Martial Cultivator

Who in the world did not know that the Sword Sect’s sect master was obsessed with Sword Dao? To comprehend the strongest sword, this sect master had secluded himself for many years.

The Sword Sect’s Sect Master stood with hands behind his back, not speaking in haste. He quietly looked at the sea of clouds, even reaching out to pull a wisp of cloud into his palm, letting it constantly change shape.

After a full half-quarter of an hour, the Sword Sect’s Sect Master finally smiled and said, “Over a sixty-year cycle, twelve duels. In truth, toward the end, I was very disappointed in you. You should not have been like this. But since today you have voluntarily proposed the thirteenth duel, I shall come and see for myself. What have you comprehended? Is it vastly different from the previous twelve?”

As these words were spoken, the Sword Sect’s Sect Master walked out of the cave dwelling, moving slowly through midair. In an instant, he had already arrived in the sea of clouds.

“My Sword Sect disciples, stop everything and come out of the sect to observe the sword.”

The Sword Sect’s Sect Master walked in the sea of clouds. Although previously in his words he had doubted whether Yang Luting would have that completely new sword, at this moment, his words fully expressed the Sword Sect’s Sect Master’s thoughts.

If he thought Yang Luting’s final sword was no different from before, why would he call upon the sect disciples to observe it?

In twelve duels over a sixty-year cycle, the Sword Sect’s Sect Master still had some special feelings for Yang Luting. At the very least, he did not consider it natural that Yang Luting gave his full effort in all twelve duels.

He wished to repay the lifesaving debt from long ago. The Sword Sect’s Sect Master actually also wanted to walk together with him toward the highest peak of Sword Dao.

But in this world, everyone’s path is different. Whether one can reach the highest point, or when one will stop, is uncertain.

The Sword Sect’s Sect Master left the Sword Sect.

Countless sword cultivators rose into the air behind him, transforming into streaks of sword light.

Among them, more than ten sword lights were particularly thick.

This scene was truly spectacular.

......

......

Outside the Sword Sect, a hundred miles away, the old man closed his eyes to rest. A young sword immortal had already arrived here, panting. Looking at the sword dragon before him, the young sword immortal could not help but complain in his heart: why hasn’t the fight started yet?

It seemed the old man heard the young sword immortal’s thoughts. He squinted and smiled: “Foolish boy, for this old man’s final sword, the spectacle must be fully done. Moreover, the observers have not arrived yet. If this old man draws my sword now, how will I hear them yell about how incredible it is?”

Yu Xiyi looked helpless. “If Elder Brother’s final sword ends in a crushing defeat, wouldn’t that be embarrassing?”

At this moment, he no longer cared, elder brother was elder brother, so be it.

The old man did not care either, he just spoke calmly: “By then, this old man will be dead. Embarrassment? Who would go to my tomb every day to remind this old man of it?”

Yu Xiyi could not help laughing, but he patted his chest and promised: “If there really is such an insolent person, rest assured, Elder Brother, I will beat him until not even his mother would recognize him.”

The old man simply brushed it off with a smile.

Behind him, the sword lights were like grains of rice, each full and round.

Before him, a sword qi stretched across half the sky.

At the same time, countless sword lights came from that direction.

Yu Xiyi looked up, clicking his tongue: “Elder Brother, what a spectacle! Damn, it looks like more than a dozen sword immortals are observing the sword here!”

How many sword immortals were there in the world? It was hard to say.

But at the same time, a place that could gather more than a dozen sword immortals was probably only the Sword Sect.

The old man laughed heartily, “This old fogey has done a proper thing, it was not in vain that this old man suffered countless sword strikes from him in this sixty-year cycle.”

After saying this, the old man, who had been sitting cross-legged in the sea of clouds, stood up. Straightening his back, he exhaled a mouthful of sword qi, held it in his palm, carefully observed it. Then, he smiled and said, “Damn it, I still think this thing is the peerless beauty of the human world.”

After saying this, the old man directly waved his hand, and the sword qi in his palm swept forward. At first it was like a droplet of water, but after it traveled several feet, it became like a torrential downpour.

The sword qi fell like rain, pressing down.

Yu Xiyi praised sincerely, “Elder Brother, your Sword Dao is so high, one glance cannot see its end!”

The old man had already risen and held the flying sword Wild Grass. The previous sword qi had only been pioneers clearing the way, like scouts sent ahead before two armies clash. Now that he wielded the sword, the real army was moving.

Between heaven and earth, sword qi filled the air.

The old man laughed to himself, “Old fogey, watch the sword!”

A long river of sword qi arose from the sky. At the same time as the old man spoke, it surged forward like a dam breaking, a torrent rushing ahead.

But in truth, it was only flowing sword qi.

The old man had cultivated for many years. In daily combat, he could restrain his attacks, but at this moment, since this sword was to be his last, there was nothing to hold back.

Therefore, the amount of sword qi at this moment was truly a great sword immortal giving his all.

Even though this vast river of sword qi rushed and spread across the sky, its power astonishing, the Sword Sect’s Sect Master, who had just arrived belatedly, released a sword qi even sharper and unmatched in the world.

If Yang Luting’s sword was like spreading a rain curtain, then the Sword Sect’s Sect Master on the opposite side, when striking, was as if a single reckless, peerlessly sharp flying sword tore through that rain curtain without regard.

The two of them - one grand in scale, the other simple and direct.

The old man looked at this scene and shook his head, “Old fogey, if you haven’t cultivated anything from your sword training, you’ll probably find it difficult to advance even an inch in this lifetime. Are you truly not giving me any shred of face?”

The Sword Sect’s Sect Master stood with hands behind his back, turning a deaf ear to it

However, that sword tore through the rain curtain. Although still terrifying in power, in the end, it did not completely break apart the curtain of sword qi.

Finally, the sword qi dissipated slowly, and the old man realized too late: “So, old fogey, you really do understand the ways of the world now?”

The two had dueled twelve times. They already understood each other’s level perfectly. How much effort the Sword Sect’s Sect Master put into that sword, the old man naturally knew.

The Sword Sect’s Sect Master did not dwell on this matter, but instead said, “Since you say you have comprehended it well, then show it quickly, so the juniors will not be disappointed.”

This time, the Sword Sect’s Sect Master had almost the entire sect of sword cultivators come out to observe the sword. What this meant was self-evident.

The old man muttered, “Isn’t this supposed to be gradual? Start with the intensity immediately? If I start with the intensity immediately, I’m afraid that you won’t be able to handle it, old fogey...”

Actually, this time coming down the mountain, if one were to say he had comprehended some new sword move, it could not really be said. It was only that in the town, his mindset had changed, allowing the old man to rediscover the vigor of his youth. Therefore, this final sword, though perhaps not new, would certainly be the peak sword of his life.

Surpassing all his previous swords.

He released Wild Grass, and the flying sword hovered at his side, humming.

The old man scolded with a laugh, “Little one, you didn’t want to just now, and now you can’t bear to part? You are straightforward, but a pity. This old man’s Sword Dao, though fully comprehended to reach the end of Nepenthe is not hard to achieve, if that sword master of yours only wants to become a great sword immortal, he may study it. But would he be willing to stop there?”

”No he won’t. When this old man first saw him, I knew this boy was someone who would reach the highest peak of Sword Dao in the future. So this old man’s Sword Dao, he will only look at it.”

At this, the old man sighed a little and mocked himself, “Is this old man’s Sword Dao truly not up to the standard?”

But at this moment, it was only words and smiles. The old man had already decided to leave his Sword Dao insights to those sword cultivators willing to lend him swords. How much they could comprehend depended entirely on their own ability.

Otherwise, there was nothing more to be done.
