Leveling Up And Becoming Undefeatable

Chapter 1324: Blank

He was not certain, but he had to do it.

For the sake of this Paladin Legion, and for Kailin.

He had to act!

From the moment Kailin unleashed her power, Luo Tian had conceived the idea of recruiting them.

Saving Kailun earlier was merely a test.

The result of that test was simple: the Church of the Eurasian Continent was not as united as one might imagine.

Power was concentrated in the hands of the high-level leadership.

What the paladins believed in was different from the leadership, making it easy for friction to arise. This was a focal point and the only thing Luo Tian could exploit.

This time, he didn’t use God Flame, Divine Explosion, or any transformation cards or bloodline powers. He relied solely on the pure strength of his level four physical body for defense. Regardless of whether the Black Robe acted or not, his goal had been achieved.

It would be even better if the Black Robe acted, as it would create a direct contrast.

It would cause the paladins to lose heart!

Facing this strike, he would win as long as he didn’t die.

Luo Tian closed his eyes tightly and clenched his teeth, waiting for the demonic beast’s attack to land.

One must mention that this kind of waiting was a form of torture!

However, time went by and the demonic beast’s attack never landed.

Luo Tian opened his eyes and glanced at the Black Robe High Priest in the distance.

The guy hadn’t moved, but his expression had turned somewhat cold.

Fatty Liu kept pointing above Luo Tian’s head, shouting, “Boss! Boss! Above you! Look up…”

Luo Tian looked up, and his gaze instantly darkened.

At an unknown time, Kailin had disappeared from her position and intercepted the blow the moment the demonic beast’s attack was about to fall.

She hadn’t used her shield for protection. Instead, she had used her own body!

The sharp claws had already pierced through her shoulder.

Blood dripped down her armor drop by drop, landing on Luo Tian’s face. Kailin’s face was slightly pale as she turned to look at Luo Tian and said, “Just now you saved my brother’s life. Now, I have paid you back.”

After she said that, two other paladins surged forward.

With a flash of their swords, they sliced the demonic beast’s arms clean off.

“Boom~!”

The arms, along with the claws still embedded in Kailin’s body, fell down.

“Boom~!”

Kailin’s shoulder was torn further by the downward force of the arm’s fall. Blood instantly sprayed out like a fountain.

The pain caused her entire body to tremble uncontrollably.

At that moment, Luo Tian was utterly shocked.

She actually had such fast reflexes! If he hadn’t intervened, she would have been perfectly capable of protecting herself. His unnecessary action had instead made him a burden to her.

Luo Tian felt a bit guilty, but judging by the look in her eyes, he could tell his goal had been achieved.

“Commander!”

“Commander!”

“Quick, get the Commander back!”

Several paladins shouted this anxiously.

Kailin picked up her sword from the ground, tilted her head back to swallow a small vial of green liquid, and then said, “I’m fine! Keep killing!”

“Morton.”

“Lake.”

“Holy Sword Formation!”

She had no intention of withdrawing from the fight.

Her mission was to help the Black Robe High Priest seize the Seven-Colored Divine Stone. A mission was a mission – even though the Black Robe could have saved her at that moment but didn’t, she didn’t blame him. The people of the Holy See were incredibly cold-blooded, something she had known about for a long time.

Otherwise, her father wouldn’t have died so easily.

The scattered paladins very quickly formed a small combat formation.

Kailin said coldly to Luo Tian, “If you don’t want to die, stay far away.”

As soon as her voice faded, she raised her sword, pointing it at the lead demonic beast, and shouted, “Strike!”

They began the battle as separate individuals.

Now, fifteen paladins were fighting together, their combined power surging forward like a bulldozer.

“Left side, defend!”

“Ha~!”

“Right side, strike!”

“Ha~!”

It had to be said that Kailin was clearly their core. Whether it was her commands or the aura of a powerhouse she radiated, every member of the Paladin Legion felt a deep respect for her. This was true cohesion.

Under her command, the twenty demonic beasts were quickly killed.

However, the next problem arose!

The moment the last demonic beast fell dead, space began to distort. A series of thundering trampling sounds echoed from the space, sounding like an army of tens of thousands with a momentum that shook the heavens.

With the twenty demonic beasts dead, the next wave would be forty.

The numbers were doubling!

Where exactly were these demonic beasts coming from?

Were there even this many rank nine demonic beasts in the entire Pangu Mountain Range?

It was unimaginable!

Kailin’s expression changed slightly. She waved her longsword and shouted, “Retreat!”

They could handle twenty, but they could not possibly be a match for forty rank nine demonic beasts!

The numbers were simply too overwhelming!

The Black Robe High Priest’s expression suddenly turned ice-cold as he harrumphed, “Without my order, none of you are permitted to retreat a single step! Anyone who dares to retreat violates our previous agreement and shall suffer God’s punishment and the pursuit of the entire Tribunal!”

Luo Tian couldn’t help but chide, “Forty rank nine demonic beasts? They are no match for that. Aren’t you being a bit too cruel?”

The Black Robe High Priest chuckled before saying, “Cruel? You seem quite sympathetic toward them. Or have you fallen for Kailin? She is quite beautiful, so any man would be moved by her looks. You are no exception, right? If you want to save them, then find the entrance quickly. Otherwise, they will all die.”

Kailin’s brow furrowed.

The other paladins looked toward her.

After a few seconds of silence, Kailin’s sword started moving while she shouted, “Prepare for battle!”

The other paladins were momentarily stunned.

At the same time, they drew their spears, raised their shields, and let out a heavy shout, “Haaa~!”

The remaining paladins all charged forward at once.

Live together, die together!

At this moment in time, they didn’t care about anything else.

The Black Robe High Priest had a cold sneer while saying, “Do you see that? This is what’s called a Paladin Legion! Hahaha…”

Luo Tian turned to Liu Zhan and the Saintess, “We’re joining the fight too.”

Liu Zhan summoned his Seven-Colored Divine Bow and said, “I’ve wanted to join the fight for a long time. Unlike certain cold-blooded people… What’s the use of being in the Honorable Emperor realm anyway?”

The Saintess didn’t make any comments.

Her white robes fluttered gently as she moved like an immortal, landing at the front line of the battlefield.

Kailin said coldly, “You had better stay alive, because we won’t care whether you live or die.”

The Saintess replied just as coldly, “Just take care of yourself.”

Fatty Liu laughed before saying excitedly, “Fighting alongside two great beauties has always been what this young master wanted most!”

Luo Tian gave him a look of disdain before turning to the Black Robe and asking, “Are you not going to make a move?”

The Black Robe High Priest replied with a smile, “There is no need for me to waste yuan energy in a place like this. Luo Tian, they might all die after this wave. But don’t worry, I won’t let you die. If you want to save them, you had better find the entrance. Otherwise… heh heh…”
