Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 1407: Chapter 1406: Tu Yumen

”Great Elder, shall we make a move to reclaim the young lady?”

A strong figure from the Liu Sheng Family whispered into Liu Sheng Qianbingwei’s ear.

”No need.”

Liu Sheng Zongyan shook his head. Although he also wished to go forward and bring Liu Sheng Hongye back, after all, she was a direct descendant of the Liu Sheng Family, of noble status, and being forcibly taken as a servant by Ling Chen was undoubtedly a shame for the Liu Sheng Family. However, before they came, Liu Sheng Qianbingwei had already instructed him not to interfere with Liu Sheng Hongye, nor trouble Ling Chen.

Following Liu Sheng Qianbingwei’s orders, Liu Sheng Zongyan could only swallow his pride and not interfere.

”The Liu Sheng Family people didn’t trouble Ling Chen?”

Seeing Liu Sheng Zongyan suppressing his impulse and not confronting Ling Chen, the strong figures of other families were equally shocked. Known for their aggressive and fierce conduct in Yingzhou, the Liu Sheng Family feared no one. Why did they ignore Ling Chen today? Their own daughter was captured by Ling Chen, yet they made no move to reclaim her, leaving them incredulous.

”Could it be that even the Liu Sheng Family is wary of this young man?”

The crowd was astonished. Given the power of the Liu Sheng Family, they had no need to fear Ling Chen, Liu Sheng Zongyan’s inaction was beyond their expectations.

Is the Liu Sheng Family also wary of the forces behind Ling Chen?

”Unexpectedly, this young man is here too.”

Not far away, an old man in gray looked at Ling Chen, a cold glint in his eyes.

If Ling Chen saw the old man in gray, he would undoubtedly recognize him instantly; the old man in gray was none other than Ito Zhai, the Great Yin-Yang Master who had been cut down by Ling Chen before, a hundred-eyed demon incarnation.

Last time, when Ling Chen slew the hundred-eyed demon’s incarnation, after returning to the Mountain Qiu Shrine, he almost got killed by the furious hundred-eyed demon being. Thankfully, he was a Great Yin-Yang Master, and the hundred-eyed demon ultimately spared his life but severely punished him.

Now, within him resides another incarnation of the hundred-eyed demon once more, but he still has to exert great effort to nurture it, equivalent to years of cultivation in vain, having to start over.

He holds this grudge deeply and will not let Ling Chen go easily.

Just as his gaze grew colder, another person appeared in front of Ling Chen, seemingly intending to cause trouble.

In his line of sight, that person turned out to be an old man in white, holding a branch of shaman wood, emitting a powerful spiritual force, far beyond what Ito Zhai, the Mountain Qiu Shrine’s Shaman, could muster!

”It’s Master Tu Yumen, the Great Yin-Yang Master from Izumo Shrine.”

Ito Zhai’s eyes suddenly lit up. Throughout Yingzhou, few possess greater spiritual power than he, yet this Master Tu Yumen from Izumo Shrine, undoubtedly among them, commands respect even from the Family Heads and renowned swordsmen worldwide. Tu Yumen ranks within the top five of Yingzhou’s Yin-Yang Masters.

”I didn’t expect Master Tu Yumen to also take action against this young man.”

Enthralled, Ito Zhai thought, understanding that Tu Yumen must have come for Hong Ye. As shrine maidens are servants of the Divine Spirits, they cannot serve commoners like Ling Chen; it’s a desecration of the Divine Spirits. Additionally, maintaining a shrine maiden’s virginity is crucial because only virgins can become shrine maidens, and to aspire to be a Great Yin-Yang Master, purity is pivotal to gaining favor from the Divine Spirits.

This young man dares to snatch Izumo Shrine’s shrine maiden; it’s about time he pays the price.

Cold laughter spread across Ito Zhai’s face.

”Master Tu Yumen.”

Seeing Tu Yumen approach, Beichuan Ye hurriedly bowed to him. Izumo Shrine ranks among the prime shrines in Yingzhou, and Tu Yumen, a powerful Great Yin-Yang Master, commands respect even from Beichuan Xiongjie. Beichuan Ye, a junior, honors him accordingly.

However, Tu Yumen didn’t acknowledge Beichuan Ye’s greeting; his gaze overlooked everyone else, landing on Ling Chen, suddenly cold as he said, ”It is you, the young man who enslaved Izumo Shrine’s shrine maiden, desecrating the Divine Spirits, committing a monstrous crime. Now, do you confess?”

”What Divine Spirits, merely a Green-faced Ghost,”

Ling Chen showed no fear, instead mocking Tu Yumen’s Divine Spirits claim, then continued, ”Now that Hong Ye is my servant, she naturally severs ties with Izumo Shrine. Henceforth, she is no shrine maiden of yours, unrelated to Izumo Shrine.”

Ling Chen’s words triggered a commotion in the crowd. His remark disregarded Izumo Shrine entirely, referring to their Green-faced Deity as a Green-faced Ghost, seemingly unaware of who stood before him, Master Tu Yumen!

”Ignorant youth.”

Morbid intention intensified on Ito Zhai’s face, astounded at Ling Chen’s audacity before Tu Yumen. He was courting death.

”I’ve heard of your arrogance, thinking you are above all. Today, meeting you, you indeed epitomize arrogance.”

Tu Yumen’s gaze darkened, that a mere youth dared speak as such, belittling Izumo Shrine’s Ghost God, unprecedented.

”If not subdued today, people will surely underestimate Tu Yumen and Izumo Shrine!”

With his words, Tu Yumen abruptly released immense energy, his body enveloped in black light, as a fierce shadow seemed to struggle from within.

The surrounding void abruptly dulled, shrouded in a shadowy glow.

”Master Tu Yumen, please calm down!”

Seeing disaster imminent, Beichuan Ye hurriedly apologized to Tu Yumen, ”Ling Chen’s impulsiveness offended the master. Please pardon him. We are here for the Ise Shrine; it’s better to settle this after emerging from the Divine Palace Ruins.”

”Get lost!”

Tu Yumen disregarded Beichuan Ye, waving his sleeve to send him flying.

Retreating helplessly dozens of steps, Beichuan Ye grasped his sword hilt, gaze sharp; with Tu Yumen intent on violence, he had no option but to fight.

”Ye’er!”

The speaker was the Great Elder of the Beichuan Family, signaling Beichuan Ye to step down. This was a feud between Ling Chen and Izumo Shrine, unrelated to the Beichuan Family. They coexisted peacefully with Izumo Shrine and had no interest in risking it for Ling Chen.
