Chapter 628: Chapter 628: I’ll Go to the Hospital with You

”Brother! Wait for me! You’re my brother, please don’t abandon me!”

Ariel Morris kept running frantically, shouting in a hoarse voice, fearing that even a slight pause would increase the distance between her and the car.

As she ran desperately, wiping away the tears that blurred her vision to see clearly again, she saw the car in front of her suddenly stop, and a figure swiftly jumped out.

Ariel’s gaze was drawn to the person who had just jumped out, and she bit her lip, choking out to the figure, ”Brother!”

Jorge Saxton walked towards her hurriedly, meeting Ariel as they stood face to face.

Ariel was breathing heavily, her hair in slight disarray, her eyes red, with tear streaks still on her face, looking somewhat disheveled. Jorge felt a pang of heartache as he looked at her.

Ariel pressed her lips together, calming her breath, and looked at Jorge, her voice hoarse and deep, ”Brother—I know you’re doing this for my own good, I know, you’re just afraid something will happen to me, that’s why you won’t let me keep the baby, I know... but brother, I’m really hurting, this is already my and Arlo’s second baby, I really don’t want to lose it...” Ariel spoke, tears uncontrollably streaming down, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t stop them.

She took a deep breath, her heart aching and stuffy, feeling extremely uncomfortable, and after easing her emotions a bit, she continued speaking in a hoarse voice, ”Brother, is there really no way to save the baby?”

Jorge looked at Ariel’s demeanor, feeling as pained and bitter as she was, his eyes reddening too. Looking at his sister, his voice slightly hoarse, ”Ariel, if there was any way to save both you and the baby, I would do whatever it takes! But Ariel, without a perfect solution, my choice is always to save you! Because you are my blood-related sister. I’ve been searching for you for so many years, how can I face the pain of losing you?”

”Brother—I feel terrible!” Ariel cried out in pain.

Jorge gently wiped the tears from Ariel’s face, his hoarse voice carrying a hint of pleading, ”Ariel, just for once, please listen to your brother, for your own sake, give up this baby, okay? I don’t want my sister, whom I searched for over twenty years, to leave me before we’ve even renewed our sibling bond. Ariel, even if it makes me selfish, will you give up this baby for your brother?”

Jorge’s actions of wiping Ariel’s tears were very gentle, his voice resonating in her ears, hoarse and low, filled with bitterness and a plea, his gaze carrying warmth and protection. Ariel’s nose and the corners of her eyes ached as she buried herself into Jorge’s embrace, crying freely.

”Brother—I can’t bear it—I really can’t bear it!”

”Brother... I feel so awful, so awful that I feel like I’ll suffocate and die in the next second!”

”Brother, I want to live on, to be with you and Arlo for a lifetime, but I also want the baby to survive.”

”I don’t understand why others can find happiness so easily, living happily as a family, yet it’s so full of hardships for me.”

”I know one shouldn’t overly covet, but I just want, I just pray that I can use all my luck in this lifetime to safely give birth to this baby, and then undergo treatment.”

”But I can’t fight anymore, brother—in my heart, the baby is important, but I really can’t lose you.”

”So, brother... I’ll go to the hospital with you, I won’t have this baby. Brother, don’t abandon me! All I have left is you and Arlo! I really have nothing else, just you and Arlo...”

”All these years till now, aside from Arlo whom I love, you’re the only brother I have left...”

Jorge’s mood was heavy, not feeling relieved at Ariel’s decision to give up the baby. He held Ariel, who was crying in his arms, his voice deep and hoarse, ”Ariel, with your brother here from now on, these things won’t happen again. You and Arlo are still young, and if you want a child, you’ll have plenty of opportunities once you’re healthy.”
