Let’s Squander A Billion First!

Chapter 1893: Chapter 1893: Magic Apostle (14)

In the hallway covered with a thick carpet, a young man played casually with a Gold Coin in his hand as he strolled along.

He hung his head slightly, seemingly lost in thought.

”Young Master.”

The young man lifted his gaze slightly and looked at the person who had somehow appeared beside him.

”Is everything resolved?” His fingers rubbed the surface of the Gold Coin, his tone languid, with a trace of a gentle smile at the corner of his mouth.

”Yes, the traitors have been rooted out and dealt with according to the rules.” The person responded respectfully.

The young man’s eyes curved in a smile, and after a moment, he tilted his head slightly and said to the person, ”If something like this happens again, I will be very angry.”

The person bowed even lower: ”Yes.”

The young man placed the Gold Coin into the person’s palm: ”This is for you.”

The Gold Coin in his palm seemed to carry the warmth of the young man, and the person’s hands trembled visibly, not wanting to accept it, yet too afraid to throw it away.

”Thank you, Young Master.”

The young man chuckled contentedly and walked away.

As soon as the young man disappeared from view, the person’s palm began to burn visibly, and the Gold Coin vanished into the flames without a trace.

The Gold Coin burned for only a minute, and the man gritted his teeth, not making a sound.

After the flames extinguished, his hand was unharmed, as if what had just happened was an illusion.

This was just a minor punishment; if there’s a next time, that person likely wouldn’t be so lenient.

It was indeed his oversight that led to the mistake, just a small punishment, for which he should be grateful.

The man exhaled, tidied his clothes, and headed in the direction the young man had gone.

-

The audience entering the Colosseum gradually increased.

Here, seats did not have specific markings, so arriving early allowed one to choose a good spot.

This aspect can be described as ’fair to all.’

Chuzheng and Alice arrived early and had already chosen their spots.

At this moment, there were no fights in the Colosseum, only some staff-like people checking and arranging things inside.

The entire Colosseum was ridiculously large, so the stands felt quite empty, and apart from a few more crowded spots, people were scattered around sparsely.

Chuzheng chose an excellent position, and the people around her started to increase.

Alice sat uneasily.

The presence of these well-mannered and elegantly behaving people exerted an unspoken pressure on her.

Alice cautiously glanced at Chuzheng.

The girl sat composedly, one hand on the armrest, a posture like a crowned monarch looking down on all.

Alice swallowed...

How does she manage to remain so calm amid so many people?

”Over there, that spot is better.”

”But there are so many people there.”

”Hey, aren’t there still empty seats there? Come on, hurry.”

A few young boys and girls sat down behind Chuzheng and Alice.

Alice turned her head to look and found them somewhat familiar.

She cautiously nudged Chuzheng: ”Xue Laiya, are those... your classmates?”

Chuzheng didn’t even look: ”I don’t know.”

”...” At least take a look!

Alice, being timid, didn’t dare turn around again.

But the chatter from behind kept coming through.

”This place is huge...”

”Yeah, from the outside it doesn’t seem that big, but it’s massive inside.”

”You don’t know, this Colosseum is augmented with a Spatial magic array; it doesn’t appear big from the outside, but inside it’s huge. Rumor has it, if filled, it can hold up to two hundred thousand people.” One of the boys spoke proudly of what he knew.

”Spatial magic?”

”Two hundred thousand people?”

Among Magic, the most common elements are wind, fire, earth, wood, and water.

Following these are the rather special ice and thunder.

Rare Light Element and Dark Element.

Finally, there’s the almost extinct Space Element, which is said to be beyond anyone’s grasp on the Western Continent now.

If it weren’t for some surviving Magic Scrolls or ancient Magic Arrays proving the existence of Spatial magic, people would have thought it to be a fabricated magic.

The discussions behind grew more fervent, and the noise level increased.

Chuzheng originally didn’t mind, but this group started getting excessively rowdy, and Chuzheng could feel their commotion even while seated.

It felt like when a kid keeps kicking seats during a movie, causing endless disturbance.

Chuzheng tolerated it for a while, but unable to restrain herself, turned around and looked back: ”You all, keep quiet.”

The noise behind stopped abruptly, faces frozen in a pause like someone pressed the pause button.

After a while, a boy stammered out: ”Xue... Xue Laiya!!”

”Yes, it’s me.”

”...”

Why is she here!!

Seeing her at school is one thing, but how come they run into her even when out for fun!!

Seeing that face, one recalls the fear of being dominated by her at school.

Even Elsa doesn’t dare mess with her, so on what facade would they dare oppose her.

Chuzheng’s tone carried a threat: ”Be quiet, understood?”

The group unanimously covered their mouths, nodding in agreement.

Chuzheng, satisfied, turned back around.

The few people exchanged silent messages with their eyes.

—Why is she here?

—Who knows.

—How about we switch places?

—Yes, yes, switch to another place!!

However, they discovered dejectedly that both ends were occupied, and to get out, the others would have to make way slightly.

Yet these people seemed like tough characters who weren’t easy to provoke, and even before they spoke up, the others cast fierce glances over.

Sniff, sniff.

Wanna go home.

The boy who brought them received a silent blame.

If it wasn’t for his persuasion to see the dragon, they wouldn’t be sitting here now.

The few students, quail-like, didn’t dare make a sound as they huddled behind.

-

At five fifty in the afternoon, the magical screen above the Colosseum rose, showing the rules within.

The Colosseum, of course, involves humans and beasts dueling, with only one side surviving.

Formal competitions, unlike those Chuzheng watched earlier.

And every spectator present could participate in betting, wagering on who would win.

This was essentially a large-scale gambling scene.

I wonder if this world forbids gambling; could reporting it earn one a good citizen title?

[Young lady, I assure you, if you do that, you’ll be finished.]

Chuzheng: ”...”

Chuzheng abandoned the thought of reporting and continued reading the scrolling text on the magical screen.

The beginning matched what was read in the previous booklet.

But the latter part was entirely different.

That was...

Auction rules and challenge rules.

Challenge rules?

These challenge rules seemed more about facing the audience than those reckless individuals participating in the competition.

Yet, after some thought, it wasn’t incorrect; this was the black market, after all.
