Invincible Snake Emperor

Chapter 694: Chapter 639: Tu Xiao’an’s Impulse (Part 2)

Tu Xiao’an took a deep breath. He turned to look at Su Rushi’s tranquil, sleeping face, quietly extended his arms, and then gently pulled her cold, delicate body into his embrace.

Looking down at her, Tu Xiao’an’s entire world lit up in that moment. His demonic, bewitching eyes sparkled like the brightest stars in the night sky.

’Haha... I finally get to hold her!’

’This is amazing.’

At his touch, Su Rushi’s delicate body trembled slightly. Her eyelashes fluttered, looking as if they might open at any moment.

Startled, Tu Xiao’an immediately changed back into a delicate little snake.

’Damn it! If she opened her eyes and saw my human form, the system would punish me by docking me three Ranks.’

The cost of three Ranks was simply too high. It had Tu Xiao’an walking on thin ice, his heart pounding more than a thief’s.

Thankfully, it was a false alarm. Su Rushi’s eyes never opened. However, unbeknownst to Tu Xiao’an, a faint smile graced her sleeping face.

Phew...!

Having let out a long breath, Tu Xiao’an grew restless again. Like a boy stealing a secret rendezvous, he transformed once more and embraced Su Rushi. Her delicate body was cold, but it didn’t affect Tu Xiao’an at all; on the contrary, it felt extremely comfortable.

The sweet, subtle fragrance wafting from her body made Tu Xiao’an’s heart race, and he found it impossible to stop.

Looking down at her cool, red lips, Tu Xiao’an could no longer control himself. A roar echoed in his heart. ’To die for such beauty would be a romantic end!’

’Right now, he wasn’t a snake. He was a man.’

’With a beauty in his arms... forgetting about, you know, *that*... at least a kiss wouldn’t be going too far, right? This is a rare opportunity, especially since that damned old man isn’t here watching him like a hawk.’

’This is the Snake Palace. He is the one and only king. No one would dare control what he wanted to do.’

Slowly, so slowly, he moved his face closer, drawing nearer and nearer to Su Rushi’s fragrant lips. They were so close they could hear each other breathe.

Su Rushi’s eyelashes trembled again, and her breathing began to deepen.

’She’s not asleep. She might be awake.’

This time, Tu Xiao’an wasn’t scared into changing back. A glint shone in his demonic, profound eyes. Whether she was asleep or awake, he leaned close to her ear and whispered domineeringly, ”Don’t open your eyes.”

The moment the words left his mouth, Tu Xiao’an’s warm lips pressed against hers.

Su Rushi’s delicate body jolted. For some reason, she didn’t struggle. Instead, she just kept her eyes tightly shut, tacitly accepting his trespass.

A snake’s spring has arrived...!

......

The next day, Tu Xiao’an was preparing to leave the Snake Palace Castle with Su Rushi, riding the Immortal Spirit Peacock, but he was stopped by Elder Snake.

”Where are you heading, My King?”

Tu Xiao’an looked at the respectful Elder Snake and didn’t hide his intentions. ”I’m taking her to see the old Purple Bamboo Forest.”

Elder Snake naturally knew who ”her” referred to.

In fact, this woman, Su Rushi, was now quite famous in the Yaoling Mountain Range. Back when the White Demon King married a human girl, he held a grand wedding and sent out invitations to all the Demon Kings. Countless demons came to celebrate.

Su Rushi was thus fated to be remembered by all the demons. Moreover, the King of the Snake Clan had crashed the White Demon King’s wedding, and in an unbelievable turn of events, killed the White Demon King, shaking the entire Yaoling Mountain Range.

Therefore, Su Rushi had practically become a legendary human woman. Especially within the Snake Race, there wasn’t a soul who didn’t know of her.

”The place you speak of, My King... isn’t that the White Demon King’s territory?” Elder Snake asked.

Tu Xiao’an nodded. Seeing that Elder Snake clearly had something on his mind, he said, ”What is it, Elder Snake? Is there a problem?”

”My King, it is best if you do not go to the White Demon King’s territory. After the White Demon King died, his domain in the Azure Bamboo Forest was carved up by the Yellow Demon King and the Gray Demon King. That area is now the territory of two Deep Mountain Demon Kings. For you to go there just like this... I fear it would be unwise.”

’Damn it.’ Tu Xiao’an felt a surge of irritation. He had gone through all the trouble of killing the White Demon King, only for those two fiends to reap the benefits.

Originally, the White Demon King’s domain should have rightfully belonged to the Snake Race. But on the day Tu Xiao’an killed him, he had immediately left the Yaoling Mountain Range.

Without their king’s command, the Snake Race didn’t dare to act rashly. They could only watch with envy as the two Deep Mountain Demon Kings carved up the White Demon King’s territory.

The various clans that had been vassals to the White Demon King also flocked to serve these two new Demon Kings.

You could say that Tu Xiao’an had done the Yellow Demon King and the Gray Demon King a huge favor.

And he himself had toiled for nothing.

”Those two fiends just carved it up? The Fox Race’s Fox Immortal King didn’t make a move?” Tu Xiao’an asked curiously.

Elder Snake shook his head. ”The Fox Race seems to have no interest in territorial disputes. They never showed up from beginning to end.”

”You don’t want me to go because you’re afraid I’ll be in danger?” Tu Xiao’an said, smiling at Elder Snake.

Elder Snake bowed slightly. ”My King, you and the Gray Demon King are already mortal enemies. If you go, he will surely make a move.”

”I don’t even give that rat a second thought,” Tu Xiao’an said with disdain.

”My King, your Cultivation is profound and your might is unrivaled. Naturally, you do not fear the Gray Demon King. The problem is, the Gray Demon King and the Yellow Demon King have always been in cahoots. There’s no guarantee they won’t join forces against you, My King.”

’Hmm, that’s true.’ The Yellow Demon King’s Killing Intent toward him, a snake, was probably no less than the Gray Demon King’s.

”It doesn’t matter. I’m not afraid of them even if they join forces,” Tu Xiao’an said after a moment’s thought. ”Besides, the White Demon King’s territory should belong to our Snake Race. If they think they can just swoop in and take it, it won’t be that simple.”

’When has Tu Xiao’an ever taken a loss? How could he just let a rat and a weasel get away with this? In their dreams.’

However, now was not the time to take it back by force. Of his powerful Battle Companions, the Cyan Dragon was guarding Bai Town, while the Bull Demon King, the Ape King, and Golden Pupils were all evolving.

Once their evolution was complete, that would be the time for Tu Xiao’an to make his move.

If the Yaoling Mountain Range was destined to have a Monarch, then Tu Xiao’an would not hesitate to claim the title.

However, Elder Snake’s words served as a reminder to Tu Xiao’an. He had originally planned for Su Rushi to go to the Purple Bamboo Forest, and if she liked it, she could move back in.

But if that was the plan, she really couldn’t live there for the time being. After all, it was too far from the Snake Race’s domain, and Tu Xiao’an wasn’t confident he could deal with two Deep Mountain Demon Kings, plus other Great Demons.

But just going for a visit would be fine.

With Tu Xiao’an’s current strength, he only really had to fear Rank Four beings.

”My King, if you really must go, please take some of our Snake Race’s experts with you,” Elder Snake said, still worried.

”No need. I have plenty of Battle Companions,” Tu Xiao’an refused Elder Snake’s kind offer and left with Su Rushi and the Azure Owl.

’He’d given the Golden-winged Flying Horse to his older sister, so he had no choice but to use the Azure Owl, this Immortal Spirit Peacock.’

After leaving the Snake Palace, on the journey, Su Rushi uncharacteristically did not hold the delicate little snake Tu Xiao’an in her arms, instead giving him the cold shoulder.

Feeling guilty, Tu Xiao’an naturally knew the reason, so he just quietly acted like a mute snake.

The Immortal Spirit Peacock traveled unimpeded, flying for several hours before landing at the entrance to the Purple Bamboo Forest.

”Xiaoqing, let’s go inside! I’ll take you to see my Rushi Pavilion, it’s beautiful!” Su Rushi’s eyes sparkled. The moment the Azure Owl landed and completed its Transformation, she grabbed its hand and started running inside.

From start to finish, she didn’t spare a single glance for the snake, Tu Xiao’an.

Tu Xiao’an gave a wry smile and could only float along behind them.

’Last night he had been a *little* impulsive, but only a little. He hadn’t actually gone all the way and had his way with Su Rushi.’

’In this respect, the courage of this generation’s Snake King really wasn’t all that impressive.’

”Who goes there?! How dare you trespass in the Purple Bamboo Forest! Do you have a death wish?”

Su Rushi and Xiaoqing hadn’t even officially entered the Purple Bamboo Forest when two half-human, half-beast Rat Spirits darted out.

These rats had become spirits. They were enormous, stood upright, and looked even more imposing than a burly man. Moreover, their rat-like faces were extremely ferocious and ugly.

Beings that were half-human and half-beast had given up on achieving Rank Three of Enlightenment. For their entire lives, until the day they died, they would never be able to cross the threshold of Rank 3.

After all, while animals could become spirits and demons, not all of them could achieve enlightenment and undergo the Tribulation.

If their Talent was insufficient, they could only become half-human, half-beast. At least then they could still walk on two feet.
