Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Upon hearing two concepts that she thought would never be combined in a lifetime being put together by Xiao Han, Mei Linde was clearly stunned.

Whether it was the “Primal” representing Primal Authority, or the “Great” representing a Grand Spellbook, how were these two pieced together?

“Primal Great Fool’s Dream Transformation Spell...”

After calming her mood, the Academy Head looked at me again, “Does this ‘Great’ of yours represent a Grand Spellbook, or is it that ‘Great Fool’s Dream’ you little thing call yourself? I remember you seem to call yourself the Sage of the Fool’s Dream and the Village Chief of the Fool’s Village. Don’t tell me you gave yourself another title like Great Fool’s Dream?”

“Let me state this in advance, the prefix ‘Great’ cannot be used casually. It specifically refers to things that exist eternally alongside the Void. There is a reason why the characteristics of a Grand Spellbook can be granted the prefix ‘Great’, but this Great Fool’s Dream of yours...”

“Of course it refers to the Grand Spellbook.”

I hurriedly spoke: “Did Big Sis Mei forget that I dismantled the Grand Spellbook you gave me into the original Sacred Relic?”

“Hiss... Xiao Han.”

Mei Linde sucked in a breath of cold air.

Although it was the first time she heard such a concept, she could imagine what this implied, “You intend to use [Transcendent Knowledge] to open a path for the Fool’s Dream?”

“Yes! I didn’t expect Big Sis Mei to be so amazing, I thought this line of thinking would be very hard to come up with.”

“You’ve already put the thinking into your naming, but it’s a pity I can’t give you too much help in the field of life.”

The Academy Head shook her head regretfully, then she came over to the sofa on the side, “Xiao Han let’s sit together.”

Xiao Han had come to her with such a major matter, so there was naturally no need to stay in her original seat to chat.

Furthermore, she also had some things she wanted to talk to Xiao Han about, namely the matter of the King of Ancient Glacial Ice.

She hadn’t expected Xiao Han to come in person.

It was just that she had come in a form that exceeded her expectations.

Big Sis Bai brought me to the side, and I moved from Big Sis Bai’s shoulder to sit on Big Sis Bai’s lap.

Opposite us, Mei Linde looked at Bai Yu, who was full of smiles and doting, feeling as if she were sitting opposite someone holding a doll.

“Since you didn’t come this time for me to solve your physical condition, Xiao Han, what do you want to say? To even call Bai Yu over, it shouldn’t be a small matter, right?”

Mei Linde did not waste any more breath on that so-called Primal Great Fool’s Dream Transformation Spell.

Although she was ten thousand times shocked by it, it also exceeded her ability.

She did not have much experience in the field of life; otherwise, when the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell was born, she wouldn’t have failed to settle these Fool’s Dreams.

Back then, the reason she took over the Fool’s Dreams was primarily because no professional team of Witches in fields related to life creation would take them.

After all, the special existence of the Fool’s Dream—dream life?

That concept simply didn’t exist.

In the end, she combined her Metamorphic Incubation and collaborated with some teams that wanted to try, then created bodies for them that could move in reality, finally settling them in the Fool’s Village Secret Realm.

They encountered an insurmountable barrier in the field of dream life and finally abandoned the plan to make the Fool’s Dreams become lives, turning instead to work on other living races.

Precisely because this series of events spanned over a hundred years, and she was the Witch who experienced it personally, she could more clearly appreciate just how outrageous this matter was.

“Actually, this matter is also related to Primal spells.”

Regarding the Academy Head’s intention to jump straight into the main topic, I was still a bit unaccustomed.

Perhaps the Academy Head had already adapted to my personality of liking to dive into the main topic.

This was a good thing for me though.

“Related to Primal spells? Did you run into a difficult problem?”

The Academy Head pondered for a moment.

She didn’t remember Xiao Han having any relationship with Primal spells, the only connection was the life experiment of the Fool’s Dream.

Furthermore... there was the equivalent trial of investment and return she had mentioned to Xiao Han before, but she hadn’t taken that matter seriously.

“Naturally, there aren’t many big problems with Primal spells, and many issues are steadily progressing. I enjoy the sense of achievement brought by overcoming difficulties step by step. This time, the main thing I wanted to talk to Academy Head Mei about was that matter...”

“That matter? Which matter?”

Mei Linde asked with a frown.

“It’s... back then, the matter where Big Sis Mei wanted to give me the Grand Spellbook as an investment.”

“Oh that matter.”

Mei Linde recalled it quickly, and even remembered some details of the process back then.

And since Xiao Han said it was related to Primal spells, then it could basically be determined what Xiao Han came here for this time.

“Xiao Han, you came to see me specifically for that matter? No matter how you put it, I am the Academy Head. I’m usually very busy!”

The Academy Head pretended to speak seriously, but there was a hint of teasing in her tone.

“Perhaps this might be a small matter to Big Sis Mei, but it might not be so for the Fool’s Dream.”

Hearing the Academy Head say this, I breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Given the Academy Head’s attitude and the looseness of the contract back then, this matter shouldn’t be very difficult.

The reason I was so worried before was mainly related to my thinking habits; I like to consider the worst-case scenario.

“Has Xiao Han realized the importance of Primal Fool’s Dream spells?”

Mei Linde continued to ask tentatively.

Her understanding of Primal spells wasn’t quite enough.

They weren’t like Grand Spellbooks that could be used as soon as they were obtained with impressive power; the meaning they represented was more on another level.

At least, she had never held a Primal spell.

“Um, I’ve gradually begun to realize it.”

I nodded.

“Is it convenient to elaborate?”

Mei Linde asked on a whim.

She hadn’t touched the deeper fields of life and had only a half-baked understanding of the Primal concepts of a race.

Don’t look at how many research teams there were in various life fields in the Main World—what did a few hundred or a thousand years count for?

A life experiment was a time-consuming project.

A hundred or a thousand years only amounted to a dozen or a few dozen biological generations.

Did anyone really think that without coincidences or encounters, brand new lives would be born in such a step-by-step manner?

Life experiments were mostly working on revival plans for extinct races rather than the creation of entirely new races.

After all, the Void had developed for so long that the abundance of life sequences had even exceeded the individual’s preconceptions of life.

Therefore, Mei Linde didn’t mind learning about a topic she had never heard of but was very interested in, even if just to listen to it for fun as a layman.

“Does Big Sis Mei want to understand the extent of my understanding of the Primal concept?”

“Um, you can understand it that way.”

Mei Linde subconsciously rubbed the tip of her nose with her hand, then nodded and spoke.

“Then I’ll just say it straight. If there’s anywhere I’m wrong, please correct me in time, Big Sis Mei.”

“There’s no need to be so formal, just treat it as an exchange. Xiao Han, you already know that I don’t have many achievements in the field of life. Just take my words as a reference; everything should be based on your own understanding.”

Mei Linde said, somewhat embarrassed.

“Um, I will. Then I shall explain my understanding of the Primal. Of course! It’s purely derived from the racial Primal and its derivative Primal Transformation Spell and Primal Summoning Spell. I don’t really understand other types of Primal spell sequences.”

After speaking, I began my narrative.

“Regarding the Primal of a race, it can essentially be understood as a portion of power, the power that opens up a race’s life sequence. Because of this, once the path is opened, even if an extinct race is revived again, a Primal cannot be born because the power of that racial Primal already exists.”

“The opened Primal race corresponds to two existences on the life sequence: the racial concept and the bloodline information. These two can also be seen as Authorities, and when these Authorities are utilized, they manifest as summoning and transformation.”

“The Primal is the initial template in the life sequence, while racial continuation declares the disordered evolution of the template. Therefore, the first significance of the Primal is born: anchoring the racial concept.”

“For a race, with the passage of time, the disordered evolution that continues to repeat will inevitably touch the framework of a race. The Primal is the template that prevents this framework from being destroyed, as well as the anchor for the race as it falls into the unknown abyss during evolution.”

“Second, I believe the Primal and the race achieve each other. This is also how I see the value of Primal Fool’s Dream spells for the Fool’s Dream. Once there is a Primal within a race, it means the race can derive racial branches under absolute control.”

“Third, as the race becomes larger, the power of the Primal ancestor will also become stronger because all the possibilities of the race originate from the Primal template. In other words, as long as something is achieved within the racial framework of the race, the Primal can inevitably achieve it.”

“Fourth, the Primal...”

As I spoke more, Mei Linde listened while breaking into a cold sweat.

Although what Xiao Han said was very easy to understand, as she listened, she couldn’t help but let her thoughts wander... she always felt that the content Xiao Han spoke of had a classic case that all Witches recognized.

The Primal Witch.

And Xiao Han was using her cognition to deconstruct the existence and power composition of the Primal Witch!

The Primal Witch had never restricted Witches from understanding her.

She had even heard rumors that even within the Witch race, many Transcendent Witches were interested in the Primal Witch herself, but these Witches never received much of a response.

And these Transcendent Witches were even personally “invited” by the Primal Witch to become members of the Witch race.

But she had never expected Xiao Han to... oh wait, Xiao Han never spoke about the Primal Witch.

Her thoughts had gone the wrong way!

That’s right!

Her thoughts went the wrong way!

Xiao Han never mentioned the Primal Witch!

“Actually, it’s easy to understand with an example. Back when I was helping April advance to a Transcendent Witch, I took the opportunity to understand the Witch racial concept and personally witnessed the Primal concept nurtured within the Witch racial concept. I even made a small deal with that newly born Primal concept...”

Mei Linde: “...”

“Actually, it wasn’t really a deal, I was even given a warning... saying not to delve too deeply into certain forbidden fields, that it was for the good of me, her, and the Witch race.”

At this moment, the sound of someone swallowing was particularly piercing.

Then the Academy Head’s voice followed:

“Xiao Han, why didn’t I hear you mention this to me at the time?”

“Um... maybe I thought Big Sis Mei wouldn’t be interested? Afterwards, that consciousness even praised me, saying the ambition behind some of the unique techniques I mastered was not small.”

I spoke, recalling the images from back then.

“If Xiao Han encounters this kind of thing again next time, remember to tell me. I’m quite... quite interested.”

Mei Linde wiped the sweat from her forehead that didn’t exist as she spoke to me.

“Um, okay.”

“Since that’s the case, let’s leave it at that for now. If you go on, I assume you won’t be very certain either, Xiao Han? I’ve understood it to this level. Let’s get back to the main topic. Xiao Han, didn’t you have something to find me for?”

“True.”

I nodded and didn’t waste any more breath on this topic.

I picked up a cup of black tea that the Academy Head had brewed for me, moistened my lips and tongue, and continued to speak:ℯℯ𝑙.

“Actually, coming here this time, I mainly wanted to bring up that trial contract we signed back then with Big Sis Mei.”

“That contract... indeed.”

After returning to the main topic, Mei Linde also breathed a sigh of relief and continued with the topic, “Xiao Han wants to not fulfill those two Primal spell sequences, right?”

“Oh no no no!”

I hurriedly waved my hands to indicate that wasn’t what I meant, “The Primal spell sequences, still two of them, I will definitely fulfill the contract! It’s just that I hope it’s not the Primal Fool’s Dream Transformation Spell and the Primal Fool’s Dream Summoning Spell as the chips, is that okay? As long as you give me time, I am willing to provide the Primal spell sequences of a completely new race as a return in the future!”

“...”

Listening to my words, Mei Linde fell silent all of a sudden.

Only after a good while did she speak: “Xiao Han, tell me the truth, am I such an Academy Head in your heart? Clearly you still call me Big Sis Mei one after another, you making me very sad acting like this...”

“Eh? No no! That’s not what I meant!”

“If it’s not that, what is it? You specifically ran over to ask me about such a small matter, isn’t it just because you don’t want to use the Fool’s Dream as a chip? I can remove this condition for you without any problem.”

“Ah? But... but we still signed a Witch’s Contract for this?”

I was momentarily speechless.

“Witch’s Contract...”

Mei Linde slapped her forehead, “Does the contract say that what I want is the Primal spell of the Fool’s Dream? No! What we signed was a Witness Contract!”

“Witnessing that trial. This trial is established on the premise that both of us agree to it. If we have questions about this trial, we can discuss them at any time, and we can even completely overturn the previous investment exchange.”

“Uh... it can... be like that?”

“Of course.”

Mei Linde leaned back, resting against the sofa, and continued to speak with a smile:

“And furthermore, your Fool’s Dream race is researching the Primal Great Fool’s Dream Transformation Spell. What I want is a Primal spell sequence, not a Primal Great spell sequence. Therefore, the Primal spell of the Fool’s Dream does not fit the contract. Xiao Han, do you understand?”

“It can... be explained like that?!”
