Medic Martial Dragon King

Chapter 361: Chapter 361 Don’t Lose the National Spirit_1

”Hmm? Say it!”

Shanben Liang looked at Xu Zhiyan with a puzzled expression.

Xu Zhiyan’s face was grim as he spoke, ”Some kid using Flame Dragon Kung Fu beat me up a few days ago, and he even toppled our entire fighting club. Now our fighting club can’t recruit anyone, and even many of the former members have left!”

”What? There’s such a thing?” Upon hearing this, Shanben Liang’s anger surged up, and he bellowed, ”No, this vengeance must be taken! I’ve also been quite pissed off lately, this grudge is a perfect outlet!”

”How do we take revenge?” Xu Zhiyan’s face was filled with distress.

”Do you have a martial arts hall here that practices Flame Dragon Martial Arts? Let’s go challenge them tomorrow!” Shanben Liang’s eyes gleamed.

”Yes, there is one not far from the school,” Xu Zhiyan’s eyes brightened.

”Good, it’s settled then. Tomorrow we’ll go and challenge that Flame Dragon Martial Arts Hall!” Shanben Liang spoke with a look of pride on his face.

...

Early the next morning, Jiang Chen finished acupuncture and massage for Ye Jingyi and then continued to attend classes at Dingjing University.

Just after finishing a class, his mobile phone rang.

Jiang Chen took out his phone and saw who it was, answering the call with confusion, ”Hello, Lin Zhiyan.”

”Jiang Chen, why did you refuse my dad? Do you think I deserve to die?” Lin Zhiyan’s voice came from the earpiece, furious.

Jiang Chen frowned slightly, ”Don’t be unreasonable! I’ve got things to do, hanging up now!”

Beep beep beep...

At the entrance to Dingjing University, Lin Zhiyan huffed as she looked at her phone that went dead, unable to vent her anger, ”Damn Jiang Chen, you think I’m desperate for your protection?”

Putting away the phone, Lin Zhiyan bit her lip, her eyes revealing feelings of anger and grievance.

The night before, she had heard her father say that Jiang Chen only agreed to be called when needed and refused to protect her at all times. She didn’t know where the anger came from, so she went straight to Dingjing University to find Jiang Chen today. But now, having been directly rejected over the phone by Jiang Chen, her frustration grew stronger, yet she didn’t know how to vent it.

Taking a deep breath to calm her emotions, Lin Zhiyan walked toward the path opposite her. In that passageway was a Flame Dragon Martial Arts Hall where she often went to train.

Carrying her anger, Lin Zhiyan arrived at the martial arts hall.

Many of the staff in the hall recognized the young lady. As they saw her arrive, they immediately stepped forward, intending to greet her with a smile.

But before they could speak, they saw Lin Zhiyan kick someone over and then yell, ”Come on, get a few tough ones to spar with me!”

The staff at the hall understood; she had come to vent today. So they hurriedly called the hall master for instructions, then summoned a few people to spar with Lin Zhiyan.

It was called sparring, but it was more like taking a beating. Anyway, letting Lin Zhiyan vent her inner anger was the right thing to do.

Bang!

Suddenly, a dull thud came from the entrance.

Lin Zhiyan and the others paused for a moment and turned to look.

They saw a figure tumbling down from mid-air, and with it, the signboard at the entrance of the hall.

”Clap—” The signboard was caught by someone below.

”Great! Master Shanben, well done!”

”Cool!”

”Let’s go, let’s get inside and show these jerks what we’re made of!”

Amidst the cheering and arrogant shouting, a group of members from the fighting club, dressed in their white fighting uniforms, swaggered into the martial arts hall.

Leading them was a man not too tall, Shanben Liang himself, with a smirk and an arrogant demeanor.

It was he who had just leapt and kicked the sign of the hall flying.

And behind him, Xu Zhiyan was proudly carrying the sign of the martial arts hall.

”Who are you people? Put down our sign!” The staff of the hall saw this and immediately became furious, charging forward and glaring at Xu Zhiyan and the others.

Shanben Liang smiled coldly, turned his head and called out, ”Put it down.”

Xu Zhiyan revealed a playful smile and placed the signboard upright beside himself.

”You...” The dojo staff began to frown and speak, but after uttering just two words, Shanbe Liang moved again, startling him into silence.

Crack!

With a fierce side kick, Shanbe Liang snapped the dojo’s signboard in two!

”Bastards! What do you think you’re doing?”

The people in the dojo were enraged, all clenching their fists, their cries of anger sounding righteous and indignant.

”I am Shanbe Liang, a martial artist of fighting techniques from Beihai National. I’ve come today to issue a challenge! I will use my fighting techniques to show you...” Shanbe Liang, with his poor Flame Dragon language, arrogantly swept over the angered crowd with his stout finger and sneered, ”Your Flame Dragon Kung Fu is just like this sign, it cannot... withstand... a single... blow!”

”Bullshit!”

With one word, the anger of the crowd was ignited!

”What audacious foreigners!”

”This is too outrageous, daring to come to the Flame Dragon Kingdom to provoke our Flame Dragon Martial Arts!”

”Foreigners are always so arrogant and ignorant. Haven’t you ever heard that all martial arts originate from Flame Dragon?”

The people in the dojo immediately exploded into a commotion, angrily shouting as they rolled up their sleeves, ready to fight.

Lin Zhiyan’s eyes lit up. She took out her phone, switched to video mode, and stood by to start recording.

”Stop!”

A voice full of firm intensity sounded. A middle-aged man stepped forward to face Shanbe Liang, declaring with an air of righteousness, ”A challenge? Very well, we who open dojos are not afraid of challenges! But we won’t be as reckless and powerless as you are, we will definitely show you the right way, that Flame Dragon Martial Arts are not to be insulted!”

The middle-aged man spoke with a steady tone, but the sharpness in his eyes and the barely concealed rage burning within him were evident.

”Well said, Headmaster!”

”Master Lu, take down that foreigner!”

The people from the dojo shouted their support for the middle-aged man’s words and actions.

This middle-aged man was Lu Jingming, the headmaster of the Jingming Martial Arts Hall. He was well-liked but also had a heart devoted to martial arts, having always regarded Flame Dragon Martial Arts as the pinnacle of the world’s martial disciplines. Now that someone dared to challenge his dojo, and it was someone from Beihai National causing such a ruckus, he was completely furious!

”So, you’re the headmaster of this dojo?” Shanbe Liang curled his lips, sizing up Lu Jingming with a glance that carried a hint of contempt.

Lu Jingming gave Shanbe Liang a look, then turned to look at Xu Zhiyan and the others, slightly furrowing his brow, ”Are you students from Dingjing University?”

”Yes, we are members of the Dingjing University Fighting Techniques Club.” Xu Zhiyan retorted proudly, ”We are here to watch how fighting techniques beat your Flame Dragon Martial Arts!”

”Our Flame Dragon Martial Arts?” Lu Jingming’s eyebrows shot up as he asked sternly, ”Aren’t you from the Flame Dragon Kingdom? As nationals, you pride yourselves on practicing fighting techniques and even bring people here to humiliate us. It seems you’ve completely lost the soul of the Flame Dragon Kingdom!”

As soon as he finished speaking, some members of the Fighting Techniques Club looked embarrassed, exchanging glances, but no one spoke.

”Don’t try to suppress me with big talk here. Everything in our country is fake, including this martial arts. Fighting techniques are the strongest, so of course, we are proud of practicing them!” Xu Zhiyan shouted.

”Haha, well said!” Shanbe Liang laughed loudly, ”I’ll show you how fighting techniques destroy this Flame Dragon Martial Arts!”

Lu Jingming gritted his teeth in silent rage, shooting Xu Zhiyan a furious look. He then glanced at the broken sign on the ground and, with a serious expression, gestured towards the central ring of the dojo to Shanbe Liang, ”If that’s the case, there’s no point in talking. Please, take the stage!”

”Master Shanben, let me go first!”

Xu Zhiyan shouted, stepping ahead of Shanbe Liang.

”Alright, I’ll give you a chance to let them truly see the fine heritage of fighting techniques,” Shanbe Liang agreed loudly.

Seeing the situation, Lu Jingming knew he couldn’t step up himself, so he scanned the surrounding students.

”I’ll do it!”

”Let me at him...”

The students from the dojo clamored, each eager to be the first.

In the end, Lu Jingming chose a promising student to take the stage.
