianfang showed up, daring to disrespect Brother Fei would be like touching my reverse scale—a fight to the death! As for the Ma Family behind him… Heh, our Chen Family already has plenty of conflicts with them. What’s one more?

”Brother… Brother Hao? What, how is it you?” As everyone stared, stunned by another person suddenly charging out to brutally assault Second Young Master Ma, Du Jincheng, the one with the gold chain, froze. He looked at the hat-wearing Chen Hao in utter astonishment.

Given the special relationship between their families and how well he’d known him since childhood, he recognized him at a glance. The young man frantically beating someone was the very ’Brother Hao’ he spoke of! Young Master Chen! The Eldest Young Master of the Hong Kong Chen Family. But why would he suddenly appear here? He was so low-key before, just following behind that strange young man… Could Brother Hao have been here all along? Damn it, what in the world is happening now?

”Hao… Brother Hao? Which Brother Hao, could it be…” At this, Wuu Guangbin, Qian Jin, and the others were also stunned, their mouths hanging wide open.

What the actual fuck? What the hell is going on here? What is this situation…

”Stop… stop! Chen Hao, what is the meaning of this? Ah! Stop it! Stop hitting me!” Seeing Chen Hao’s face clearly, Ma Tiansheng was obviously shocked. He couldn’t understand why the other man would suddenly rush out and beat him like a madman. ”What the hell are you doing?! Ah, it hurts! Stop hitting me! Stop!”

However, Chen Hao acted as if he hadn’t heard a word, continuing to kick him relentlessly.
