Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2045  Chapter 978: Solitary Mountain Formation

On top of Solitary Mountain, the Gu Familyʼs large spiritual machine stood tall.

Amid the booming sound, the gigantic arm of the spiritual machine, like a giantʼs arm, was chiseling the mountain body, excavating mines, leveling the collapsed Solitary Mountain, and re-establishing the foundation according to Mo Huaʼs plan, as the groundwork for the Formation.

Mo Hua intended to rebuild a grand Formation atop Solitary Mountain.

This Formation, of course, did not reach the level of a Large Formation.

Even with Mo Huaʼs Divine Sense strength, constructing a Second Grade Large Formation was far from achievable.

Besides that, the enormous manual labor, material resources, prolonged time, and vast consumption of Spirit Stone and Spiritual Ink were beyond Mo Huaʼs capacity.

What Mo Hua constructed was only a large Compound Formation.

Yet this Compound Formation was vast in scale, covering more than half of Solitary Mountain, with diverse formations, complete with the Five Elements and Eight Trigrams, needing to accommodate various Formation Patterns, in some sense, resembling a ”prototype” of a Large Formation.

This was for Mo Hua to ”practice with.”

Unable to construct a Second Grade Large Formation now, he could only settle for the next best thing: stacking up a pseudo Large Formation with a large Compound Formation.

Although itʼs a ”pseudo Large Formation,” its sizable scale makes it very challenging.

This requires extremely profound Formation depth, extremely vast Formation knowledge, and mastery of a great many Second Grade Formations.

Additionally, constructing a large Compound Formation requires the Formation Master to have a grand vision, managing the major structure, overall Formation Pivot, and core Formation Eye, ensuring Formation compatibility, and orchestrating, arranging, and controlling from a macro perspective.

Genuinely possessing such capabilities or relevant experience in a Formation Master is rare.

Since leaving Solitary Mountain, Mo Hua had been contemplating this matter after returning to the Sect.

Whenever he had time, he would plan the large Compound Formation Diagram of Solitary Mountain.

And after pondering for a while, Mo Hua finally managed to draw out the Formation Diagram.

Not entirely confident after planning the Compound Formation Diagram, Mo Hua specifically sought Elder Master Xunʼs opinion.

Upon seeing the large Solitary Mountain Formation Diagram, Elder Master Xunʼs internal emotions were indescribable.

He also realized that this was, in fact, a ”prototype” of a Large Formation.

Itʼs only due to current limitations in ability, manpower, resources, and finances that it turned into a secondary Compound Formation.

However, the grand scheme within, the outline of the Large Formation, is quite evident.

Especially in the eyes of a knowledgeable Fifth Grade Formation Master like Elder Master Xun, he spotted the Large Formation techniques within at a glance.

Elder Master Xun recalled the news heʼd once heard from Tongxian City, stirring waves in his heart once more.

”Back then, did this child... really have the potential to principally construct a First Grade Large Formation?”

The Principal Formation Master of a First Grade Large Formation...

How old was he at that time?

Elder Master Xun was a bit dazed and lost.

He sighed softly, then examined Mo Huaʼs Solitary Mountain Formation Diagram carefully, pointing out several mistakes, refining some nodes, eliminating some Formation Pivots... then, in a finishing, flourish, made the entire diagram more concise and perfect.

After pondering over it, Mo Hua gained immensely, increasingly admiring Elder Master Xunʼs Formation prowess.

With Elder Master Xunʼs ”corrections,” Mo Hua then felt completely at ease.

He formally began implementing his plan according to the diagram to execute his large Compound Formation design, thereby gradually laying the foundation for genuinely constructing a Second Grade Large Formation in the future.

Under Mo Huaʼs overall coordination, the large Solitary Mountain Compound Formation has formally commenced.

This was ”specially authorized” by the Taoist Court.

This kind of large-scale Tao cultivation project is a ”major achievement,” naturally favored by the Solitary Mountain Taoist Court.

Even Master Xia, deploying his supervision power, allocated some Spirit Stone to support the construction of the Solitary Mountain Compound Formation.

Moreover, the Gu Family contributed a fair amount of material resources as well.

Most of the Second Grade large spiritual machines were essentially mobilized from the Gu Family.

The Gu Familyʼs willingness to help partly stems from having a small stake in the artifact refining industry in Solitary Mountain.

Although the industry is meager, it has already become Solitary Mountain Cityʼs ”pillar” of support under Master Guʼs efforts.

Without the Gu Familyʼs refinery shop, Solitary Mountain City would starve many people.

The Gu Familyʼs upright values naturally wouldnʼt sit idly by under such circumstances.

Moreover, as Mo Hua is the head of this ”Formation project,” they have to consider the broader picture and meet Mo Huaʼs favor.

Wenren Wan wholeheartedly supported Mo Hua and helped significantly.

As the Wenren Family legitimate daughter and the Shangguan Familyʼs young lady, she even out of her pocket, covered part of the Compound Formationʼs expenses.

As for the manpower, most came from the Loose Cultivators of Solitary Mountain City.

The Loose Cultivators of Solitary Mountain City were extremely impoverished, barely having enough to eat.

Mo Hua ”provided work as relief,” using the construction of the large Solitary Mountain Compound Formation as a means to keep them occupied.

As long as they helped, regardless of how much, they would have something to eat.

Even the weak-bodied, lonely orphans would get a full meal if they helped move a few stones.

The future dilemma revolves around the Formation.

The large Compound Formation encapsulates an immense amount of formations, which, though less than a Large Formation, vastly exceeds typical Formation projects in complexity.

Even Mo Hua, drawing all these formations, would take a substantial amount of time.

However, he does not have that much time nor can he stay long at Solitary Mountain.

Hiring other Formation Masters would require many Spirit Stones, and Mo Hua didnʼt feel assured doing so.

After much contemplation, Mo Hua came up with a good idea.

He went to find Elder Master Xun again, expressing his desire to give his Junior Brothers and Junior Sisters an opportunity for practical learning in Formation.
