Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2136: Chapter 1007: Support (2)

But after all, he is a disciple of the Sever Gold Sect, naturally feeling a bit hesitant.

”If I do this, won’t it be aiding the enemy...”

Mo Hua looked serious, ”Are we friends or not?”

Song Jian was a bit stunned, he wanted to say no, but facing Mo Hua, he didn’t dare to, so he could only nod reluctantly.

Mo Hua nodded, ”Since we are friends, helping a friend, how can that be considered ’aiding the enemy’?”

”Helping me is helping yourself. Since you are helping yourself, how can it be considered aiding the enemy?”

”Those fellow disciples of yours, although they have some abilities, they are narrow-minded and lack a broad vision; they will never achieve great things in the future.”

”Suppressing them will pave the way for your own rise.”

”Once you rise, you can lead the Sever Gold Sect to become better and better.”

”This is good for you and good for the Sever Gold Sect. How can such a good thing be seen as ’aiding the enemy’?”

Song Jian was left dumbfounded by Mo Hua’s persuasion.

Clearly, it was a matter of ’aiding the enemy,’ yet he spoke of it as if it was beneficial for everyone, even the Sever Gold Sect.

Song Jian knew in his heart that he was undoubtedly being taken in by Mo Hua.

But to be fair, Mo Hua’s words also made sense.

The Sever Gold Sect is pragmatic, and among the disciples, there’s a lack of unity, with everyone scheming against each other and switching sides as the wind turns.

When you’re strong, everyone will support you, but once you’re weak, even your own parents won’t spare you a glance.

No one is as trustworthy as oneself.

Additionally, given Mo Hua’s astuteness, if he doesn’t get the intelligence from him, he would obtain it through other channels.

Since that’s the case, why not go with the flow?

At least Mo Hua never played tricks, what he offered were all tangible benefits.

”Alright!”

Song Jian nodded and proceeded to tell Mo Hua about his several competitors within the Sever Gold Sect, including their cultivation techniques, habits, and hidden cards, one by one, in full detail.

Mo Hua recorded it all on a jade slip.

With the insider information provided by Song Jian, success was assured.

After taking down the notes, Mo Hua put away the jade slip, suddenly remembering something, and asked Song Jian:

”How are you progressing with the Sever Gold Sword Control Jue?”

Song Jian didn’t quite understand and asked, ”What do you mean?”

Mo Hua said, ”Go practice a bit below, let me see your level.”

He wanted to ”support” Song Jian into a position of power, so naturally, this Song Jian couldn’t be too useless, otherwise, it would be wasted effort.

Song Jian felt uncomfortable refusing, so he went below and demonstrated the Sever Gold Sword for a while.

After watching, Mo Hua had an assessment in his mind and called him up, saying: ”Your Sever Gold Sword is learned decently, but it’s too superficial, lacking in essence, I will give you some pointers...”

Song Jian was dumbfounded.

For a moment, his thoughts were chaotic, thinking he must have misheard.

A disciple of the Taixu Gate wants to give guidance on how a Sever Gold Sect lineage should practice their sect’s Sever Gold Sword Control Jue?

What’s the logic in that?

What a joke...

But he soon realized that Mo Hua wasn’t joking with him, all his shortcomings in swordsmanship were pointed out by Mo Hua.

Additionally, details about the circulation of spiritual energy and the stimulation of sword intent, neglected by his parents and withheld by elders, the mistakes he made were all diligently corrected by Mo Hua.

This cultivation world is too absurd.

Song Jian truly felt like he was living in a surreal moment.

And so, this lineage member of the Sever Gold Sect, after an afternoon of ”Sever Gold Sword Jue cultivation guidance” from a junior brother of the Taixu Gate in the small forest, returned to the sect in disbelief.

Afterward, it became simple.

The ”foundation” of the Sever Gold Sect prodigies was thoroughly uncovered.

With higher quality ”Gold-Cutting Armor” and ”Broken Gold Sword,” a little arrangement later, the Taixu Gate easily crushed the Sever Gold Sect.

The Sever Gold Sect was infuriated.

In past Sword Discussion Conferences, they encountered ”Gold-Cutting Armor” and ”Broken Gold Sword” type spiritual artifacts but never faced ones as tricky as those from the Taixu Gate.

From the crafting of spiritual artifacts to the fundamental formations, it was a complete targeting.

The Sever Gold Sect’s leaders concluded that their core inheritance must have been leaked; otherwise, they wouldn’t be countered so thoroughly.

It was even suspected that someone within the Taixu Gate was secretly scheming to steal the Sever Gold Sect’s heritage.

Including the sect-protecting Sword Technique and the Gold-Cutting Sword Formation.

But they couldn’t hold the Taixu Gate accountable.

Because ”in name,” the Taixu Gate indeed had their Sever Gold Sect’s inheritance.

After the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons incident, the Sever Gold Sect, to settle the situation, had to ”cede land and pay compensation,” ”giving” a portion of their inheritance to the Taixu Gate.

These inheritances were superficial, vetted by the Sever Gold Sect elders and supposedly wouldn’t reveal the core secrets.

But now these inheritances became a ”name,” allowing the Taixu Gate to legitimately use a part of the Sever Gold Sect’s techniques and formations against them.

This was a special arrangement Elder Master Xun made for Mo Hua.

And the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons incident remained a painful, unspoken scar for the Sever Gold Sect.

They dared not bring it up, nor confront the Taixu Gate, thus having to swallow this bitter pill.

This generation of genius disciples from the Sever Gold Sect mostly failed in the Sword Discussion, falling at the hands of the Taixu Gate; their chances of victory reduced, and hopes to advance dimmed.

Sever Gold Sect’s hatred toward the Taixu Gate deepened.

But as it happened, Song Jian became the ”sole survivor.”

He was lucky; during the Sword Discussion, he barely encountered the Taixu Gate.
