Looking Forward to Another World

At this moment, the number of people gathered in the training field was far greater than anyone had imagined.

Not only were the three Mavros brothers and their knights present, but even the soldiers who usually trained at this training field had scattered around the area in small groups.

All of them stayed at a distance, holding their breath as they watched Riezel and Raven locked in a standoff.

Everyone could clearly feel it, the overwhelming pressure radiating from these two that felt like a storm, crashing toward them with enough force to crush the very ground beneath their feet.

Even the strongest-willed among them couldn’t help but waver in the face of the pressure, while those with weaker will turned pale, the blood draining from their faces. If they hadn’t undergone rigorous training, they would’ve already collapsed under the weight of the pressure, trembling on their knees.

”I-Is he the Lightning Sword Saint?”

”He’s actually standing toe-to-toe with Marquis Mavros... Looks like the rumors are true...”

”...I didn’t wanna believe it. A seventeen-year-old kid reaching the realm we’ve spent our whole lives chasing? But seeing this, I can’t deny it anymore...”

”Why are they suddenly facing off like this?”

”What is this killing intent... Is this not just a friendly spar?”

”Can’t you see? Marquis Mavros is fully armed.”

Around the training field, those who had no clue what had led to this situation whispered among themselves—some were excited, some uneasy, some doubtful, and others outright nervous, everyone reacting in their own way.

Meanwhile, the three Mavros brothers, with eyes fixed on Riezel and Raven, were also present with grim expressions, standing in the best spot to watch the fight, surrounded by their knights.

Among them, Axel was the first to speak.

”Didn’t think Father would actually bring out those two items... Looks like the Lightning Sword Saint really pissed him off.”

”Hmph, and you’re not pissed, Elder Brother Axel?” Diego scoffed, his face dark with anger. ”Can you see that bastard didn’t even put our family in his eyes? He barged into our residence, crushed all of us the moment he walked in, and even stood in front of Father like we were nothing... Someone like him deserves a real lesson.”

”...Of course I’m angry.” Axel fell silent for a moment before sighing. ”I’m just wondering... picking a fight with such a promising young Sword Saint... Is that really a good thing for our family?”

At this, Diego fell silent and didn’t respond.

In this silence, however, Kaiser finally spoke up.

”You must know, the way things are now, it’s obvious that Riezel Brynhart came here looking for trouble. With that being the case, there’s no way Father would back down.”

”And it’s not just about Father’s personality, which has never been one to back down in the first place, but even if he wanted to, Riezel Brynhart already challenged him this blatantly. If he doesn’t take the fight, it won’t just be his own reputation on the line but also the Mavros family’s name and the honor of Mavros Territory.”

”Now, there’s no turning back. Both sides have crossed the line, and neither of them plans to let this slide. A fight is inevitable.”

”But don’t worry. Father might be ruthless and domineering, but he’s not unreasonable. He won’t actually kill Riezel Brynhart. At most, he’ll make sure he never forgets this lesson for the rest of his life.”

Kaiser’s words made Axel and Diego nod in agreement since neither of them doubted for even a second that their father would win.

Aside from them, Nibald also seemed to share the same belief.

”Hahh... this is not good...”

From a prime vantage point, Nibald let out a sigh as he watched Raven standing across from Riezel.

”Wh-What’s wrong?”

Lizbeth, who was already on edge, became more nervous as she heard Nibald’s words.

”Look at Sir Raven’s weapon and armor.”

Nibald gestured toward Raven, prompting Lizbeth to follow his gaze, and as soon as she did, she immediately noticed something out of the ordinary.

Raven was now clad in a full suit of armor.

It was a silver-colored set of armor that covered every part of his body except his head, with a red cape draped over his back. On his solid body, the full-body armor looked more like a battlesuit than conventional armor, appearing lightweight rather than bulky, almost as if its defense had been sacrificed for better mobility.

As Lizbeth gazed at the armor, its gleaming surface and the faint magical energy emanating from it made it clear to her that it was no ordinary set of armor.

Beside the extraordinary-looking armor, there was a sword in Raven’s hands.

It was a greatsword, reaching a full two meters in length, with its blade alone longer than an average adult’s height. Even though it wasn’t particularly wide, from the side, it looked as thick as a slab of steel.

At the top of the hilt, a high-quality magic crystal was embedded, while a shimmering aura coated the blade as its razor-sharp edge gleamed with a cold light, making it clear that this weapon could cut through most materials with ease.

Fully equipped with such a weapon and armor, Raven was nothing short of a walking fortress—but more importantly, the weapon and armor were clearly not ordinary.

”Could those be...?”

A realization struck Lizbeth, sending a shiver down her spine.

”Looks like you figured it out, Miss Lizbeth.” Nibald let out a bitter chuckle. ”Yes, that sword and armor are ancient mystical treasures.”

Just like how Riezel had once entered the royal treasury and chosen an ancient mystical treasure, Divine Meloe, Raven had done the same—not just once, but twice.

Raven’s first time was when he had just ascended to the rank of Sword Saint and pledged his loyalty to Jinas. Back then, to secure his allegiance, Hendrick granted him access to the royal treasury to choose a treasure, from which he took a sword.

Raven’s second time was when he was appointed as a marquis and sent to the southern border of Jinas, tasked with defending against Reiburg’s invasions. In order to strengthen their new border guardian and fortify Jinas’s defenses, the highest-ranking officials all agreed that he should be allowed to enter the royal treasury once more and claim another treasure, from which he took a suit of armor.

From that moment on, the Guardian Sword Saint, Raven Mavros, truly cemented his reputation.

He became a war hero, repeatedly turning back Reiburg’s massive armies and earning a fearsome reputation across battlefields to the point that his unmatched prowess even shocked neighboring countries.

As a result, the two treasures he wielded became famous—even among ordinary people.

”What you see now are the two legendary ancient mystical treasures Sir Raven possessed, known as Rebellion and Moniz—they’re treasures of immense power.”

Nibald explained while standing beside Lizbeth.

”Rebellion is a sword that possesses an incredibly sharp edge, capable of cutting through iron like mud. It also has various effects, such as breaking magic, defenses, and curses, making it the strongest weapon in Jinas in terms of attack.”

”Moniz is an armor that boasts incredibly high physical and magical defense. Not only can it resist an offensive special ability from Special Swordsmanship, but it also has resistance against magic and can even block abnormal status effects. Even if it gets damaged, it will automatically repair itself, making it the strongest armor in Jinas in terms of defense.”

”Possessing those two legendary treasures, Sir Raven basically wields the strongest spear and the strongest shield. Even against a Sword Saint of the same strength, he can completely overpower them.”

”You know, when Sir Raven charged into Reiburg’s armies, not only could none of Reiburg’s soldiers leave a single scratch on him, but their formation was instantly torn apart as he broke through.”

”For ordinary people who don’t know about the existence of the Old Sword Saint in the royal palace, Sir Raven has always been regarded as the strongest Sword Saint in Jinas. Many high-ranking nobles in the royal capital even believe that when he’s fully armed with those two legendary treasures, even if he were to face the Old Sword Saint, he wouldn’t easily lose.”

At this point, Nibald sighed.

”And now that Sir Raven has brought both of those treasures, Sir Brynhart’s situation is looking really bad...”

Upon hearing this, Lizbeth tightened her grip on Moslow.

In Nibald and the others’ assessment, Riezel, a newly ascended Sword Saint, was already at a disadvantage compared to Raven, who had ten years of experience and had fought countless battles on the frontlines, accumulating an immense amount of combat experience.

Now, as Raven brought out the two treasures he got from the royal treasury, equipping himself with both the so-called strongest spear and the strongest shield, it only widened the gap between them further.

Of course, it was clear to many that Riezel was using a powerful sword.

However, no one really knew how strong Riezel’s sword was, whereas everyone was well aware of the terrifying power of the greatsword and armor Raven equipped.

As a result, no one believed Riezel’s equipment could rival Raven’s, which made Kaiser and the others, including Nibald, believe that Raven wouldn’t lose.

”Master...” Lizbeth murmured with a worried expression.

”Don’t worry.” Nibald reassured. ”Remember, Sir Brynhart isn’t just a swordsman but also a magician. If he uses magic, even if he can’t injure Sir Raven because of Moniz’s defense, he could at least boost his own strength. It’s not like he has no chance at all.”

Unfortunately for Nibald, as he tried to comfort Lizbeth, he had no idea that Riezel had already decided he wasn’t going to use magic in this fight.

It was proven in the next moment when Raven spoke up.

”You can use magic to strengthen yourself. I’ll give you time.”

At Raven’s cold words, Riezel simply replied with an indifferent expression and tone.

”I don’t need magic to deal with you.”
