Lord Xue Ying

Swordmaster chuckled: “I have reached level-two Cosmos God Realm a while ago. It was only after cultivating for a long period of time and gaining the confidence of suppressing Sacred Master using my ‘Dao of Destruction’ did I choose to plunder part of the Origin Source Energy from the Origin World. Furthermore, cultivating with the best conditions and resources in the Summer Wind Ancient Nation along with getting bestowed with a supreme secret impartation at the Realm Heart God Palace, I was able to finally reach the final realm after accumulating sufficient comprehension.”

“Mn.” Xue Ying nodded.

“Saying that, you should be the number one expert in our Origin World with regards to both Dao of Void and Dao of Mirage and Illusory Realm right?” Swordmaster said, “You should be quite close to reaching the final realm in the Dao of Void already. Why did you not choose to grasp part of this Origin Source Energy?”

“I was worried that a cornered dog would be driven to take desperate actions.” Xue Ying replied, “I am afraid the speed of my improvement in both Dao of Void and Dao of Mirage and Illusory Realm would startle Sacred Master, pushing him to do things like Emperor Jun and choose to end this era prematurely. Ultimately, I have yet to reach the final realm! The moment the Primal Chaos Void is destroyed, my true body can’t survive and would be forced to leave via the Great Destruction Realm Teleportation Technique. Once the Origin World is newly formed, I’ll be marked as an outsider when I come back.”

Swordmaster was enlightened: “That’s logical. Given the natural disposition of Sacred Master, he would definitely be provoked to take desperate actions.”

Xue Ying nodded.

Jumping out of the cage to become a Chaotic Origin Lifeform! That was the desire of every peak Cosmos Gods!

And according to what he currently understood, there were several ways of jumping out of the cage.

Firstly, to grasp the Supreme Law.

Secondly, to break through using force. Once a cultivator was sufficiently powerful, he would surpass the restrictions governed by the Supreme Law. It would hence be easy to refine and control an Origin World after that.

Most final realm cultivators would choose to grasp the Supreme Law like how ‘Sacred Master’ did–to start a religion and collect belief energy. The wisdom of the people would be used to gather the essence of the Origin World! Given how unique and mysterious a ‘soul’ was, it could be greatly nourishing even to the soul of Cosmos Gods.

If an absolutely great number of sentient beings choose to believe in an expert within the Origin World!

The will of the populace is equivalent to the will of an Origin World!

If the populace believed in an expert, the will of the Origin World would also be directed to support that expert. This would greatly ease the process of grasping the entire Supreme Law, allowing that expert to become the owner of an Origin World! By relying on the huge amount of energy provided by the Origin World, it would naturally be easy to take that final step and become a Chaotic Origin Lifeform.

Nonetheless, this was a very difficult path to take regardless.

Firstly, one had to wait until the Origin World had sufficient number of people. During the early periods of the Origin World, there were few sentient beings. Hence, the will of the beings would not have a strong influence on the will of the Origin World. Only when the Origin World reached the peak flourishing period where there were many sentient beings–to the extent that the population had reached the limit of what the Origin World could withstand–would the will of the population be able to influence the will of the Origin World!

Secondly, belief! This required the beings to believe in the expert deep from their souls. If the belief wasn’t pure enough, it would be useless. Hence, the Sacred Master chose to imprint a mark into the souls of every current believer of his.

Unquestionably.

The ‘Supreme Law’ would hinder those taking this path. Other experts would as well!

For instance, after ‘Sacred Master’ and others withstood against the Great Apocalypse of the Origin World, during the emergence period, they would choose to slumber! When they awoke, the Origin World would have already been populated with numerous sentient beings, with Cosmos Gods emerging already. The rule of the Supreme Law of an Origin World did so to ensure that the newly-emerged sentient beings had the power to retaliate. Having a ‘balance’ was one of the core attributes of the Supreme Law.

Other than spreading religion so as to rely on the help of the populace’s will in grasping the Supreme Law.

There was another way–to grasp the Origin Source!

The Origin World had Origin Source too!

The Origin Source was a form of Supreme Law produced when various ‘final realm Daos’ weaved together perfectly. Any strand of Origin Source would be at the final realm level. In order to grasp it, one had to be at least a level-two Cosmos God.

If one could grasp more than half the total Origin Source Energy! Then it would be possible for the cultivator to rely on it to grasp the Supreme Law.

But what did it mean to grasp more than half of it?

It meant that one had to reach the level-two Cosmos God Realm in many different Dao paths!

“I have already reached the level-two Cosmos God Realm in the Dao of Void. It is the same as well in the Dao of Mirage and Illusory Realm. Hence, I had to be more careful in not provoking the Sacred Master.” Xue Ying said. There was no need to conceal this matter before Swordmaster since Swordmaster was a final realm cultivator in the Summer Wind Ancient Nation, and he would soon learn about it.

“You have reached level two in the Dao of Mirage and Illusory Realm too?” Swordmaster was startled.

“I had even done a trade with the Summer Wind Ancient Nation, acquiring the Void Fire Lotus Flower from them. That was why Emperor Summer and the others had already known of my identity as the Heaven’s Will Daoist.” Xue Ying elaborated.

“Haha, no wonder. Mn, that Sacred Master has cultivated for several eras and have reached the final realm in the Dao of Lightning. He has also reached the level-two Cosmos God Realm in the ‘Dao of Destruction’, ‘Dao of Dark’, and ‘Dao of Light’.” Swordmaster said, “Previously, my attainments in the Dao of Destruction had been more profound than his, allowing me to plunder over the controlling rights of the ‘Dao of Destruction’, allowing him to control even less Origin Source Energy. As for you, you cultivated for a period far shorter than mine. If you were to plunder two strands of Origin Source Energy, it will definitely provoke him.”

Xue Ying nodded: “That’s right. I originally wanted to remain low-profile and only act when I reached the final realm!”

If he did not reach the final realm, once Sacred Master chose to flip the tables, Xue Ying could not survive the Great Apocalypse!

Even though it would be helpful to temper his ‘cultivation’ when one or two more final realm enemies existed, if the enemy was too terrifying, it would be a disaster instead!

The reason why Sacred Master wasn’t afraid of ‘Swordmaster’ in the past was because Swordmaster merely specialized in one single ‘Dao of Destruction’. This Dao Path did not specialize in spreading religion or soul control! Neither did it specialize in controlling a large amount of Origin Source! Hence, he still looked forward to the growth of Swordmaster since only he and Old Monster Stone existed in this Origin World. Furthermore, Old Monster Stone was always in slumber, and Sacred Master felt too lonely.

But if Xue Ying grasped two strands of Origin Source despite cultivating for less than two trillion years, it might provoke him instead!

Perhaps he might be confident and feel that Xue Ying could not threaten him.

But it was possible for Sacred Master to flip the tables and bring the world to an end!

“You haven’t reached the final realm?” Swordmaster looked at Xue Ying, “You should have acquired a supreme secret impartation in the Realm Heart God Palace too?”

“Mn, I have entered the Realm Heart God Palace in the same batch as you did.” Xue Ying explained, “Even though I have the supreme secret impartation with me, it is still difficult to reach the final realm.”

Swordmaster nodded. His eyes were filled with a strand of melancholy: “That’s right. It is hard.”

Only after he walked down this path did he find out how difficult it was.

Others might feel that his rate of cultivation was relatively fast, yet they did not know how much he experienced.

“The competition in the Cang Clan was incredibly intense. Previously, I was too weak and could not acquire a slot to enter the Realm Heart God Palace. Only after becoming a Paragon Master did I succeed in getting a slot.” Swordmaster said.

“It is fortunate that you broke through. Otherwise, things might be troublesome if Emperor Jun chose to wreak havoc.” Xue Ying stated.

“It is also thanks to you. I can’t stop him just by myself alone.” Swordmaster chuckled.

Both of them looked at each other.

And they laughed.

That’s right.

It was quite fortunate for them. Both of them could not stop a final realm Destruction Devil from destroying the world alone! That time, ‘Luo City Lord’ had given an opportunity to both Xue Ying and Swordmaster respectively because of pity. Luo City Lord wasn’t certain of what his actions would bring. He was only giving the natives hope. And now, it succeeded!

The two of them had saved the population.

“Swordmaster, since you have broken through, there is no need for me to endure any longer.” Xue Ying said, “After forcing Emperor Jun into the Lost World Corridor, there is no longer a need to tolerate Sacred Master anymore.”

“Sacred Master?” Swordmaster’s eyes brightened, “You mean…”

“Since the two of us can force Emperor Jun to this extent! We should be able to force Sacred Master to hide as well.” Xue Ying’s eyes flashed with sharpness, “His way of spreading his religion is to treat all sentient beings as slaves, directly controlling all their souls. If we could save those people, we might as well do it now.”

Swordmaster looked at Xue Ying: “Are you confident of saving them?”

“Enslaving the beings is merely a form of soul controlling technique.” Xue Ying laughed, “And in terms of controlling the soul, do you think Sacred Master could compare with me, a level-two Cosmos God in the Dao of Mirage and Illusory Realm? I have already examined through their souls, and am confident of saving them. I did not do so in fear of startling Sacred Master in the past.”

“Alright.” Swordmaster was filled with excitement, “Since you are confident of saving those enslaved beings, then we can move any time.”

“This time, we’ll chase that Sacred Master away in one fell swoop!” Xue Ying looked forward to it too.

As for killing him?

Xue Ying of course desired to do so. There were too many people who desired for the death of Sacred Master! But it was useless! Even unparalleled existences could not kill final realm experts.
